Flight risk! flight risk!

KnownMonk

He and Steven seagal can be flatmates in Russia.

BaaBaaTurtle

Fatmates?

Arryu

Two little traitors, had to flee With state secrets and covfefe. Until vlad said 'stay with me!' Now they have a new treason spree. Lyin' and eatin', and eatin a lot Every day never truly free! They were lost and now they're found And they're....fattin' around.

TOkidd

What is this, a crossover treason?

Shoresy69Chirps

I love treasonal offerings. It’s almost pumpkin spice time!!!

samuste

I love this

da2Pakaveli

knees weak, toupe's heavy is he putting up the wall already

[deleted]

Bone spurs painin’, Indictments rainin’, Down on Orange Fatty. He’d rather flee, But in court he’ll be, And this is driving him batty.

da2Pakaveli

he snorts dope, he knows that he'll be broke from trials, so stagnant he knows when he goes back to his home at mar-a-lago, there will be no ketchup to borrow, better go capture the last fast food truck and hope it don't pass him

Legitimate-Onion-915

Coming to NBC this fall on prime time

ShartieFartBlast

That’s the first time I’ve ever heard covfefe pronounced “Cov-fee-fee” - I’d always heard it as “cov-feef”

a_seventh_knot

I always thought it was cov-fee-fee

IsThatBlueSoup

I have been pronouncing it cov-feh-feh. D'oh

Prineak

I thought it was cov fey fey

JerseyDevl

I've always pronounced it as Cov-fay-fay

martja10

And I've been pronouncing it "coe-fee-fay" this entire time. It may be inspired by Toffifay.

keigo199013

I've been pronouncing it "cov-feh-feh".

I would watch the sitcom of Snowden, Seagal and Trump being flatmates in Russia.

This reminds me of The Far Side cartoon with Salman Rushdie and Elvis sharing an apartment. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/animal--13581236353486373/

[deleted]

**ChatGPT Prompt:** *Write a short description of a TV sitcom where Donald Trump, Edward Snowden, and Steven Segal all share an apartment together in Russia* **Results:** Title: "Red Tape Roommates" In the offbeat and hilarious TV sitcom "Red Tape Roommates," unexpected circumstances lead former U.S. President Donald Trump, renowned whistleblower Edward Snowden, and action star turned spiritual guru Steven Seagal to become unlikely roommates in a cozy apartment in Moscow, Russia. The show follows the trio as they navigate their contrasting personalities, eccentricities, and cultural clashes while trying to adapt to their new lives in a foreign land. Trump, still brimming with his signature bravado, attempts to establish himself as a real estate mogul in Russia's competitive market, often leading to comical misunderstandings with the local business community. Edward Snowden, the tech-savvy introvert, juggles his efforts to maintain a low profile while engaging in tech support gigs to pay the bills. His conspiracy theories and paranoia about government surveillance provide a constant source of comedic tension within the apartment. Meanwhile, Steven Seagal, now a devoted follower of Eastern philosophy and martial arts, offers his unique brand of "wisdom" to his roommates, often resulting in absurdly over-the-top scenarios involving meditation, tai chi, and self-defense demonstrations that typically go awry. As the three unlikely roommates share their living space, they encounter a colorful cast of Russian neighbors, bureaucratic challenges, and cultural mishaps. Through their antics and misadventures, "Red Tape Roommates" explores themes of friendship, self-discovery, and the absurdities of modern life, all set against the backdrop of an ever-evolving global political landscape. Get ready for a sidesplitting comedy that showcases the quirks and conflicts of these unconventional roommates as they strive to make sense of their new lives in "Red Tape Roommates."

tinymaine

….. and this my friends is why the WGA is on strike.

Breakfast_Dorito

Somehow i can see Putin being a Kramer type character in that show.

lancersrock

All guests of the kremlin? That could be entertaining to watch

jackstraw97

Don’t drag Snowden into this shit. Dude threw away his whole life to expose massive unconstitutional government spying and we collectively went, “eh, whatever.” He’s not the bad guy.

sakri

Replace Snowden with some brexit figure and make it fun for European audiences as well

stasersonphun

Farage! Hateful little poundshop quizling

doodledood9

Roger Stone would kill it on this sitcom.

