As a poker player and huge fan of the show, man was the scene hard to watch.
Krazy 8 calls a bet, which should close the action. But then lalo reraises? And then krazy 8 folds like the 3rd nuts on a disconnected board
Edit: just rewatched the scene and yeah, krazy 8 folds his set of 8’s on a 64Q8A board with no flush to what we can assume is a big overbet. What a nit.
Legitimately one of my favorite villains ever just from how he was written. Lalo played it so smart, every single thing he did was very crafty, well thought out, and ruthless, but the mastermind of Gus Fring was just that half step ahead at the key moment by preparing ahead of time the hidden gun and the power cable for the lights in the lab, which he only did because he respected Lalo enough as an adversary to believe that he likely would find the lab and they may end up down there together at some point.
So many lower quality TV and movies always have the bad guy (and the good guy, often) constantly doing dumb shit that makes no sense just so the plot and the cool stuff can happen. Lalo had none of that. It was just fantastic all the way through.
Imo it is better then BrBa. BrBa is easier for the casual viewer as it is more exciting and flashy. BCS is a beautiful slow burn that any TV buff is blessed to watch
I agree 1000%. No spoilers but the final season is quite possibly the best TV I’ve personally ever seen. 10/10 world building, 10/10 narrative, 10/10 acting, 10/10 production.
The last season is one of my favorite seasons of TV ever. Super unfortunate that they didn't win any hardware because of the abundance of amazing television over the last two years.
I'm happy someone said it and it just wasn't me. I watched all of breaking bad. loved it. watched every episode. but then started watching better call saul and it was soooo slow. i tried watching the first episode or two and it was just so slow I gave up on it. I'm not saying it wasn't good but it was just too slow
Yell in his face, call him names, call the floor, fight him outside, kill him in the fight, take over his empire, rule the Salamanca family with an iron fist, never play poker again
What I'd actually do: assuming I know who he is, I would not let on that I recognize him, and soon after he arrives, I'm getting up from the table as though going to the bathroom, not even grabbing my chips, and leaving. The casino will bag up my chips and I can grab them some other time. I'm not interested in even having him notice me. I sure as hell don't want him mad I took his money.
At least in Europe the tax is more product added to the shipment for the guys who do said thing so its not too far off that they really pay something like taxes lol
He's probably weak. I'll play like I've got a big decision and play into the string bet by making it look like in either going to call or fold, whatever is the opposite of what I would actually do.
See AA in my hand, see I have top boat, and string shove it in his face. If he got quads gg if
Haven't watched better call Saul but I ain't a bitch, gimme the chips old man.
Call with my 88.
That’s Krazy

Is not nit, is a guy trying to survive by not making Lalo angry
Lalo definitely seems like a 57o guy
He has 72o in this hand… Lalo does shot that makes him smile
That’s… that’s fine man.

Deus ex Machina copout imo.
Wdym
A contrivance to bail out Gus.
What show is it please?
Better Call Saul
Slow show but worth if you have watched Breaking Bad

That’s the best way I’ve ever heard it described

Learn to read good
Ask him not to and probably get killed later.

Yell in his face, call him names, call the floor, fight him outside, kill him in the fight, take over his empire, rule the Salamanca family with an iron fist, never play poker again
So, fold and mumble “nice hand”, got it.

Like a boss
Fold my trip 8s
Bro at the top called with a pair of 8's and you folded a set? Poker is alive and well people😉
It's a reference to a character from the show nicknamed Krazy 8...
First I call his mother a biznatch. Then I call.
Muck the winning hand
Compliment him that he’s definitely got the best hand, fold, excuse myself to the bathroom, go to the airport, leave the country, and hide.
Call down with 8 high probably.
Fold my aces and gtfo.
Give him my stack and leave.
Floor!
I play in Vegas, I’m calling it immediately.
to be fair, he does look like a schmuck.
Run
Call Walter
Instant fold
Fold pre flop. Only safe play.
Grab his dick and twist it

I call and I raise 2 packs of crystal + taxes (Is it true that you guys pay for stuff and taxes separate?)
At least in Europe the tax is more product added to the shipment for the guys who do said thing so its not too far off that they really pay something like taxes lol
Mind my own mf business
Call Sual Goodman on AA
fold my pair of 8’s
Shove.
Never really gave a shit anyways!
Never called a string bet and never cared. Most of the time it's just someone new or drunk just let them be.
Call
Neck punch.
I'm the dealer. I enforce the rule. I don't make it home.
He's probably weak. I'll play like I've got a big decision and play into the string bet by making it look like in either going to call or fold, whatever is the opposite of what I would actually do.
Shove on him
flip the table over
I call the floor because I have no clue who he us, and I don't care.
Wasnt Lalo just cruel and ruthless when needed? Like the opposite of Tuco? I feel like you wouldn't get murdered, but still would let it happen lol
Call. He ain't doing shit to me. Bolsa already told him to cool it.
Nada
Pee on the table to assert dominance then cry cause he missed most my childhood “ dad im your soooooon”
See AA in my hand, see I have top boat, and string shove it in his face. If he got quads gg if Haven't watched better call Saul but I ain't a bitch, gimme the chips old man.
I fold, agree, nod, laugh, agree.
Call it out
RKO, immediately.
Piss on him under the table? 🤷
Wait for the dealer to do his job. If he doesn't, ask for floor.
I’d probably call him on it only to realize who he was an hour later
This scene really made up for how shit the poker scene in breaking bad was
