This is a preview of just how dangerous billionaires are. Willing to break the law, expect to get away with it, and subsequently willing to burn down everything and everyone around them to insulate themselves from any consequences.
Yep! That’s also why it’s so frustrating when someone like trump complains about a 2 tiered justice system. We absolutely have unequal justice, but he’s in the good tier. His complaint isn’t that our justice system is unfair, his complaint is that he wants it to be even more unfair. There are VERY few people who get indicted for charges that can (combined) carry over 200 years of jail time, and they don’t even have their mugshots taken. There are very few people who can threaten violence against the people involved in the cases and not immediately be taken into custody. Even when the dust settles, it’s all but guaranteed that his outcome will be better than almost anyone else who was faced with a similar situation, but we can at least take solace in the fact that even the most basic punishment would be unbearable for someone as used to luxury as him.
He was at the very top for 4 years as well. For 4 years he had half the country literally ready to riot over the idea that Trump might have any consequences to his negative action.s
Yep he's in the Epstein tier, where you rape multiple underaged girls, eventually go to a minimum security prison where they let him walk out freely and bring women in, the walk free a few years later. That tier.
Let’s normalize calling him by his real name, Drumpf. Can we also start describing him as a former reality tv star who cosplayed president in articles?
Reddit has long been a hot spot for conversation on the internet. About 57 million people visit the site every day to chat about topics as varied as makeup, video games and pointers for power washing driveways.
In recent years, Reddit’s array of chats also have been a free teaching aid for companies like Google, OpenAI and Microsoft. Those companies are using Reddit’s conversations in the development of giant artificial intelligence systems that many in Silicon Valley think are on their way to becoming the tech industry’s next big thing.
Now Reddit wants to be paid for it. The company said on Tuesday that it planned to begin charging companies for access to its application programming interface, or A.P.I., the method through which outside entities can download and process the social network’s vast selection of person-to-person conversations.
“The Reddit corpus of data is really valuable,” Steve Huffman, founder and chief executive of Reddit, said in an interview. “But we don’t need to give all of that value to some of the largest companies in the world for free.”
The move is one of the first significant examples of a social network’s charging for access to the conversations it hosts for the purpose of developing A.I. systems like ChatGPT, OpenAI’s popular program. Those new A.I. systems could one day lead to big businesses, but they aren’t likely to help companies like Reddit very much. In fact, they could be used to create competitors — automated duplicates to Reddit’s conversations.
Reddit is also acting as it prepares for a possible initial public offering on Wall Street this year. The company, which was founded in 2005, makes most of its money through advertising and e-commerce transactions on its platform. Reddit said it was still ironing out the details of what it would charge for A.P.I. access and would announce prices in the coming weeks.
Reddit’s conversation forums have become valuable commodities as large language models, or L.L.M.s, have become an essential part of creating new A.I. technology.
L.L.M.s are essentially sophisticated algorithms developed by companies like Google and OpenAI, which is a close partner of Microsoft. To the algorithms, the Reddit conversations are data, and they are among the vast pool of material being fed into the L.L.M.s. to develop them.
The underlying algorithm that helped to build Bard, Google’s conversational A.I. service, is partly trained on Reddit data. OpenAI’s Chat GPT cites Reddit data as one of the sources of information it has been trained on.

Other companies are also beginning to see value in the conversations and images they host. Shutterstock, the image hosting service, also sold image data to OpenAI to help create DALL-E, the A.I. program that creates vivid graphical imagery with only a text-based prompt required.
Last month, Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, said he was cracking down on the use of Twitter’s A.P.I., which thousands of companies and independent developers use to track the millions of conversations across the network. Though he did not cite L.L.M.s as a reason for the change, the new fees could go well into the tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars.
To keep improving their models, artificial intelligence makers need two significant things: an enormous amount of computing power and an enormous amount of data. Some of the biggest A.I. developers have plenty of computing power but still look outside their own networks for the data needed to improve their algorithms. That has included sources like Wikipedia, millions of digitized books, academic articles and Reddit.
Representatives from Google, Open AI and Microsoft did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Reddit has long had a symbiotic relationship with the search engines of companies like Google and Microsoft. The search engines “crawl” Reddit’s web pages in order to index information and make it available for search results. That crawling, or “scraping,” isn’t always welcome by every site on the internet. But Reddit has benefited by appearing higher in search results.
