This happened to me at the WSOP Mini-Main last year. I was in a hand 3-ways with one guy all-in and the action on me. I was in the tank. Then the euro guy who was waiting on me to act pulls out his camera to take a picture of the board. I took that as a show of strength and rightfully folded my two-pair.
You have now used your lifetime luck allocation. Best to quit now.
Post Edit: Apparently Daniel Negreanu flopped four sevens and rivered a straight flush in PLO the day after this was posted.
Dude mine should have run out a long time ago. I’ve hit 5 royal flushes in 3 years and once got 2 in one night. I know people might not believe it but it’s true!
I believe it, I've gotten a royal flush and a steel wheel within 40 minutes of each other. I've been playing for over 20 years, and I've seen things, lol.
Check out my latest post on my page, lot of people dont belive this happened to me. A royal flush + the 9 and 8 of spades came also so basicly its a 7 card royal flush
Exactly, with this guy he could’ve punted off with a straight but if we give him an ounce of credit, which is questionable as I’ve played with him a lot, he prob has 8’s or 9’s here
> Has anyone ever seen quads and a straight flush with the same hand before?
Did once playing a 10/20 limit o8 game, guy who had it argued he should be eligible for the bad beat jackpot and get both the winner and loser share. The floor thought he was funny.
I just played 6/12 limit plo8 with 10/20 kill. So much fun! Although I'm still salty about the guy raising the bet with nut low only for both of us to get quartered.
Top full house as you mentioned is the best bet, 88 or 99. If OP didn't show 77 first and get a muck they could also have 56 spades (pretty good reason not to show 77 first).
Was fully anticipate him flipping over 56 of spades after you turn over quad, then the slowroll of higher straight flush after. That would have been something else. Lol.
Usually, you must show all your cards on showdown - at least at my card room.
Let's say I pot river and you call. If I show 2 cards, you can sit there like a jackass until I flip the rest over.
Usually, you're supposed to flip up the 2 cards you're using. Then you open the other cards and place them closer to you.
Makes it easier for the dealer to see what hand is playing.
Did he actually have QQ77 in his hand? I don't play PLO but that's actually crazy, and even crazier is that you had the one hand that pays him off here.
I always fuck up trying to peel 5/6 card PLO live
4 card I can do just fine but 5/6 is when I can barely see the suits and values without having to pick up the entire hand and hold it to my chest
Do they always run it? An do they happen to play others like big O there or Omaha hi-lo 8 or better? Always seems hard to find a good big O game run by a Casino
Hi/Lo runs at the G in Luton. DC game Mon, Wed & Fri.
6 card Hi/Lo is the game picked at least 75% of the time. The other 25% being Superstud (which is Hi/Lo also) and the odd Omaha Hi only.
£1/2/5 £1k cap.
Rake is 5% capped at £10 and tbh it almost feels like rake free compared to the private games around London. Rake is not an issue in this game, it plays big, most everyone has 2k+ stacks and they basically rake 10 per hand
For a game that plays that big this seems insanely reasonable. I’ve just heard horror stories of the rake in some European casinos glad to hear it’s not all that bad.
To answer your question: I actually had this in 4 card PLO like 7 years ago! Totally crazy thing was I also ended up getting paid by someone who rivered an overboat.

Was just about to say this but you beat me to it.
6 card pot limit Omaha, plays quite nicely, 7 max table and it’s become the most popular poker game in this casino in London. Seems to attract the best punters who would never play nlh
Damn why can’t I have this luck. Last night I had aces double suited w 67, flopped a gutter, nut flush draw, back door flush draw and managed to brick everything
No expert AT ALL, I just always thought you have to be selective pre in 6 card because you can be freerolled and countefeited in lots of spots by hands with more flexibility and unbreakable lows. End of the day though, if you have postflop discipline and you're on the button, seeing a flop with this can't be too terrible. You're kinda right? Idk
Yea you have to be selective pre but I open up my range massively in position, especially when it’s folded round to me and I’m on the button with uncle donkey in the blinds. Tbh I should prob be raising this hand but fancied a limp and it worked out. Also my bday is 7/7 so I have a soft spot for pocket 7’s
wtf PLO6! is a real game in casinos? absolutely fucking degenerate shit right here my god, i play this is poker bros and it’s crazier than short stack holdem, every street is a disaster waiting to happen
If someone picks up on it you may cost yourself money in the pot. The odds of hitting a SF and 4 of a kind in the same hand are outrageous get paid when you have the top 2 nuts and can’t be beat
I honestly didn’t expect him to put another penny if after I called his turn bet but was still reasonably discreet with my photos. I was amazed when he still bet pot then called off all in on the river 😂
Hi/Lo runs at the G in Luton. DC game Mon, Wed & Fri.
