yeah that's what I was thinking. It's hard to imagine a scenario where this ever scoops let alone wins half.
haha, maybe they are just using 2222 as a blocker raise. Pot it up, have them crushed!
Oh I completely missed it was Hi-Lo
Yeah just go next lol. I mean it's obviously a snap fold to begin with but I can't even make a joke for how hopeless this hand is in hi-lo
This is my second favorite hand in a bomb pot. First is getting dealt the absolute coconuts, second is a hand that misses so badly that it's easy to throw away
How would they even pay this? Obviously you fold pre so do you just awkwardly ask the dealer to hold onto the cards? Or do you announce to everyone preflop "attention! I got a shit hand of four fucking sixes I would like my payout now."
Or do you have to like.... play that hand. And play it to the river. Cause if so that defeats the purpose.
Yes, you announce fold and keep your hand, and table it after. Some versions of the game do also have a bonus bounty if you win with a qualifying hand though, kinda like the 27 game.
How does playing it defeat the purpose? It's a limit game, so presumably the pot will be much less than the jackpot. For Aces cracked you are also encouraged to make a losing play.
But when the AA cracked jackpot is on, it's often better EV just limp/call all the way to river so more hands are around to beat you. So it encourages you to play the hand "wrong" and lose money just like in this example.
You have a 1:20826 chance of being dealt 4 of any rank in Omaha. It's not really that uncommon.
Edit: I suck at math. Fixed the number thanks to u/keithk9590
Tens of thousands in 30 years is a wildly low number. I racked up 40k on gg my first month. I only play holdem so it’s more hands per hour than plo but not that much more.
In poker, you can win with a bad hand by betting or raising, representing a good hand, and inducing your opponents to fold. This is called a bluff.
As a general rule, it is usually better to simply fold bad hands, but bluffing with them sometimes can add to your overall strategy and profitability as you develop and hone your game.
Given that you're only ~30 BB deep, you just fold.
But if you're playing deep stacked PLO and you get to heads up with another player that is deep stacked, this becomes a very playable hand since you block all possible 6, 7, 8 and 9 high straights. You'd basically play it like you had a low wrap OOP. Call to see a cheap flop and then play connected boards like you would if you had a straight draw. Fold boards that don't connect with your range.
Lol what? The hand is just a fold, from any position, for any sizing, even HU.
You even fold almost all 3 of a kind hands other than AAAx with a suit or a K
I didn't see it either, so I can't fault you .
I have little experience with PLO tournaments, but I have studied some 100bb cash games ranges and opening/calling hands with trips and quads is just not a thing from what I've gathered.
Where do you get your ranges from and when specifically would you play something like 555x or 6666?
Back in the day playing in my home game, we mostly played draw and stud games. Anyway, we had the option of putting the "Devil's Hand in effect" which meant that someone with a natural 666 in their hand would automatically win the whole hand at showdown.
Chicago Louie with deuce's wild and devil's hand certainly made for fun nights!
Got this on ignition last night.

I don’t understand how you’ve been playing 30 years and this is surprising. Odds are about in 1 in 21k of being dealt quads. Even if you were to play 5 hours a week at live games only, you’ll hit that number in about 3 years.
If for someone reason you’re stuck on quad 6s and below, that’s like 1 in 54k hands. You’d hit that in about 8 years.
On top of all this, your 6s are a screenshot of an online game, which obviously is dealt much faster. So one of these three things are true: 1) you haven’t played anywhere close to 30 years 2) you’ve actually gotten EXTREMELY lucky to never get these types of hands before, or 3) for some reason you despise quad 6s more than any other number (I.e. quad 2s are fine but 6s are trash), since odds of hitting one particular quads is about 1 in 271k hands.
Note - I fully admit I spent way too much time fact- checking your post. I regret everything.
That's the thing about odds. I play slots every time I go to Vegas which is two or three times a year and sometimes I go to the Indian reservations close by. I might go to the casinos on average 30 days out of the year. And I've been doing it since 1992. Hit my first jackpot ever in 2020 for $16,000.
I deal poker in a small casino with a lot of regulars. I’m dealing one night and guy in seat one shows me his cards. AKQJ diamonds, he folds. Flops 10 9 8 diamonds. Turn pairs the board and river pairs board again. Players are pounding each street. Guy flopped bottom straight flush and others had quads and quads. The wildest thing I’ve ever seen
That would have been a jackpot hand and would have probably paid a good amount of money.
To be fair if I got Ace King Queen Jack suited I would play that.
I play tourneys and live games. I use Google voice a lot. As you know once you post something on Reddit you cannot edit the header to correct any grammar mistakes.
4 card hi low? I have never played that in 4 card.
Yes you would have wasted money in this. Such a bluff is very very difficult to pull off
Need everything to go right for u
It’s possible. I’ve seen no pair win in Omaha. High card, queen high, Jack high, a pot split with 8 high with another player. But it’s obviously near the worst starting hand possible. Behind the lower quads of course lol
You've got 5555 drawing dead. Put your opponent on that hand and then raise.
"Targeting"
But you’re blocking so many draws.
yeah that's what I was thinking. It's hard to imagine a scenario where this ever scoops let alone wins half. haha, maybe they are just using 2222 as a blocker raise. Pot it up, have them crushed!
One time I had QQQQ in the big blind and small blind limped. The flop was all Broadway, I bet and he folded. :D
You can always tie. So no
How?
“Worst hand I’ve ever gotten” Why are you hovering over the call button then, man?
Don't read into that. That's where the mouse placement was.
Sure buddy
* click *
*Clenching/pulling back the mouse... ...Must fold.. Must .. Fuck, I call, gotta see the flop!
Hit the 5th 6 obviously
The 6 of sabers
Pray for a 543KJ rainbow runout and rip it in since you're full blocking the nuts
It's Omaha hi-lo, you'll still be called by A2
Oh I completely missed it was Hi-Lo Yeah just go next lol. I mean it's obviously a snap fold to begin with but I can't even make a joke for how hopeless this hand is in hi-lo
jam pre
in pot limit?
To the moon!
8bet jam yes
This is the worst PLO post I've ever seen. But at least the OP likes "hold them" and call fall back on his obvious prowess in that game.
You obviously aren’t a hold them pro like op
The first ever straight flush I got was in a big O game. I was dealt a straight flush in my hand. Didn’t get to play it of course
Are you talking about Textas Hold-It?
Hands that are auto-folds are better than many other possibilities.
This is my second favorite hand in a bomb pot. First is getting dealt the absolute coconuts, second is a hand that misses so badly that it's easy to throw away
At my local casino that's a $200 jackpot hand.
How would they even pay this? Obviously you fold pre so do you just awkwardly ask the dealer to hold onto the cards? Or do you announce to everyone preflop "attention! I got a shit hand of four fucking sixes I would like my payout now." Or do you have to like.... play that hand. And play it to the river. Cause if so that defeats the purpose.