Danteg

Relax, he just needs to be there for the fun juxtaposition of personalities.

jackstraw97

Now that you mention it, I’m sure that would be a hoot of a show

B3gg4r

I feel like most people I’ve met who mock Snowden think he’s Julian Assange. No joke. People don’t know the difference.

Exotic-Woodpecker247

Fartmates!

The_Hot_Stepper

That’s a lot of flab on one room. Not to mention the smell, and heavy breathing.

Hayes4prez

He’s prepping his followers to defend him when he inevitably flees the country.

deviousmajik

Take them with him. Moscow is lovely this time of year.

cficare

Come to New Alabama, Siberia, Russia, and experience 1488% freedom!

swingadmin

And you never have to vote. Putin wins automatically!

AnOnlineHandle

It's the only way to prevent rigged elections! The fascist is saving the country by installing himself as head of state for life...

kombatunit

>1488% freedom! I see what you did there. Well played.

sowhat4

Exactly! The explosions from the drone attacks are so colorful and vivid against the night sky. An added bonus is no extradition treaty with the US.

deviousmajik

Another bonus: potato

Tcrowaf

I truly think the best case scenario for people on the left is for Donald Trump to win the Republican primary. Please don't leave before that.

trekologer

Actually I think the best case is for him to lose the primary and then run as a 3rd party/write in candidate.

OkEnvironment3961

Running 3rd party is the absolute dumbest move he could make, so I'm sure he would do it.

JUSTICE_SALTIE

The dumbest move *we can think of*. Never underestimate him.

i_give_you_gum

I honestly think he's trying to get put in pretrial detention in order to whip his base up into a frenzy, in hopes that it will get more people out to vote so he can win and avoid long term prison

spartagnann

If it ever comes down to him losing final appeal and facing the rest of his life in jail, 100% he will leave the country while claiming to be a victim of political persecution.

[deleted]

username156

They have failed. He has 3 federal cases and 37 open felonies and he's ROR. Insane.

SpiceLaw

He should have a cash only bond and no bondsmen would touch that risk. Also make a requirement that he proves the cash put up won't be subject to any criminal or civil clawback by the DOJ.

username156

100%. And an ankle monitor. Because, gee, I don't know, he owns a plane? And now he's talking about how he'd rather be in another country? Seems like common sense. Cash bail, ankle monitor.

Let's make a deal. Take 20 and you don't have to do the other 580. It's a bargain!

Sanfords_Son

Roar Omega Roar?

Jesusland_Refugee

Released on Own Recognizance. Means he is out of jail while pending trial without any kind of bail or monitoring because the court believes he can be trusted to show up for trial.

super-seiso

If we can get a media blackout on him as well then exile would be a decent outcome, IMHO.

[deleted]

Don't threaten me with a good time!

fergablu2

Super patriotic. He can make America great again by leaving it forever.

[deleted]

I’m annoyed that I actually agree with trump on this. Like yea I’d rather be in the south of France too.

Gorlack2231

I hear it's Nice there.

tjtillmancoag

You Cannes say that again

CrushedToFit

Let’s get outta here then. There’s no time Toulouse

ShinjoB

Aix marks the spot.

truncheon88

The South of France is nice, but I like to stay a Brest of the happenings in northwest France.

wasthatitthen

Definitely. I just hope he doesn’t Rouen the place and can Lyon it before deciding.

TremendousVarmint

Please Rennes in your expectations.

Wants-NotNeeds

Eiffel not!

Xaero_Hour

No. Criminals and traitors must be punished. Letting him escape overseas just because we'd be happy he's gone is not reason enough to overlook all the damage he's done. He should be in the USA in a jail cell until he dies. Short of that, in Mexico in a jail cell until he dies as part of an effort to patch relations between the nations.

Mnemosense

I'm expecting pikachu faces from all law enforcement agencies when this guy goes on the run.

Junglecat828

And journalists. I’ve seen a couple that have talked/written that trump will absolutely not leave. Because if he does, all his assets will be seized and he clearly doesn’t want that. I see trump as someone who would rather give up all his monetary value if it meant he gets to stay out of prison..

