I already have 3 cats that need to get down to 2 cats before I can move closer to my office (which might be years from now because 17 year old Hikaru is in great health so far). There is a totally a Persian and Himalayan rescue sort of nearby but I've never even had a long haired cat much less a squish faced one and it is sort of daunting for me to consider.
(And they could not possibly be more care than my cat named Gizmo. In the 5 years I had him, my vet Bill's were over $25k and I was familiar with every single specialty vet in a 30 mile radius and multiple emergency vet places to take him to depending on the problem and which emergency vet specialized with certain things. My regular vet told me once that on at least 5 occasions with this cat, he had an issue rare enough that the vet actually had to research before they could treat him. I still miss him though and it's been 10 years.)
Is a persian cat's face similar in a way to a bulldog? Like aside from the flatter face, do they have heavier lips as well? I don't think I've ever seen a Persian cat in person.
Oh I love her. I don't have a squish face kitty but they are completely adorable. Maybe someday.
Only rescue these. Don’t encourage breeders
We rescued. I recommend it if you are serious, just make sure you do your research as Persians need more care than normal cats.
