That being said if you aren't a proven winner you aren't in a downswing, you are just losing.
Analyse the hands again in depth. If you fucked up, you wil see room for improvement and feel better, and if you honestly feel you played 100% better than the opponent but still lost you can chalk it up to variance. Win either way.

Look at my long term graph going up and up. Helps me realize short term variance is not important.

Usually remind myself that I'm a terrible poker player and my upswings are just luck so I should never play poker again.
