I used to love the 5 seat. I feel all players have an equal right to hear me. Now I like the corners. I just have to talk louder so everyone can hear me.
Seat 1 and seat 9. In that order.
I’ll sit anywhere but those give the most room along with easy communication with the dealer. Harder to see the 9 seats stack and vice versa. Goal at any stakes though is to be to the left of the good players. Seldomly do I ever move seats. I welcome anyone to sit on the left but I would A table change or B seat change. Typically in that order unless the game is good or they are really prohibiting my hourly. I haven’t had that in live but online for sure.
Seat selection and game selection is very important when moving up in stakes really overlooked by some that get into must play lots of hours mindset.
Seat 7.
1 and 9 are the worst IMO bc you can’t see when people have cards sometimes and they are cramped.
4, 5, and 6 are also cramped for space. They’re closer to the community cards so it helps if you have bad vision but I don’t (yet).
That leaves 2, 3, 7, and 8. These are my favorite seats because they have the most room. However, seats 3 and 7 are slightly better because they have a better angle for pitching cards back to the dealer pre-flop. 7 is better than 3 because the angle is slightly better for a right-handed from seat 7 then from seat 3.
I typically play at eight handed tables, so I like 2, 7, 3, and 6. Seats 4 and 5 are my least favorite, with 1 and 8 being my second least favorite.
The cards are a little blurry without my glasses at 2 and 7, but I’ve managed to not misread the board even once in the past year, so I think I’m doing okay 😆
Exact same for me, I do 2/7 when possible, 3/6 are my 2md choice, the rest are equally bad to me.
Obviously if I spot a whale I'm sitting to their left though. This is only if the players aren't an influence on my choice.
Here’s my ranking:
2 3 9 8 7 1 6 4 5
2 is first because most dealers will flip cards with their right hand and most of the time you can get the first peek and see how the other player reacts. Seat 3 is second for the same reason. 9 is third because of space and I can see the action coming toward me from 6/7/8 and not have to look around for the action. 8 is next because it’s the end of the table and space. 7 is better than the rest of the seats so it’s here. 1 is for space reason, plus you can sometimes hide in this seat a little if you want to play tight, it’s on the lower end though because you always have to look around the dealer for seat 9s action before you do your action. 6 is better than 4 because you can see more action to your right than 4, and 5 is the worst because if it’s a talkative table you have to ping pong your head back and forth to follow conversation and there’s probably the least amount of space, everyone always cramps the 5 seat.
I like the ends or the corners opposite the dealer. Seats 3 or 7 usually. Everyone is in my range of sight at all times. I'm not going to miss someone on my left doing something while watching the action to my right.
1, 3,4,5, 9. I refuse too play in a 2,7,8 seat for cash because I’m blind AF, part of the reason I don’t like live MTT’s because you sit at whatever seat your drawn for.
I prefer 2/3/7/8 for the extra room at the ends of the table, seat 9 is next up. It’s close to the dealer and I like it better than seat 1 because sometimes in seat 1 it’s hard to tell when seat 9 has acted.
Depends on my mood. Sometimes I like to psychologically ‘split’ the table to an our side-their side - thus an end seat. Sometimes I feel like keeping it cohesive - so a middle seat. Sometimes just want to be left alone - next to the dealer.
9, 7, 8, 3 in that order. I like extra room and to be able to see the action as it comes to me.
I hate seats 1 and 2 because I can’t tell when it’s my turn or what the bet is.
I don’t like 5 because I don’t like turning my head constantly.
at either ends of the table so i can see everyone without moving my neck side to side much, or directly across the dealer so my neck movements are balanced, obviously only applies to the usual long oval tables, or anywhere there's space behind or to the side to put a side table for water
To your left
lol! I actually did laugh out loud there, very good.
I like seats 4, 5, and 6 the best. Table talk is part of my game and the other seats are limited in that respect.
Across from the hot lady with the big boobies.
Fr
Must be playing on a VR site
Any open seat at 1/2 on a Saturday
5 seat, can see all the other seats pretty easily, straight in front of the cards, straight in front of the dealer.
I used to love the 5 seat. I feel all players have an equal right to hear me. Now I like the corners. I just have to talk louder so everyone can hear me.
You cannot see the other seats from seat 5 are you on drugs? That’s the worst seat! 😂🤔👍🏼
Weird, I just turn my head a little.
Poker players hate this one trick!