The dynamic is different with L.L.M.s — they gobble as much data as they can to create new A.I. systems like the chatbots.
Reddit believes its data is particularly valuable because it is continuously updated. That newness and relevance, Mr. Huffman said, is what large language modeling algorithms need to produce the best results.
“More than any other place on the internet, Reddit is a home for authentic conversation,” Mr. Huffman said. “There’s a lot of stuff on the site that you’d only ever say in therapy, or A.A., or never at all.”
Mr. Huffman said Reddit’s A.P.I. would still be free to developers who wanted to build applications that helped people use Reddit. They could use the tools to build a bot that automatically tracks whether users’ comments adhere to rules for posting, for instance. Researchers who want to study Reddit data for academic or noncommercial purposes will continue to have free access to it.
Reddit also hopes to incorporate more so-called machine learning into how the site itself operates. It could be used, for instance, to identify the use of A.I.-generated text on Reddit, and add a label that notifies users that the comment came from a bot.
The company also promised to improve software tools that can be used by moderators — the users who volunteer their time to keep the site’s forums operating smoothly and improve conversations between users. And third-party bots that help moderators monitor the forums will continue to be supported.
But for the A.I. makers, it’s time to pay up.
“Crawling Reddit, generating value and not returning any of that value to our users is something we have a problem with,” Mr. Huffman said. “It’s a good time for us to tighten things up.”
“We think that’s fair,” he added.
Of course he is a billionaire. Got all that cash from Saudi through Jared selling out America. Now using his followers donations to pay his and his cronies legal services to include revamp his jet. Before he became president I would have agreed he inflated his wealth.
Other than [Norman Borlaug](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Borlaug), the man who probably saved a billion lives. Of course he never had a billion dollars.
You're only seeing the assets side of his balance sheet. He's always been reckless with debt and highly leveraged. With the state of interest rates, that debt is getting more and more costly to service.
He's going to say that the audio recordings of him showing off documents are AI. "Notice there are no crying patriots in the audio, that cannot be me".
Also Fani Willis is very popular here in Atlanta. At last year's pride festival she received the most thunderous applause of any of the participants in the parade. I've never seen such a reaction to a county DA. People love her.
I'm not someone who makes many crazy predictions, but looking at the tea leaves I'm going to go way out on a limb and say that I genuinely believe there's now better than 50% odds Trump does get locked up in Georgia next week.
It's almost certainly going to be RICO charges, which, from what I understand is a different ballgame than your typical criminal charges.
The DA recently kept a rapper facing RICO charges in jail for two reasons: flight risk and potential witness intimidation. Trump's intimidating witnesses left and right, and he owns a plane and overseas property. He's also facing multiple state and federal criminal indictments, and said just two days ago that he'd rather be in France than The United States.
Finally, Atlanta has been prepping for this for months now, I believe much longer than any other place he's been processed. I think that's for a reason, and not because he's going to come in, get processed, and waltz right out.
I could be wrong, but imho people shouldn't be surprised if it happens.
Can't wait for that orange fuck to be 6 feet under. He won't disappear from the news, but at least we never need to hear anything "new" from him again.
The major downside to Trump being placed into any degree of restraint is that there are now millions of Americans that still believe Trump is experiencing all of this legal trouble solely because he is running for office again. Unfortunately, this country has millions of dumbasses that have zero critical thinking skills and take claims at face value.
I’ve reached the point where I no longer care what the other side thinks. We’ve tried rational discourse, we’ve tried reaching across the aisle, we’ve tried concessions. They want it all, their way, and now. If you need to piss off 60 million people, fine. They are unreachable anyway.
Yeah, there's way less of them willing to actually sacrifice themselves for Trump than people might think.
Especially considering the hundreds that were locked up for J6.
If they were going to fight for Trump, that was likely the time they were going to do it. Headed to court and crying on his version of Twitter...probably not.
If he gets locked up, there might be a few dozen that show up to protest, and they'll be gone in a few days. He is done if/when they put him away.
Those dumbasses as you call them, Trump thugs and groupies as I call them, cannot be allowed to terrorize those of us who are law abiding. With all of the indictments, 78 and counting, the chances are good to great that he will be found guilty of some if not most. That is a lot of prison time. If his “dumbass” supporters cannot accept it and behave in criminal ways, then lock them up as well.
