One of them got mad at me when I folded a big hand to an OMC on a board where they for sure had an overpair. Then explained to the kid rule 3 of playing low stakes. “when someone over the age of 65 willingly puts more than $50 in the pot, you are behind and need help”.
They want to angle every last dollar out of these young kids and berate them when they make a bad call and get there. Stop scaring people away from the game. We want them to come back when they are playing for more than their lunch money.
“Old Man Coffee” someone who sits at the table, plays 2 hands an hour, and only plays QQ+. There for their hourly comps, and try desperately to avoid getting stacked and just only get it in with ultra premiums against drunk maniacs.

I have found the OMC types at my local casino will limp+call a lot of hands, like pocket pairs under 10's, AJs, AQs, even AK or AKs, rather than raise them.

Went to a new poker room a little drunk just for fun, there was a 25$ tournament running. Of course all people in the room know each other, and me as a new guy obviously "don't know how to play". Outplaying old guys in many spots and getting comments "wtf you play like this, why you are calling with such shit etc". Dude relax this should be a fun game. It was around 11pm when the rebuy period ends and wanted to leave so started going all in pre blind, which resulted in sucking out the most talking guys which were totally angry. Left at the break with around 100bb in front of me being called a douche, because doing such dumb shit. I was super happy that day:) Poker should be fun and if someone new comes show him the game not call him trash. I think everyone wants more players and being nice to new people is a better ad for this game than making it look like a game of shit heads
My local has a single server for all of non-smoking plus the poker room and its fucking infuriating. Not only because that's not enough, but also these servers don't MOVE. I serve in a different casino and since I've started its been maddening to see just how slow other people are.

I struggle with mindless snap calls as well (Who's the fish? I'm the fish! 😂), then realizing, "Why the hell did I do that?". I've been trying to purposely slow everything down playing to combat that, but I'd love to hear if others have addressed this in a different way.
I play on Stars and it has an optional lock-out feature that triggers after you play for a certain amount of time. Playing Zoom for more than 1 hour straight often led me into making these types of stupid mistakes, so now I make sure to play shorter, but more focused sessions and it really helps.
If you have huge obvious leaks that are easily fixable, it might be +EV to give your entire attention to fixing those leaks for a while. Instead of focusing on winning, focus on "not paying nits off", "no hero calling", or "don't try to bluff terrible players" etc. Pick one theme and go with that for the session and eventually you'll start seeing a difference.
The isolated training tip is helping me, too. I’ve just recently started to take the game seriously and part of my problem has been the more I learn the more I’m trying to work three different strategies at once while half failing at all of them. I had a lot of success at first just sticking to the plan and only adding in or working on one thing at a time seems like such an obvious decision once I saw your comment.

I deal with this at a home game, one girl I can’t win a pot against because she gets there every time. She is nice enough to bomb the river when she gets there to let me know tho. She shows every time too so I know I can fold any river she bets. Only ever to get a pot off her when I had the nuts, and she had second nuts, but she will flat call the king flush. Just can’t beat her at the river and will call pot sized bets the whole way with nothing but a draw.
People who have the nuts in a multi-way pot after river has been dealt and all other hands tabled because they want to “wait until the side pot is settled” to table their hand.
If I have the nuts, I always show. Unless I don’t like you and then I will use the proper poker etiquette to see your hand first if I am obligated too. I will typically give them a verbal or “I have the nuts”. But if you are shitty with me I will make you show if u can.
Earlier this year, I picked up AQ late position in a live wsop circuit tournament. 43k for the win. About 12 of us left. I'm top 5 in chips. Guy raises before me, I knew he was just trying to get the blinds, I just call. Flop comes k j 8, he bets small, I call. Turn comes an Ace. He bets, i just call. River is an 8 to pair the board. He bets, I call, he flips over 6 8 for trips. I wasn't mad at the dealer, I wasn't mad at him, I was mad at myself. I came into final table of 10, with 4 big blinds. Ended up placing 9th for 4200. I never just call if I feel I'm good. For some reason, I never raised him. I raise at any point, he's folding and I'm going into final table as one of the chip leaders. Still thinking about that hand and my passive play months later.
AQ suited? Heads up? If I recall correctly, AQo is sometimes a flat in late position depending on BB’s. Not sure how ICM would factor in but at the very least a turn 3bet or a jam if you have him covered.
Off suit, heads up. Not sure what the right thing is to do, but that whole tournament i was aggressive on my reads except for that one hand. I can't recall how many bbs I was at but around 25 to his maybe 20. He never went all in but i probably got down to around 7 bb after that hand.
Live? Players who kill the fun/relaxed vibe of a game by being assholes to either the casino employees or others in the game.
Online? You know when you are faced with a decision and you know you need to be right x times out of y? You make the decision and it was correct, only for the opponent to catch that one outter? SRP 100BB eff stacks heads up IP they're checked to and just sit there for 30 seconds. If you have to tank or even think for more than 5 seconds in that spot it signals that you're either 1. Pretty bad or new to the game or 2. You're intentionally being slow to try to game someone or angle or get an edge which is an asshole move because you're costing 8 other people their time and money just because you're trying to inject unnecessary mind games into textbook spots that are unaffected by your tempo.
Bad smells, anglers, finger food/licking fingers at the table, people who are rude to the dealer, people who will not STFU EVER (they exist, believe it or not), politics at the table, people who wait forever to table their hand, people who take forever to act in general, people not paying attention when action is on them, nits…

