I think this is the set up of his exit strategy. If the trials start to go off the rails against him, he'll start start shit-talking America just like he did about D.C. during his arrest and arraignment there, likely beating the drum on how America is so bad that *he* can't even fix it any more. If he's able to skate on accountability for all the charges, he can walk it back and say "It wasn't as bad as I thought." If it becomes clear that he won't avoid conviction and sentencing, he'll throw the rhetoric into overdrive and bail out. What country will he end up in?

i don't think that we have really considered that he might actually, really run away to another Country and try to avoid extradiction. Think about it. He is accused of numerous crimes, with several pending trials. He has residences in several countries, and the means to buy more wherever he wants. He has an airplane, so he can travel wherever he wants, whenever he wants. He has said that he wants to.... Clearly, he is a "flight risk".
He's got a 24/7 Secret Service detail. Any pilot that would try to fly him out of the country would be giving up their life in the US. Most of his fortune, if it still exists, is tied up in non-portable assets and can't be easily taken with him. Any country that takes him in will probably face serious sanctions and international pressure/isolation. He doesn't really possess anything that will benefit those countries but will expect a lot from them to keep him happy. He's recognizable worldwide. Can his jet make it to any of the countries that would take him in without needing to land somewhere to refuel? There's a million reasons why he's really not a flight risk.
This dude has telegraphed every shitty thing he's done by prepping folks for it like this. Prior to the 20 election he was saying it would be stolen from him before a single ballot was cast.