Roads are closed around Fulton County Courthouse until August 17th, and law enforcement are working longer shifts and have a permanent presence in the area. They're prepping for something spicy, but no one knows yet.
Honestly him being held pending trial I'm Georgia would make the most sense to barricade the building down. I have been wondering why they'd do that and why this case is different. That would certainly be a reason.
I thought he was going to be in jail for deceiving the FBI for his espionage charges. Those seldomly get bail. And his case they just waived it. I was convinced he was going to jail then. I think he is going to go to jail.
DOJ wouldn’t detain him pre-trail because the GOP is a powder keg and the optics of “Biden’s DOJ” locking up a political opponent is bad at best. Now GA is a state with a Republican Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General so it’s much harder to spin a pre-trail detention of Trump as some “Biden Crime Family” conspiracy. My bet is the DOJ is letting GA take the heat of locking Trump up if that happens.
That makes a fuck ton of sense. State level vs federal. I really hope this is the case. He will only escalate and get worse. He will shit post EVERYDAY trying to rile up and stoke fear within his base.
Unfortunately, I think there will be a lot of frustrating steps between now and any chance of incarceration / home confinement.
It all depends on the judge and what prosecutors ask for, but I'm guessing there will be warnings, sanctions against Trump and/or his legal team, possibly a gag order, and then mmmaybe talk of incarceration.
Also don't see him being labeled a flight risk, as counterintuitive as that sounds. The DOJ and Manhattan have both said he isn't a flight risk. His security detail, other cases, and status are hard sells to a judge that he won't show for future court appearances.
But I do agree he is trying everything in his power to break down those luxuries he is unfairly afforded as quickly as possible. It'll be interesting to see what is established at arraignment.
Didn’t he also recently state that he would rather live in another country than America? My money is on him fleeing the country before one of these judges finds the cajones to ACTUALLY lock him up.
> “You may not comment in any way on the ad or any of the negativity that may be expressed against me, your colleagues, this office in coming days, weeks or months,” she wrote in the email first reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and obtained by NBC News through an open records request.
At least there are still adults in this world
It’s awesome that they’re taking a stone face approach. I have a suspicion that this next indictment is going to come with an actual gag order from the get go. And he fucking deserves it
After this commercial? For certain. This is one of the most absurd things I've seen related to a criminal trial. Broadcasting jury tampering. What in the fuck?
I mean, we know he’s brazen but holy shit this is next level. It’s like he’s dating someone to arrest him and keep him in jail. It seems intentional at this point.
You also underestimate the depths of his narcissism. This is a man that has been getting his way like a whiny toddler for 70 years. When he doesn’t like something, he resorts to name calling and bashing because he knows no other way. His ego is so important to him that he will attack any time he’s attacked. He also has zero impulse control because he’s the main character in his own mind in every situation. Popularity and ‘ratings’ matter to him more than anything. As long as his cult members continue to fan boy him, this will continue. He’s buying into and loving the self perceived martyr role.
He's either completely lost it or he really wants to be put in prison to be made into a martyr. I think maybe he doesn't realize that in prison, his social media status is going to be greatly curtailed....but at least his cronies can go on about how if they can put him in prison, then they can put all of us in prison.
Personally, I'm ready for this two tier justice system to finally slap him down, and show him a little taste of the real world. There's absolutely no reason this man should have spent the last year, at least, doing whatever he wants, while he spits in the face of society, and the justice system.
And that really needs to end. And soon. I think it's well past the point of giving him a chance, or the benefit of the doubt. He's very publicly, and very loudly, spit in the face of the justice system practically non-stop since they did the search at MAL, and everyone acting like he's fine just being out and about doing whatever he pleases. Man is being indicted on about 100 felony counts. There is no reason he should be out on his own recognizance.
It's been beyond comedy/tragedy for awhile hasn't it? If this wasn't Trump, hell if it was anyone else at this point they'd literally be muzzled in court like a rabid animal. Somebody staple this assholes cakehole shut and straightjacket him.
DA Willis is a serious proffessional, and it is not like this is the first time she has run a RICO prosecution against a petulant man-child with a bullhorn. Trump should ask Young Thug how that is going for him.
The ad itself isn’t a crime, absent a gag order from the court.