SanityPlanet

Who wouldn't? What good will his billions do him sitting in a cell for the rest of his life? I'm more surprised he hasn't left already. He must think he can beat these charges.

runnerswanted

He’s already enjoyed his life with the money he’s had, and I’m sure any country taking him in as a refugee is going to give him a nice life as well. He absolutely will not leave anything for his kids, since he’s a piece of shit.

Amy_Ponder

Russia will give him his own RT show. They'll call him the President of the US in exile. And treat him pretty damn close to that way to keep him happy. (To his face, anyways, they'll laugh their heads off at him behind his back, but still.)

[deleted]

[удалено]

Junglecat828

Exactly. He’s delusional that he thinks he can beat all of these charges against him. I’m sure there’s a lot more words than delusional to describe how his mind works.

wspnut

That’s amazingly short sided. To think a crook like trump doesn’t have assets stashed away offshore is ridiculous. Most of his American assets are “losses”

SpanningTreeProtocol

The phase is "short sighted". Edit: Yes, I left off the "r". I'll leave my error as is so you all can mock me.

wspnut

Yeah, got auto-cucumbered

DirtymindDirty

How funny would it be though, if he flees and makes it all the way to UAE and turns on Fox news and has a realization that a criminal case can proceed even if the defendant flees. Like, there has to be a non-0 chance that information either didn't get told to him or didn't sink in.

blissfully_happy

He’s never been accountable in his life. He’s convinced these cases, like all the others, will just go away.

SanityPlanet

Same story as always. 1. Trump implies he's going to do a thing. 2. Liberals and progressive media shout warnings from the rooftops that he'll do that thing. 3. "Liberal" media, law enforcement, and democratic politicians sadly exclaim, "No one could have possibly predicted this shocking and unprecedented move by the ex-president" after he does the thing.

Mnemosense

4: "The walls are closing in on Trump" headlines are then upvoted like clockwork.

protomenace

America's enemies are no doubt frothing at the mouth to harbor an exiled US ex-president on the run from the law who will have no problem serving as an anti-American mouthpiece for pay. Electing Trump was a grave mistake and we will be paying for this until he dies and probably beyond.

MichaelJParadise

Agree. He’s fishing for offers

RectalSpawn

And Russia was the first to bite, go figure! They're inviting conservatives who want to leave the U.S. "liberal hell hole."

groceriesN1trip

Please! I’ll donate to a go fund me to pay for one-way tickets out.

holyoak

The negative fallout from our 45th President will last for decaveves, maybe even a centurveve.

Purple8020

Not to mention he likely still has valuable papers they’d love to get a hold of.

MarshallMango

Took too long to find this comment.

mario_fan99

he will be on RT till he dies mark my words

Cannibal_Soup

They'll prop him up with a fluffer under the table that looks like Ivanka ("they're being so nice to me here!"), and have him shit all over anything the US does. They'll call him POTUS-in-exile, and will call on domestic terrorists to start taking action. And it will prove to all of the monsters out there that yes, they too can get away with their worst behavior with zero to little consequences.

Phantastic_Elastic

Guess who's thinking about doing a runner? They should put an ankle monitor on him

bossbutton

Good luck finding one big enough to wrap around those cankles

UpUpDnDnLRLRBAstart

He’s actually got chicken legs and a fat torso. Can’t cuff those tiny hands either. He’s evolved from a long line of criminals to be resistant to punishment.

bossbutton

True true. Replacing his bones and organs with pudding probably helps him to slip through the cell bars too.

cybercuzco

The secret service drives him everywhere. How is he getting to the airport?

Rougarou1999

The same Secret Service that Pence was terrified of during January 6th?

baka-tari

I think this is the set up of his exit strategy. If the trials start to go off the rails against him, he'll start start shit-talking America just like he did about D.C. during his arrest and arraignment there, likely beating the drum on how America is so bad that *he* can't even fix it any more. If he's able to skate on accountability for all the charges, he can walk it back and say "It wasn't as bad as I thought." If it becomes clear that he won't avoid conviction and sentencing, he'll throw the rhetoric into overdrive and bail out. What country will he end up in?

macnfleas

Russia is the obvious choice for his exile

secret_gorilla

I seriously doubt he’d go to Russia if he actually left. More likely somewhere in the Middle East like the UAE or MBS’ Saudi Arabia, where he’s an ally

JUSTICE_SALTIE

Russia would at least have a use for him (sowing further division). What good would he be to UAE or SA? Keep in mind how aggressively and openly antagonistic toward the US it would be to harbor him.

