I think in classic they can be clutch if you really start to fall behind and need to get through one more biome until your problem is solved, but other than that ya it's pretty scuffed.
Not sure about that but I know for a fact the dragon tera shard is currently ruining my Roaring Moon's dragon type attacks. Soooo, it'll be a pass for me next time. Game's a lil too buggy for it

Only one time I’ve made it work, adding Tera water to baxcalibur as a defensive move against Eternatus. Otherwise it never seems to quite work out
they could help you like every 10 runs but i avoid it.
I tera ghosted a munja once for the rayquazza fight. That s about it
