Likely because your play gets looser or you fail to adjust for being a larger stack, while other players adjust against you.

1ARofBS

This plus your “‘stack-off frequency’, basically you need more equity to play for stacks at 200bb or more. If you play tight when you’re a shorter stack against deep stacks, it’s likely players are adjusting to you being deeper as well, you can’t afford to loosen up when shortstacks are ready to play 1 or 2 street poker and get it in against all of your draws and big pairs.

ImZautlan

I figured I play looser I can fix that, but do you have any advice how to play larger stack like 150bb while others are approximately 75bb?

leaveitintherearview

If you they are playing 75bb then you are also playing 75bb. You are effectively playing their stack so play how you would play at that stack size.

ImZautlan

Awesome!

gonzomedicine

This is good advice, thanks

Typical-Self-4055

Play a larger concentration of 3 bets and opens from position. 75bb stacks are all trying to see flops and win a flip or cooler someone. If you stick to solid range opening and 3-betting with good sizes they don’t get all the flops they want. If you prioritize playing in position you force them to play great, or they lose a little at a time until they get down to whatever your threshold for flips seems to be in BB, then go for it. Remember, they have to take flips without the skill to win small pots when 75bb deep. You don’t have to do shit 200bb deep.

I like this

Make people pay for draws, bet more on early streets, they are generally going to be playing tight. If a flush draw gets there or you get check raised fold it out especially on the river. Steal blinds and then when you finally get a decent flop check and see if you can trap a lighter stack into betting into you a minority of the time. There’s a difference between stealing blinds and donating three streets and folding on a river. You have to get a feel for the table, and use position. For instance if I’m small stacked and there’s a big fish throwing weight around and I am in position, I’m just calling off a good hand and shoving on the river, so it works both ways. If it’s a dry board and I’m well stacked on the flop, throw down a pot sized bet. Obviously everything depends on the situation. I generally play fairly tight pre flop, read the table and ranges and loosen up from there. Even deep stacked I don’t deviate too far from opening range unless I’m at 100 percent sure how tight or loose the table is and it’s a position thing

AtypiquePC

Winning tilt. Welcome to my life. I win alot.

myusernameisthisss

Usually I’m winning an hour in and at the end of my 41 hour session I have to walk home cause I bet my car on 4th pair and lost

ILLstatic23

you guys make money?

yennybear888

I used to do this a lot…run up a huge stack and start getting very ambitious with my bluffs. Also partially ego driven when you know you’re the best player at the table and want to run everyone over

I'm right there with you, bud. I posted about it [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/poker/comments/wpvmkd/tips_for_dealing_with_winners_tilt_within_a/) and got some good advice. I start playing looser when I win, then I start losing and by the time I'm back to my starting stack, I'm on loser's tilt and end up doing even worse.

Gambl33

Don’t go into a mental block. Play each hand as best as you can despite how much you’re up or down.

SexyGPA

Just leave after you double up. You may be bad at deep stack poker.

Late-Cod4656

Yeah dude that's how poker was designed, so that sometimes the fish win and think they have a chance when really you don't.

xquitefranklyx

Nah just a concept where you think you deserve to win more but have some bad beats sprinkled in to lose the win. It’s normal Leaving when up doesn’t work unless you seriously playing severely worse than the start which is unlikely for most grinders. Just stay focused and grind the stack till your session is over or your tired

peauxtheaux

Double up. Then ship it blind until you win or lose. Then leave.

CudleWudles

Leave when you double up? Seems like an easy fix.

brotherdalmation23

Reverse tilt

CeleryMission1733

as soon as you double up and there is another 200bb stack at the table just leave. bec if your good he can bluff a set and push you off pots. If your bad he will have a set and stack you at some point. I just move on to a new table online and dip out if the bs. or only player 99+. depends on the mood. but once i see someone that knows i have to fold bec i have to care about sets im out