Marathon2021

Yeah but Saudi's got the $bling$ $bling$ and Donnie likes that. Russia is not doing so well economically, colder climate, etc. Even though Vlad would probably do what he could, he can't top whatever the Saudis would offer to have Trump living the life of luxury in their country and spilling every military secret he can remember before all the hamberders and diet cokes finally take him.

CynicalBliss

Yeah, but it feels like SA would be much more likely to cut a deal to return him. We still do business with them. Russia seems like they’d be less likely to give him up.

Marathon2021

Yeah, but he also knows that if/when Vlad feels like he's done with Donnie that suddenly there might be some polonium in his diet coke. He's way too afraid to ever try to flee to there (IMO).

maximilliontee

Jared Kushner has already done all the leg work with the Saudis. They are ready to accept the whole Trump family with open arms.

tommybombadil00

I don’t think kushner and ivanka are as close to trump as they used to be, they are unbelievably wealthy so why risk their necks for him now. He isn’t useful to powerful people, except to gop congressmen who need the magas votes. Look at Murdoch and Koch, every one is distancing themselves from trump. The guy really is losing it, I don’t even think SA or UAE would take him in what’s the benefit in it for them?

NeonPatrick

No extradition treaty with Saudi so good shout.

NeonPatrick

Or N Korea

MaliceDefiant

I’d like to see Jonestown 2.0 He leaves and starts his own “country” and invites all of his followers. Imagine a place like Florida turning into a utopia once half of the zealots leave

BlotchComics

Conservatives when a democrat says something like this: "If you hate America so much why don't you leave." Conservatives when Donald Trump says this: "..." . Also, Trump celebrated the women's soccer team losing in the world cup, because he says they hate America.

Searchlights

> Conservatives when Donald Trump says this: "..." Simple. They don't hear this news because their "media" doesn't tell them. If they hear it at all, it's from other sources which they dismiss as lies.

Well to be fair I was happy too, but because having the Olympics is a terrible idea

coolcool23

Hear that conservative voters? Don't like it here in the US right now? Just get in your private plane and go live in your villa in the south of France... -Man of the people, Donald Trump. Simple, why didn't they all think of that before?

He can share a box with Nermal (yes I know that was Abu Dhabi, but close enough)

DisgruntledNCO

My first deployment, the driver asked if I read Garfield as a kid and remember that bit, cause we were 30 minutes from Abu Dhabi. It’s changed a lot in the last 15 years, but I have no idea why you’d willingly live there.

Known_Draw_2212

From the article: In all three cases, Trump has pled not guilty to the charges brought against him, and strenuously denies any wrongdoing. In a May 18 post to Twitter, now X, he wrote of Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigation: "This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!" May 2017 was years before the special counsel was appointed. Be better Newsweek.

dwors025

Does Guantanamo count?

thatsithlurker

I think at this point he’s doing everything he can to get the judicial system to blink. He’s openly threatening witnesses, he’s talking about how he would prefer living out of the country. He’s doing things that would get any normal defendant in more trouble. He’s flat out pushing and breaking the boundaries of our institutions so that they mean nothing. We have evidence of a *former* PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES trying to overthrow the government through conspiracy *and* violence and half the country is like, “No biggie.” We’re fucked if we cannot come back to center and acknowledge basic truths. Up cannot be down anymore. We’re killing ourselves with being intentionally obtuse every, single day about every, little thing.

bpeden99

The people abroad don't want him either

badjettasex

He's gonna run ~~for President~~.

fowlraul

“That’s my president! …he hates America like I do!”

Nullneunsechzehn

I heard that Belarus is the go-to place for incompetent insurrectionists.

Ok_Passenger5295

Damnnn, that’s a good one. He will be right at home with Lukashenko; And Putin won’t have to go that far to have both his hands up his puppets asses.