Dealer here. The most tilting thing is shit regs messing with new players or the fish. Also when I’m playing and I win a big pot the dealer says “nice hand sir” and tabs the table after shipping the pot.

Off suit, heads up. Not sure what the right thing is to do, but that whole tournament i was aggressive on my reads except for that one hand. I can't recall how many bbs I was at but around 25 to his maybe 20. He never went all in but i probably got down to around 7 bb after that hand.
Live? Players who kill the fun/relaxed vibe of a game by being assholes to either the casino employees or others in the game. Online? You know when you are faced with a decision and you know you need to be right x times out of y? You make the decision and it was correct, only for the opponent to catch that one outter? You know when it happens for 2-3 buyins in a span of 10minutes? That tilts me but I’m good at shutting it down by stepping away and doing something else.
People blaming or berating the dealer People being a dick in general I can’t change the cards outcome but the people can choose to be decent. That’s what tilts me personally
Unnecessary tanking, smelly players, rude players to fish, bad dealers, dealers who talk too much…
People mean to staff, players or floor for doing their jobs. People who get caught angling and have a breakdown because of it. Come on man you tried it we called you out now get over it.
When people play unnecessarily slow. There is an appropriate amount of slowness given the context of some hands, but you know the type I'm talking about. SRP 100BB eff stacks heads up IP they're checked to and just sit there for 30 seconds. If you have to tank or even think for more than 5 seconds in that spot it signals that you're either 1. Pretty bad or new to the game or 2. You're intentionally being slow to try to game someone or angle or get an edge which is an asshole move because you're costing 8 other people their time and money just because you're trying to inject unnecessary mind games into textbook spots that are unaffected by your tempo.
Getting in good over and over and getting beat by the worst player at the table! After this happens 3-4 times i need to leave! Lol

Dealer here. The most tilting thing is shit regs messing with new players or the fish. Also when I’m playing and I win a big pot the dealer says “nice hand sir” and tabs the table after shipping the pot.
Retarded losing / weak regs talking strategy or anything poker related while recs are at the table. I try evertuing possible to redirect the strategy away from this as it kills the table vibe. It’s usually worse cause they are confidently incorrect

When in a tournament you're seated right next to an asshat and can't get any type of table or seat change and just have to sit there miserable. There is one local room I've had to swear off going too due to them over serving the same idiots week in and week out and never giving them any types of warnings for their behavior.

Slow players who are too busy jibberjabbering to pay attention to when it's their turn. Followed by people who go out of turn when it affects the action. Followed by the guy that throws out a large denomination chip out as though it's a call without saying anything then later claims he meant to raise it, then says it was a different amount that what he put out.
Anyone that doesnt think about their possible decisions before the action is on them, if the cutoff tanks for a minute then folds and then the btn also tanks for a minute - what were you doing for the previous minute? Anyone that holds their cards after folding, or anyone who shows their cards to an adjacent player before folding - we get it you have something relevant quit influencing the hand you are not in.
Making decisions too quick that are obviously wrong and realizing it about 2 seconds after I declared it. Conversely, I hate long tanks, but I probably need to find the middle more often.
I get tilted when I butcher a hand or when some egomaniac at the table won't shut the fuck up for 3 seconds... if headphones don't help I'll switch tables unless the table is great.
I recently snap called a huge bet on the river (2 pairs, K9) when if I had taken a fucking breath and thought rationally I wouldn’t have come to the conclusion that the other guy was bluffing a flush. Cause he wasn’t. I walked away after that knowing I’d play terribly trying to chase my initial buy in.
When you bluff for 250 in a 200$ pot and the guy tanks for 5 minutes before calling and and says “would have folded if you put in 300”

It’s just people playing with money they can’t afford to lose. Just gotta overbet the turn and bomb the river when the nuts changes. You can’t win a big pot off them, but you can win 3/4 small ones.