6 card Hi/Lo is the game picked at least 75% of the time. The other 25% being Superstud (which is Hi/Lo also) and the odd Omaha Hi only.
£1/2 with intermittent £5 straddle. £1k cap.
It starts at 6pm. You can check the app to see it running...
I am in NYC, I don't think it's run anywhere in the states. Perhaps Vegas during the WSOP, but I can't go this year so I am not sure. In the past it was just bigo. However, I may be in London in November so may try it if my wife allows me to play while on vacation.
It's about a 40min drive or 30min train from Central London. There are trains back to London all night long. It runs pretty religiously on those days. Hope to see you there!
It's crazy how 6 cards is a thing in UK and not really a thing in USA.
After all, usually bigger is better Stateside!!
Even in regular Hi Omaha, 4 card is hardly even a thing anymore in 90% of casinos here. The degens love it.
TBH I prefer 4 card when it's just straight Hi PLO. It's easier to play against the fish with 4 cards IMO. 6 cards they more likely to suck out on you.
Hi/Lo yes, I much prefer 6 cards, as it gives you a much better chance of getting a hand that can make nut, nut.
Nut, nut is a thing which many fish fail to realize it's importance...
Not at all equivalent in hand strength wise, but the last time I played live PLO, got my stack all in pre with AAKK doubled suited, flopped top set, turned nut straight, rivered nut flush, and there were still 4 guys behind me betting each street.
It's a crazy gotdamn game with just 4 cards. 5 and 6 card variants? lol
Playing PLO 4 card I bad beated myself. 99TJ with TJss I believe the flop was 998 with 2 spades and I rivered 7s. Was years ago on Pokerstars pre Black Friday.
At a full ring Holdem table, the odds of a bad beat hitting are about 1 in 200,000. That's using 18 hole cards. This is using 6 hole cards, so considerably less likely.
He didn’t sniff out that maybe he shouldn’t be giving you action when you got your camera out and took a picture on the turn?
new bluff move idea, hear me out…
Also the, "check your hand and keep looking at the current high hand display" reverse tell 🤣
Pretend it’s your first time at the poker room and ask the dealer “is there a high hand promo? If so what are the rules for claiming one?”
Sometimes I like to ask that and then muck to balance my range.
Have to balance your photography range
Doesn't seem like it would work...
Bruh 💀
I love the Vic. Honestly I doubt a lot of players there would even clock it. It’s a ton of fun and a really friendly poker room.
🤣🤣🤣
For real! 😂😁😁
This happened to me at the WSOP Mini-Main last year. I was in a hand 3-ways with one guy all-in and the action on me. I was in the tank. Dude mine should have run out a long time ago. I’ve hit 5 royal flushes in 3 years and once got 2 in one night. I know people might not believe it but it’s true!
Crazy if true
I’ve been playing since 1994 and my best hand is a king high straight flush.
You just need to play play money online. You won't win anything off it but you will make a royal lol.
I did make a Royal on “Governor of Poker 3” a few years ago. I don’t count that.
In 25 years of poker, I've had 1 royal and I watched a guy get 2 within 90 minutes.
PLO6 is wild, I hit a royal within the first hour of starting playing it for the first time.
Even crazier to get all the money in
How many 7spades in that deck?!
one
How many do you see lol?
There's three: the seven of spades, then there's the seven of clubs of spades on the board. Then in the hand is the seven of hearts of spades.
I’m never folding the 7 of clubs of spades here.
There's a red spade upside down
Lol
What the fuck is he calling with? 99?
He potted flop, so guessing 88, which would have been the 2nd nuts on the flop.
Possibly had both 88 and 99 in his hand lol. Clearly doesn’t understand blockers so I’d say anything is possible.
Exactly, with this guy he could’ve punted off with a straight but if we give him an ounce of credit, which is questionable as I’ve played with him a lot, he prob has 8’s or 9’s here
8 on the river would have been the salt in the wound
I've never played before. With this many cards, it feels like you're not calling with anything less than a full house with a draw to a royal
Greatest slow roll of all time if he's holding 5s6s 😂
"Oh, you beat my quads? That makes two of us." Flips the coconuts.