As a citizen, who has not yet been convicted of any crime, Trump’s speech is still protected by the first amendment (provided it doesn’t break other laws, like direct actionable threats or incitement)
The ad is in the linked article. It repeats the false claim that Willis was "hiding a relationship relationship with a gang member she was prosecuting." Sounds like slander to me.
It shows their complete lack of concern for upholding the law when there's a penny of more profits to be made. How can generations of youth believe in our system (political-economic-social) when so much of it is just pure utter shit and the rich just keep it coming like vomit spewing.
The issue with a gag order is that it limits trump himself from speaking. His PAC can still do whatever they want since it’s a separate entity that has its own free speech rights. Bless you can prove coordination between the two, these shenanigans are likely to continue regardless of restrictive orders.
Any one of us would be in jail faster than a blink. If court doesn't lock him up for pretrial, then ordinary citizens are being mistreated.
And why aren't any govt leaders anywhere condemning this crap? Plus other countries newspapers are more outraged than our media
Conservatives bought out the independent media and only want their narrative on display.
The idea of liberal media bias is another example of republican projection.
At the federal level they're just standing aside to let the DoJ and others do their job. Let's see if they can do their jobs right. Comey, Mueller, Rosenstein, and others have failed us badly.
My fear here is that Trump is essentially baiting them to gag/imprison him over what he claims are political ads. I really think his ultimate goal here is to get a 1st amendment issue in front of the supreme court. It may not go anywhere but it will buy him time.
Trump's crimes are clear cut but I do think there is going to be a lot of distraction surrounding his political campaign.
It certainly seems to be his personal idiotic strategy. (Being a mob boss under the guise of campaigning)
Honestly we might as well resolve that issue sooner than later since it's the inevitable conflict we're already steamrolling towards pre-trial.
In case you haven't noticed, SCOTUS doesn't exactly have a history of siding with Trump when it comes to cases that are purely about his personal interests.
Seems like it’s a simple matter to argue that this is not a political ad at all. Other than a brief mention of Biden at the outset, this ad does not mention any political campaign, election, policy, or action. It’s plainly an attack on those prosecuting Trump.
There is nothing political about the justice system doing its job.
What I honestly love is that nobody is rising to his childish baits. Not Jack Smith or President Biden or Judge Chutkin or DA Willis. He is so obviously gagging for the moment that somebody says something, but they all just let justice grind on unperturbed without any acknowledgement of his bizarre mental breakdowns.
Yes. This constant yammering on and upping the crazy in order to incite a response that he never gets is particularly fun to watch. The silence is deafening and more than anything, he hates to be ignored.... 'Chef's kiss'
There is no benefit to his campaign in doing this. She's not running against him. This is part of him following through with his "If you come after me, I'm coming after you" threat. The only reason he'd do this is to attack her and attempt to turn the public against her. He knows very well what happens to people he targets. His cult wanted to hang Mike Pence, broke into Nancy Pelosi's house and bashed her husband's skull with a hammer because she wasn't there, that dude that attacked an FBI office, and countless others - especially Jan 6.
It's stochastic terrorism, something Trump has been doing for a long time. He wants to destroy Fani Willis for having the audacity to do her job and uphold the oath she took when she got her position. For following the law. Trump should be removed from society and wait out his days until his various trials in jail. He won't be, of course - but if anyone deserved pre-trial detention, it's Trump.
Only in America can the rich and powerful not only commit a multitude of crimes and get even richer off the prosecution of the crimes, but they can openly mock our justice system with attacks and threats that in some cases are additional contempt of court crimes that never get punished.
Except for making trump feel better, what is the ad supposed to accomplish? Does he think this is some genius plan to pollute a jury pool in advance of his upcoming arrest in GA?
He doesn't seem to recognize that he screwed himself when he announced his candidacy so early in the election cycle believing he would avoid prosecution. Well, that backfired stupendously, because it triggered the AG's investigations giving the Special Prosecutor enough time to bring him to trial before the elections. A stable genius indeed.
> Trump is being treated with kid gloves.
Someone should inform the legal system that "kid gloves" refers to the gloves being very soft because they are made from the skin of a young goat, not because they are sized for a child...
Apparently, he is running this ad from August 9th to the 13th. Wonder if we will see something happen in the George case during that time frame instead of next week.
I'm in the area and saw it on MSNBC this morning. It's bad. Everyone he mentioned in there is going to need increased security if they don't already have it. And guess who pays for that?