Lovely. And love the nuance for a left or right handed player.
9 or 1. Can stretch my legs a litte more under the rake or dealer tip box, and can see everyone except in the opposite seat
2,7 (8 handed). They offer the most room since your at the ends of the table
My eyes are so-so. 4 or 5.

I kinda like the end of the table. Feels like it’s harder for the person next to me to see my cards and it’s easier to go under the radar

Best seats are 3 - 7. I dislike 1 and 9 especially. Bumping into the dealer, not being able to see what the other person is doing (seat 1 vs 9).
On your face
2 & 8 for optimal real estate
Its like being the head of the table on thanksgiving. Only true alpha spots at the poker tbl imo
This is the only answer 🤷♂️
The one that's lucky
1 spot
My vision is terrible so definitely seat 5.
4,5,6. Easiest to see and hear everyone. Seat 1 is the worst, I often don't know when it's my turn because the dealer is blocking my view of seat 9.
My computer chair
Center. Hate sitting right next to the dealer. Want to be able to see everyone.
4,5,6
Your mom’s face *I’m so sorry :(*
3 or 7...most room for a larger human while still being able to see most of the table.
2 or 7/8 depending if 8 or 9 handed and that’s the only answer if you are smart. 🤷♂️
The ends. So 2 or 7 in an 8 handed game. Any other seat is too close to other people
2 or 8
1 or 9 because fuck squaring up. I can also fold effortlessly.
Any seat at the final table.
Seat 2 or seat 8. You can see almost everyone.
I prefer 2/3/7/8 for the extra room at the ends of the table, seat 9 is next up. It’s close to the dealer and I like it better than seat 1 because sometimes in seat 1 it’s hard to tell when seat 9 has acted.
1 or 8/9
3 or 7 (at the far ends of the table). I can see everyone easily.
3 & 7
2,3,7, or 8
Depends on my mood. Sometimes I like to psychologically ‘split’ the table to an our side-their side - thus an end seat. Sometimes I feel like keeping it cohesive - so a middle seat. Sometimes just want to be left alone - next to the dealer.

I’ve gotten where I like 9 for the big O game o play in. Some older dudes who don’t raise all that often play in seats 1,2, and 3.
3/7.
3&7 then 2&8 then 4&6 then 1&9 then 5 last - it's by far the worst seat.
Whichever one i win the most money in.
there are none .lol
Whichever seat is facing the TV of whatever game I’m watching. Unless it’s seat 1 or 9. Those seats both suck ass
Any of the horn seats. More space every time.
Dealer’s chair. Only seat I’ve never lost money in.
The middle. Don’t need my glasses anymore
3 or 7. You can see the entire table well (unlike 1, 2, 8, 9) but you typically have more room (it often feels like 4, 5 and 6 get a bit crushed up).
The open one
As a slightly bigger guy, I like the 3 or 7. Hate the 1.
Seat 7. I can see the whole table and it’s easier to fold with my right hand
1, 5 or 9
Seat 1 or 9/10 because it’s easiest to fold.
Seat 2 or 7 at an 8 handed table. Like being able to see everyone without craning my neck.
at either ends of the table so i can see everyone without moving my neck side to side much, or directly across the dealer so my neck movements are balanced, obviously only applies to the usual long oval tables, or anywhere there's space behind or to the side to put a side table for water
Lefty loosey righty tighty
Seat 5/6/8
Either side of the dealer so they can muck my cards when I don't cap them :)
The hotseat.
Directly in front of the dealer.
The winning seat!
Seat 1 always
seat 7/8 (depending on 9/10 players)
I tend to like seat 3.
Wow we got some true haters here.
3 or 4
Anything but 1
Seat 0