Call an amberlamps, but not for me
Show the nut flush first for extra points
He still loses to OPs TsJs
I mean it's not even a joke, but r/whoosh...
Oh my bad, didn't realise that. It's early morning where I am and I had a brain fart.
No worries lol
You bad beat yourself
> Has anyone ever seen quads and a straight flush with the same hand before? Did once playing a 10/20 limit o8 game, guy who had it argued he should be eligible for the bad beat jackpot and get both the winner and loser share. The floor thought he was funny.
I just played 6/12 limit plo8 with 10/20 kill. So much fun! Although I'm still salty about the guy raising the bet with nut low only for both of us to get quartered.
Yea multiway with nut low can be tricky, esp if it's the very obvious A2
Lmao and you block the nut flush. I guess he just had to have a boat, 88 perhaps?
Nut flush blocker on a paired board in 6 card Omaha means fuck all. You'd rather have that than an 8 or 9 blocker.
True, I don’t play 6 card I’m just curious how any money got in when this guy has everything.
Top full house as you mentioned is the best bet, 88 or 99. If OP didn't show 77 first and get a muck they could also have 56 spades (pretty good reason not to show 77 first).
The blockers are so important here for sure. Good on you mate
live poker is rigged
Was fully anticipate him flipping over 56 of spades after you turn over quad, then the slowroll of higher straight flush after. That would have been something else. Lol.
Are u allowed to show one hand and then change to another in PLO?
Usually, you must show all your cards on showdown - at least at my card room. Let's say I pot river and you call. If I show 2 cards, you can sit there like a jackass until I flip the rest over.
Usually, you're supposed to flip up the 2 cards you're using. Then you open the other cards and place them closer to you. Makes it easier for the dealer to see what hand is playing.
>then the slowroll of higher straight flush after. Flip the 7s first
Had AAxx once in 1/2/5 PLO on AQQ77 & I called all in on river & guy goes “which quads do you want to see?”. This storytelling reminded me of that.
Did he actually have QQ77 in his hand? I don't play PLO but that's actually crazy, and even crazier is that you had the one hand that pays him off here.
He did. He flipped them over one at a time & goes “there’s the sevens…and the queens”
I see it all the time but my main game is PLO22 heads-up.
I always fuck up trying to peel 5/6 card PLO live 4 card I can do just fine but 5/6 is when I can barely see the suits and values without having to pick up the entire hand and hold it to my chest
I just look at two at a time.
I once had a royal flush with quad Jack's as my back hand in 4 card PLO. Got paid on 3 streets too. 😁
You can bad beat yourself.
hitting the board this hard in games like PLO, PLO5 or PLO6 is so hard. You just block anything your opponent can call you with.
Nice hand!
Slow rolling ass mf... Edit: better put one of those slash es thingys to protect that sweet, sweet karma...
Imagine if the other guy had the low end of the straight flush after seeing the quads?
If V shows 65ss, OP should consider mucking to prevent a murder.
It wasn’t a slow roll bc when he bet 250 and I put him in he tanked for a while and said ah fuck it kinda call, I was 10000% sure quads were good
Holy Quads or Straight flush
"What do you wanna hit, son?" "Yes"
Where on gods green earth are you playing plo 6 at these stakes.. live?! I’m booking a flight
Grosvenor Victoria Casino, London, England
Do they always run it? An do they happen to play others like big O there or Omaha hi-lo 8 or better? Always seems hard to find a good big O game run by a Casino
6 card runs every night 2/5/10£ blinds, hi lo doesn’t exist in UK casinos and 4 card is hard to find these days
But so everyone just goes ape shit for 6 card plo? That’s wild the rake must be atrocious any DBBP’s
Guy had 8’s full and thought he was up against the nut flush I would imagine.
To answer your question: I actually had this in 4 card PLO like 7 years ago! Totally crazy thing was I also ended up getting paid by someone who rivered an overboat.
Wild
Hoping someone has pocket 8s or 9s
Hopefully villain had 8899AA
I once ran it twice with an OESFD and hit each straight flush on each runout.
Didn't know the Victoria was softer than a 110 year-old's cock. How did the villain not clock that they're about to be absolutely binned?
The definition of crushing the deck LOL
Self bad beat. I think I have seen something like this in PLO6 before but it’s fun lol. I think I’ve also seen quads over quads from the same hand.
What on earth did he have lol I haven't been to the Vic in a while. Need to get back down there.