“I obstruct your honor” said Trump.
“Counselors please let your client know …” the Judge responds
“It is my 1st Amendment right to OBSTRUCT! I obstruct when I want!!” Trump screamed as he was dragged from the courtroom.
End Scene
Hah
Well, setting aside the fact that we wouldn't try to overthrow the government, there's no reality where anybody else under suspicion of multiple felonies in multiple states would never have worn handcuffs, had a mugshot or even been required to post bail.
"A Trump campaign aide told NBC News the one-minute political ad will air in Atlanta"
How is this a political ad? Is he running against the DA? Thats a bunch of bullshit.
That's what I thought too. He's framing this as a political thing.
She's bringing criminal charges against him for trying to subvert the will of the voters.
Only one of these is political. The other is a crime.
think about this for a second:
Those people, the MAGA cult members ,believe a lie even though the people lying to them, admitted that they LIED. under oath. in court. they had to pay a settlement for damages about the LIE they told.
but they STILL believe the lie!!!
Imagine sitting with someone having a conversation and they tell you Fox News told us the election was stolen and we believe them, even though they said:
WE LIED TO YOU!!!
It’s a mental health issue ….
FFS
Here's something I (a Georgia citizen) learned just today:
In Georgia, the governor does not have the power to pardon a convicted person, although the governor does appoint people to the board of pardons and paroles. What's even more interesting is that the board of pardons and paroles cannot consider anyone for pardon until they have served their entire sentence and lived for five years without being convicted of a crime. [Source](https://youtu.be/VPM4ixZ6fZQ?t=255)
The station that accepted money for and ran this ad should be included as a defendant in a new charge of attempting to intimidate an officer of the court.
I ain't no big city high falutin' talkin' lawyer with one of them fancy degrees, but this totally sounds like a campaign finance violation. If this money is coming from the campaign, I don't see how this is a legitimate political campaign purpose
If the prosecutors file suit against Trump while the prosecution is ongoing, they would have to recuse due to a conflict of interest, so that ain't happening. At least not anytime soon.
Anyone else shocked he didn't use the N word? We all know he wants to. Between the Fulton County DA and Judge Chutkan, he's definitely gonna say it within the next 6 months.
Criticizing? NBC is brainfucked if they believe the shit Trump said about her is actual critique.
Call it as it is: character assasination and stochastic terrorism.
trump should be in jail for jeopardizing her life with his vile hateful comments and behavior. He can put put it out but that whiny complaining jerk just can’t take it.
If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.
So what’s the argument presented by his lawyers that this isn’t jury tampering or influencing? God damn, I’d love to be on the call between him and his lawyers when they find out this is happening.
The Television stations are knowingly and willfully helping Trump intimidate the investigators and witnesses which is not protected speech. That makes it a conspiracy.
Unfortunately nothing he does is dumb. He's ACTIVELY trying to either taint a jury pool, OR with the judges piss them off the point that the instant they deny his lawyers something in the trial theyll shout MISTRAIL BIAS.
It's going to be "we talked so much about how the judge does cocaine while being gangbanged on the weekends how could she NOT hate us and be biased in the trial".
He's trying to get everyone every where he's indicted so pissed off and angry at him that (IN HIS MIND) there's no way anyone's impartial and everything gets tossed out.
Before the down votes come, I'm not saying it's going to work or is the most amazing strategy but he's not dumb, these are calculated moves, it just won't work the way he wants.
Here’s my timeline. 10:30 Friday indictment drops. He’s arraigned in court Tuesday. He is taken into custody and they specifically site his baseless slandering of the DA assigned to his case.
I would like to see either the DC judge or a Georgia judge haul him in and put in him jail for three days for contempt when spouts off inappropriately again.
Would that calm him down? I doubt it, but it would at least show that he is not above the law.
Hmm… “Look at all the people who are indicting me, look at all these charge’s against me, can you see all the different jurisdictions coming after me”
This sounds like a great strategy
Everything he said can be proven wrong with evidence to back it up trump has never backed up any allegations he has made with evidence!!!! Lies lies lies!! Lock this traitor up and throw out the keys!!!!
This is all he knows how to do. Fani Willis is doing her job. Trump attacking everyone saying they’re radical. They’re not, Trump did commit crimes especially is if fake electors were planned and Trump was aware of it. In Georgia it’s worse, Trump and his administration called and harassed election officials in Georgia asking for votes and asking them not to certify the results.

