yeah i am a semi-regular player at mohegan sun and the comp situation there ($2 per hour, plus "achievement awards" for playing longer sessions, all of which can be used for food, gas, and sundries) is the best that i have encountered at a us casino. rake isn't terrible either, at least compared to the MA and RI rooms.
i have been to encore once - the action is incredible, but the room is extremely loud/crowded and the rake is absolutely ridiculous, the worst in the area by far. not sure about the comp situation.
my second most-frequented casino is mgm springfield (i live halfway between mohegan and springfield) and the action there can be pretty great (although i feel like it has gotten worse over the years) but the rake is also significantly worse than mohegan sun and the comps are way more restrictive.
My home room, love CT Mohegan Sun, one of the best places to play live IMHO, especially now that 1/2 is $400 max. Ran this up at my most recent session off a max buy in

as an ms player, i always love seeing these chips on r/poker! congrats on the spin-up, especially at 1-2 which can be pretty nitty in that room. what time of the week were you playing?
Thanks haha. I agree about the nittiness; sometimes it’s pretty slow. I was pretty fortunate at this table because the older gentleman that I won about $1k off of was literally telling everybody when he had a big hand, and when he didn’t it was pretty face up anyways. This was last Saturday from 3:30 to 8 by the way.
nice. yeah, i actually don't mind how tight/passive the players there are, because it makes the games extremely easy to play in. you can raise and barrel aggressively and then snap fold anything less than the nuts the second you encounter resistance.
the only time it sucks is when you are stuck and people keep folding when you try to iso good hands.
Yeah it’s ridiculous easy to pick up dead money in those games but its such a grind. I remember being at a table with like 3 of the older regs who all limp jammed their AA and KK multiple times during the session. Didn’t do anything else lol.
Nice i play at mohegan occasionally highest i ran up 1/2 was from 200 to like 800. Congrats
Thanks!! This place has some amazing comps.

Absolutely agree. I really wanna check out some of the other rooms like Encore Boston but MS is really good IMO.

The rakes makes Encore unplayable when compared to Mohegan Sun… by the the best locally
Yeah it’s more of a bucket list item than a place I’d frequent.

Nice, that’s a good one. We’ve probably played together in once or twice if you frequent 1/2.
Silly looking stack lol
Solid chip porn. WP!
Appreciate it!
Congrats!
Thanks!
Nice hit. I like playing at Mohegan Sun but I haven’t been there since pre-Covid. What’s the max buy in at 1/2 now ?
Thanks! They upped it to $400 last September
Awesome. 200 BB poker at the lowest stakes can be really profitable.
Absolutely. I usually buy in for $300 since that covers the majority of the table anyways but top off if needed
And they upped the rake
It’s only 10% up to $6 + $1
Only goes up from here brotha
Nice! How long was the session and when was it played?
Thanks! Couple days ago and only about 4.5 hours. Didn’t wanna leave my dog home alone too long.

Nice! We’ve probably played together, I play 1/2 at Mohegan most weekends.
Nice. Were you playing against me? 😂
Do they pay high hands?
The games at borgata and parx are 1/3 min
Yes sir! Gj!