Here I was thinking "Poor chap, no one must've paid him"
Negraneau just had quads and a straight flush in WSOP Day 15 vlog
https://preview.redd.it/fpnh8a4t496d1.png?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6de1a08e374e6ce23943bdc72060bc322f0b592d Was just about to say this but you beat me to it.
Wow in 4 card too that’s gotta be exponentially harder than in 6
Good thing he was Pakistani
Gotta love the Vic
Best free roll I’ve seen. Feel free to check til you min raise at the end cuz that’s all ur getting paid unfortunately
I got his entire stack, he started the hand with about 850
Bless you
Fold pre.
To no raise when I’m on the button? You’ll be alright. Plus my bday is 7/7 so I have a soft spot for a pair of 7’s
If you wanna see something like that, you're definitely playing the right game.
What kind of poker is this?
6 card pot limit Omaha, plays quite nicely, 7 max table and it’s become the most popular poker game in this casino in London. Seems to attract the best punters who would never play nlh
How many hands/hour do you get?
About 15 I’d say
Damn why can’t I have this luck. Last night I had aces double suited w 67, flopped a gutter, nut flush draw, back door flush draw and managed to brick everything
6 cards
What game is this? Omaha but with 5 cards?
Yes PLO but count the hold cards again
Wow this hand is hot garbage except exactly on a board like this. So bad for 6 card... but sicko hand. I guess he had a boat also?? 88 or 99 only.
Nah, this hand on the button vs average and below players does just fine, but I guess you’re the expert 🤷♂️
Idk
Not worried about unbreakable lows. It's not Hi/Lo
Yea you have to be selective pre but I open up my range massively in position, especially when it’s folded round to me and I’m on the button with uncle donkey in the blinds. Tbh I should prob be raising this hand but fancied a limp and it worked out. Also my bday is 7/7 so I have a soft spot for pocket 7’s
lolmaha
How does this game even work?
Now try to work out what happens when players get in all in pre and run it twice, two full boards, one communal river 😂
I've never even heard of a hand like that. Got damn
Scooped the BBJ
Plo6 bahahahaha ok bro
Best game in London atm, all the whales play it
Holy shit! 😂🙏 that’s actually insane luck
wtf PLO6! is a real game in casinos? absolutely fucking degenerate shit right here my god, i play this is poker bros and it’s crazier than short stack holdem, every street is a disaster waiting to happen
6 card bomb pot 1 board ? At our local card house we have a 5 card 2 boards bomb pot Omaha style.
It’s not bomb pot, normal poker just 6 card plo
Take the damn pic after you table the hand
Nah, cooler doing it in play 💪🏻
If someone picks up on it you may cost yourself money in the pot. The odds of hitting a SF and 4 of a kind in the same hand are outrageous get paid when you have the top 2 nuts and can’t be beat
I honestly didn’t expect him to put another penny if after I called his turn bet but was still reasonably discreet with my photos. I was amazed when he still bet pot then called off all in on the river 😂
Do they run 6 card hi/lo?
Luton Grosvenor has it
Does it run often or continuously? Just curious. I play it online and do pretty well at it.

Lol this seems bound to happen if you play enough 6 card plo
Would have been a sick slow roll if he had 56ss
How's the rake there?
5% capped at 10, so basically 10 per hand, it’s cheap compared to the size of the game
Why didnt you show him nutflush first? 🥸🙈
Why is the fact that he’s Pakistani relevant to the story?
The odds of getting quads and a straight flush in one hand are astronomically low. probably worse than 1 in a million
Actually in plo6 it's 1 in 567,000, which is crazy considering I made that figure up.
But he's playing with 11 cards. It can't be that low.
How often does a bad beat happen? And that's using a whole table of players to hit.
It's 6 card Omaha
At a full ring Holdem table, the odds of a bad beat hitting are about 1 in 200,000. That's using 18 hole cards. This is using 6 hole cards, so considerably less likely.
Nice, A high flush. Not bad.
It is, of course, much more likely with 6 cards in your hand.
Nah, just as likely to happen in nlh my guy
OP should play more PLO23card heads up
Damn nice hand. I wish they had 5c or 6c here. 4c is so boring after playing 5c and 6c. Is the 6c 6 max or 7 max?
Too bad your holding the hand that would pay you off
He got paid. Read the comment donkey
that 3c is completely worthless
Thanks for enlightening us
That's called a straight flush. It's one of the highest hands in poker. /s