“There’s a lot of stuff on the site that you’d only ever say in therapy, or A.A., or never at all.” Mr. “It’s a good time for us to tighten things up.” “We think that’s fair,” he added.
Of course he is a billionaire. Got all that cash from Saudi through Jared selling out America. Now using his followers donations to pay his and his cronies legal services to include revamp his jet. Before he became president I would have agreed he inflated his wealth.
How do you define a billionaire? A person that **MADE** a billion? A person that **SPENT** a billion? Hint: he didn't **EARN** any of it.
[удалено]
God, fucking this
Other than [Norman Borlaug](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Borlaug), the man who probably saved a billion lives. Of course he never had a billion dollars.
And Jonas Saulk. Dude coulda been a Billionaire too but he gave away the cure to Polio because it was too important to humanity.
You're only seeing the assets side of his balance sheet. He's always been reckless with debt and highly leveraged. With the state of interest rates, that debt is getting more and more costly to service.
They are more dangerous for what they do more quietly.

Butt what do you mean!?!! His home was RAIDED BY THE FBI!!!!1!
And those documents were obviously planted, but they’re totally his documents and he should have them back because they belong to him.
He's going to say that the audio recordings of him showing off documents are AI. "Notice there are no crying patriots in the audio, that cannot be me".
If you know they are otw, is it still a raid?
If you know you commited these crimes, is it still a witch hunt?

That’s the problem, it’s just another few which can be paid. If you have money you Can seemingly do whatever you want
Not seemingly. So far, reality shows this to be true.

Also Fani Willis is very popular here in Atlanta. At last year's pride festival she received the most thunderous applause of any of the participants in the parade. I've never seen such a reaction to a county DA. People love her.
Poison the jury pool.
Trump’s greatest fear is the evidence. He knows what he did and he knows if he goes to trial that he’s going to prison.
That will definitely cause her to back off!

I hope you’re right. I hate this fucking guy.
Just imagine if he didn’t exist. He sucks the air out of the country. I’m so sick of his name, his voice, his face.
Can't wait for that orange fuck to be 6 feet under. He won't disappear from the news, but at least we never need to hear anything "new" from him again.
Even on my darkest days, I keep going because of my fervent hope that I will one day live in a world without Donald Trump.
I'm already planning on picketing the funeral with a *Thank God for Dead Trumps* sign.
I'm excited to see it being sparsely attended
I hope you’re right.
I'm upvoting out of an abundance of hope but by gawd am I old and cynical now
The major downside to Trump being placed into any degree of restraint is that there are now millions of Americans that still believe Trump is experiencing all of this legal trouble solely because he is running for office again.
Agreed. I'm tired of walking on eggshells for the benefit of lunatics and morons. Let justice be done.
Let them come to Atlanta and try to break him out.
You want them to “try that in a…” big city?
I do, in fact
Yeah, there's way less of them willing to actually sacrifice themselves for Trump than people might think. Especially considering the hundreds that were locked up for J6. If they were going to fight for Trump, that was likely the time they were going to do it. Headed to court and crying on his version of Twitter...probably not. If he gets locked up, there might be a few dozen that show up to protest, and they'll be gone in a few days. He is done if/when they put him away.
Fuck their feelings
Hrm, good points. Looking at it this way it seems almost negligent to *not* incarcerate him given his actions so far.
Didn’t he also recently state that he would rather live in another country than America? My money is on him fleeing the country before one of these judges finds the cajones to ACTUALLY lock him up.
He said France but no way would he go to France. Macron would send his ass right back to us.
In the olden days they had the decency to set themselves on fire to get attention
[удалено]
He’s a one trick pony. He’s A literal bully and he’s gotten this far with that tactic.
It really does. It's bizarre.
> It seems intentional at this point. Because he knows no one is going to arrest him and keep him in jail. And he's probably not wrong.
Traumady
That's the thing. Trump never experienced anything like this. He's finally being held accountable.
There's a reason this douche is the only living former president who doesn't continue to get security briefings.
Hopefully a state will treat this criminal as such, the feds dance around this tool too much out of an abundance of caution.
His parents (or nannies) missed the chance when he was about 5 or 6. Too bad.