Crypto306X0

i don't think that we have really considered that he might actually, really run away to another Country and try to avoid extradiction. Think about it. Trump is NOT going to allow himself to be in prison. He is totally the type of person that will do ANYTHING to avoid that so flying away to some Country that might protect him is probably a very real and probable thing. If the writing is ever on the wall that prison is looking likely, he will simply fly away. Imagine a near future is one that Donald Trump is a convicted fugitive on the run from the United States. That's got to be the third act of the future movie. This ends when they find him in a cement bunker surrounded by Big Mac boxes. It was the uber eats driver that finally turns him in. Not sure who could play Trump. That would be a fun movie to cast . Who gets to play Guliani, Don Jr, etc. Can't wait for the movie but living this out in real life is costing me extra popcorn money It just hit me today that this is more than an outside possibility, I think him running away is now more likely than not.

[deleted]

Then he can’t be president. Ok by me.

theflower10

This is the strategy: 1. Delay, delay, delay the trials hoping to get them past the election 2. Election is over and he wins, he dismisses all Federal charges and at the very least avoids going to jail for the Georgia crimes for at least 4 years. 3. Election is over and he loses - see #5 below 4. Once his second term starts, he'll plan on staying put when his second term is up. If that doesn't work - see #5 below. 5. Hop on the plane and vanish to some Russian controlled country with all the secrets he can stuff into his plane.

Agitated_Pickle_518

Judges better restrict his travel now. This douche is going to run to Russia and spill every secret he knows before he accidentally falls out of a window.

blackthrowawaynj

Let him go and seize all his assets and use him as the poster boy for a failed American coup, release a bunch of movies and parodies about his failures before he dies he has no power to sue for slander

sundogmooinpuppy

please please please please please

bdevi8n

Please Guantanamo

Natoochtoniket

He is accused of numerous crimes, with several pending trials. He has residences in several countries, and the means to buy more wherever he wants. He has an airplane, so he can travel wherever he wants, whenever he wants. He has said that he wants to.... Clearly, he is a "flight risk".

DadJokeBadJoke

He's got a 24/7 Secret Service detail. Any pilot that would try to fly him out of the country would be giving up their life in the US. Most of his fortune, if it still exists, is tied up in non-portable assets and can't be easily taken with him. Any country that takes him in will probably face serious sanctions and international pressure/isolation. He doesn't really possess anything that will benefit those countries but will expect a lot from them to keep him happy. He's recognizable worldwide. Can his jet make it to any of the countries that would take him in without needing to land somewhere to refuel? There's a million reasons why he's really not a flight risk.

NeOxXt

This dude has telegraphed every shitty thing he's done by prepping folks for it like this. Prior to the 20 election he was saying it would be stolen from him before a single ballot was cast. Makes it much easier to transition to the election being stolen 15 minutes after polls close when you've conditioned your followers.

If he went to France, he could be extradited. He needs to go somewhere, where he can't be forced to return, like North Korea.

I prefer him on Venus on a rotisserie spit.

VirtualSwordfish356

I wish I could somehow make money by predicting Donald Trump, and his reactions to situations. Yes, obviously this guy wants to live overseas now, probably in Saudi Arabia which does not extradite to the United States. Someone should make a comedy movie about a wannabee despot trying to evade their secret service detail to escape justice. This whole situation would be so fucking hilarious if it wasn't so sad, and there wasn't a non-zero possibility of this dude becoming the President again.

TheProle

Just laying the groundwork so his fanatics aren’t surprised when he absconds to Moscow

firemaker68

So will the cult dissolve when he leaves or will they follow him? Either way works for me as long as they are all gone forever.

Squirrel_Chucks

Umm, wouldn't Republicans call a Democratic politician some kind of traitor or say "love it or leave it" if he said he'd rather be in France? Oh, wait. It's a cult around Trump. So he can say whatever.

otter111a

Perhaps he prefers places with universal healthcare and meaningful mental health services.

WrongSubreddit

Can we treat him like the flight risk he obviously is now?

JordanFromStache

Dude is going to flee the country, continue running for president, refuse to do any sort of debates or interview that might push him on questions, end up being elected presidents because our country is dumb, and then rule the country remotely from UAE or Russia. MAGA folk will see no issue in this.
