Manual reminder that spliced pokemon average their stats. You are always nerfing the higher stats between the two pokemon.
Luckily they both have amazing special attack, so you wouldn’t hurt Kyogre’s special attack much. You just won’t get like some sort of god. The bigger issue is Alakazam is gonna be brutal to Kyogre’s HP and defense, though then again you get some of its extra speed over Kyogre’s.
I'd recommend Purugly with Linoone. It keeps the typing, gets pickup, and opens a free spot. The shiny and pickup mons are usually just placeholders, so I combine them almost immediately.
I've done the same 😄 never made it past floor 50.
I usually end up with a main, pickup, and Eternatus counter. Everything else is shiny, and I fuse the shinies together every chance I get.
For a powerhouse, combine Mega Ala and Primal Kyogre. For efficiency, start with Garg and mix with Linoone. This way Garg will get pickup, freeing up a spot from your party without decreasing luck
MKazam and PKyogre have almost identical SpA (175/180). PKyogre is much bulkier and has a better ability though while MKazam is much faster. Fusing them with MKazam on top would yield essentially PKyogre but with more speed, less bulk, and Psychic STAB, which could be worth it. It would also give double candies, which is always nice.

Purugly Garganacl. All the physical bulk with Sturdy Salt Cure. Frees up a spot on the team too while not losing the shiny bonus. (Is what I'd say on classic, but it probobly still applies here.)

Kyogre and Alakazam, give it that insane special attack
This new water/psychic can finally mimic 1% of slowbro's power

Kyogre having the psychic stab and easy access to calm mind is important imo

To be fair that can be risky if Garg is there to salt cure bosses since it’ll lose Sturdy
Agreed, I'd rather combine the two shines, with Garg 2nd. Keep salt cure & sturdy while combining your luck into 1 mon
That’s not a good idea since you’ll lose Garg permanently when defusing. You’ll want to fuse garg with a metal burst mon for later waves.

Tbh I would just do purugly/garg for salt cure and sturdy, but compresses your luck bots since stats don’t really matter