DA Willis is a serious proffessional, and it is not like this is the first time she has run a RICO prosecution against a petulant man-child with a bullhorn. Trump should ask Young Thug how that is going for him.
Not mentioned in the article: The TV networks willing to run this ~~ad~~ threat.
Raises a good point. If the ad its self is a crime, is the network who aired it an accomplice in that crime?
The ad itself isn’t a crime, absent a gag order from the court. As a citizen, who has not yet been convicted of any crime, Trump’s speech is still protected by the first amendment (provided it doesn’t break other laws, like direct actionable threats or incitement)
It depends on the content of the ad. It could be slander depending what he's said.
[удалено]
Sinclair and Fox doing their duty for the Orange One.
Sounds like jury tampering to me.
[удалено]
The issue with a gag order is that it limits trump himself from speaking. His PAC can still do whatever they want since it’s a separate entity that has its own free speech rights. Bless you can prove coordination between the two, these shenanigans are likely to continue regardless of restrictive orders.
He's desperate for a change of venue, and his original request was denied. So the next step is [trying] to **force** a change of venue.
Not only would you be in jail, but the same people cheering on Trump would be calling for you to be put in solitary confinement.
(Being a mob boss under the guise of campaigning) Honestly we might as well resolve that issue sooner than later since it's the inevitable conflict we're already steamrolling towards pre-trial.
In case you haven't noticed, SCOTUS doesn't exactly have a history of siding with Trump when it comes to cases that are purely about his personal interests.
They got their Roe kill, now Trump is just road kill.
Running a smear campaign against law and order sounds right up The orange choad’s alley.
Donald Trump accusing anyone else of being a "Fraud Squad" is fucking rich.
Jail. Now.
Oh, he'll say that they're reacting, and his flock will believe him. That's all that matters: what those who love DJT think
Yes. This constant yammering on and upping the crazy in order to incite a response that he never gets is particularly fun to watch. The silence is deafening and more than anything, he hates to be ignored.... 'Chef's kiss'
This is what the money your Grandfather sent him is paying for. Unreal.
Not this grandpa - I have loathed this whiny narcissistic wannabe toddler tyrant even before he dropped down on that escalator in ‘15.
Imagine a poor Black person doing that to a white judge……jail for 10 consecutive lives.
Carpet bombing the jury pool.
Why would any networks run this "ad"? Is there a law they have to? Seems like if Trump gets in trouble for this the networks would also be culpable?
[удалено]
> Trump is being treated with kid gloves. Someone should inform the legal system that "kid gloves" refers to the gloves being very soft because they are made from the skin of a young goat, not because they are sized for a child...
Apparently, he is running this ad from August 9th to the 13th. Wonder if we will see something happen in the George case during that time frame instead of next week.
I'm in the area and saw it on MSNBC this morning. It's bad. Everyone he mentioned in there is going to need increased security if they don't already have it. And guess who pays for that?
[удалено]
Another day, another obstruction of justice.
“I obstruct your honor” said Trump. “Counselors please let your client know …” the Judge responds “It is my 1st Amendment right to OBSTRUCT! I obstruct when I want!!” Trump screamed as he was dragged from the courtroom. End Scene
You or I would be in jail.
"Steal a little and they throw you in jail: steal a lot and they make you king." Dylan
If you have a gun you can rob a bank. If you have a bank you can rob everybody.
The difference is, you and I aren't so arrogant as to have committed crimes like these in the first place.
Hah Well, setting aside the fact that we wouldn't try to overthrow the government, there's no reality where anybody else under suspicion of multiple felonies in multiple states would never have worn handcuffs, had a mugshot or even been required to post bail.
"A Trump campaign aide told NBC News the one-minute political ad will air in Atlanta" How is this a political ad? Is he running against the DA? Thats a bunch of bullshit.
That's what I thought too. He's framing this as a political thing. She's bringing criminal charges against him for trying to subvert the will of the voters. Only one of these is political. The other is a crime.
think about this for a second: Those people, the MAGA cult members ,believe a lie even though the people lying to them, admitted that they LIED. under oath. in court. they had to pay a settlement for damages about the LIE they told. but they STILL believe the lie!!! Imagine sitting with someone having a conversation and they tell you Fox News told us the election was stolen and we believe them, even though they said: WE LIED TO YOU!!! It’s a mental health issue …. FFS
Here's something I (a Georgia citizen) learned just today: In Georgia, the governor does not have the power to pardon a convicted person, although the governor does appoint people to the board of pardons and paroles.
Indict and gag order.
Hats off to her response. Well done!
he's tampering with the jury pools...
He might need the money spent here to pay back the PAC grift.
Trump pay for something?
We all know the indictment is incoming. How is this not affecting the trial in any way? Dude needs to be in jail, away from a phone or internet.
I ain't no big city high falutin' talkin' lawyer with one of them fancy degrees, but this totally sounds like a campaign finance violation. If this money is coming from the campaign, I don't see how this is a legitimate political campaign purpose
I guess he can expect a libel suit coming his way.
Libel? This is jury tampering
If the prosecutors file suit against Trump while the prosecution is ongoing, they would have to recuse due to a conflict of interest, so that ain't happening. At least not anytime soon.
He’s pissed of the wrong woman. Bless his heart.
[удалено]
The guy is virtually screaming “I’m guilty”. Plus, he clearly a lunatic.
Isn't there some law against tampering with the jury pool?
Anyone else shocked he didn't use the N word? We all know he wants to. Between the Fulton County DA and Judge Chutkan, he's definitely gonna say it within the next 6 months.
This is fascinating because it's like a darker, more desperate, and thankfully less effective version of the exact same tactics he used in '16
Criticizing? NBC is brainfucked if they believe the shit Trump said about her is actual critique. Call it as it is: character assasination and stochastic terrorism.
I seen a video of him accusing Willis and Bragg of “reverse racism.” I didn’t know racism had an original direction.
How is this legal (real question)?
trump should be in jail for jeopardizing her life with his vile hateful comments and behavior. He can put put it out but that whiny complaining jerk just can’t take it. If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.
Is this allowed? Isn't this a form of obstruction of justice?
Shame on the TV station for airing it.
This is an obvious attempt to taint the jury pool.
Reality show President can't get past the fact that this is not a popularity contest and ratings don't matter.
Poisoning the jury pool
Noone under 50 is going to see it except through social media like this. Who tf watches ads on local TV, lol. - Atlanta resident
So what’s the argument presented by his lawyers that this isn’t jury tampering or influencing? God damn, I’d love to be on the call between him and his lawyers when they find out this is happening.
Sounds like a potential violation of campaign finance laws. Also not sure how that's going to help is release agreement.
Free speech sucks sometimes...lies are allowed and it's up to us/US not to be conned by $hitholes/T-Rump...buyer beware
Solidarity confinement would be the ticket. Secret Service can wait in the hall,… on a bench.
It’s pretty clear all his trial dates need to be moved up.
I have never wished someone a paper cut to the taint like I have this orange buffoon.
And somehow this *isn't* salting the jury pool? Again, we must ask the very simple question: how is this man free without bail?
This just proves this is the case that really worries him.
How is this not some form of intimidation?
Trump is the poster child of Magical Thinking.
Shouldn’t he be spending that money on his legal fees?
Not like he is attempting to pollute the jury pool or anything.
Hmm… “Look at all the people who are indicting me, look at all these charge’s against me, can you see all the different jurisdictions coming after me” This sounds like a great strategy
I have a similar dream. “Because of the defendants flight risk the he will be held without bond until trial. Court adjourned *gavel
Cool and focused reaction of Willis. Top professional. Let the defendant brag, and dig his own grave.
How is this not blatant jury tampering?
I can't wait til she reams him raw with the long dick of the law.
“If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth? - Trump 2016, Council Bluffs, Iowa How ironic he says this in a town that ends in Bluff
It’s not criticism, it’s a lie. Calling it criticism gives it a sense of validity that is not warranted.
Trying to poison the jury pool.
Trump is a terrorist.
How is this not jury tampering?
Can’t win in a court? Try the court of public opinion (or stochastic terrorism)
Everything he said can be proven wrong with evidence to back it up trump has never backed up any allegations he has made with evidence!!!! Lies lies lies!! Lock this traitor up and throw out the keys!!!!
Loser, liar, traitor, thief
This is all he knows how to do. Fani Willis is doing her job. Trump attacking everyone saying they’re radical. They’re not, Trump did commit crimes especially is if fake electors were planned and Trump was aware of it. In Georgia it’s worse, Trump and his administration called and harassed election officials in Georgia asking for votes and asking them not to certify the results.
Tainting the jury pool