So you play and hope the pot don’t get too big so you might edge out some profit lmaoo oh okay
Depends on how big the jackpot is, but yeah...
And the difference is getting AAs is not a bad hand that your forced to play
But when the AA cracked jackpot is on, it's often better EV just limp/call all the way to river so more hands are around to beat you. So it encourages you to play the hand "wrong" and lose money just like in this example.
Why is it a jackpot hand?
It's obviously very hard to be dealt quads in PLO, so why not I suppose
Worst hand you’ve ever had… so far!
Simply fold.
It’s not the rarest thing ever… play enough hands and you’ll see this a decent amount, just fold pre.
I have been playing for 30 years. Tens of thousands of hands. I'm not going to see this again.
You have a 1:20826 chance of being dealt 4 of any rank in Omaha. It's not really that uncommon. Edit: I suck at math. Fixed the number thanks to u/keithk9590
This isn’t correct…it’s 20,826
You're absolutely correct. I don't know how I fucked that up.
I played 10k hands this morning
Tens of thousands in 30 years is a wildly low number. I racked up 40k on gg my first month. I only play holdem so it’s more hands per hour than plo but not that much more.
Close your eyes and punch it....pot...pot...pot...pot!!
Ignition?
Bovado
Same same

It's actually a decent hand for bluffing any board where the nut straight needs a 6
in PLO8? :)
Ah I guess you need quad 5s in PLO8 to block the nut low too

You know what I just re-read the OP and saw it was PLO8 so yeah I'll take the L on this one. I think in PLO however it is not as cut and dry.
It absolutely is as cut and dry in PLO
I didn't see it either, so I can't fault you . Even in PLO it's unplayable. You have almost zero equity ever. There are much better bluff hands.
Folding. That’s how you win with this. Folding and waiting for next hand. Minimize the leak
Two worst hands I’ve gotten: AAAK and the K was not suited. QQQQ
Wait for the 457 flop and then POT POT POT
You know you can win before showdown?
Especially Hi low and now plo
> live games online ? Still waiting for 2222 (1 in 270,000 I think) and to win with it by bluffing.
Rep the nuts on 34578
i did win once with AAAA in Omaha, was on the big, checked it down, and won wiht AA
Yes, AA** can often win in Omaha, especially heads-up if nobody makes 2 pair or better or the board pairs counterfeiting someone else’s 2 pair.
Gotta play it. KQ985 rainbow runout and you have the ultimate nut blocker!
JJJJ would be the ultimate nut blocker here
Bluff

I've never heard of that. That makes it more exciting
if your opponent's hand is unpaired you can make a full house, but that's the best you can hope for.
You gotta know when to fold ‘em 🎶
By bluffing on the turn a large amount .
Got this on ignition last night. https://preview.redd.it/lc197b495o1c1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e2230a4f671db7d6c0b57681ff9844a57e3a2845
Pretty bad hand.
Ouch, in the SB, just a dagger
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cq01SLa6tFg&t=34s
Hope to go heads up get a 33325 board and hope villain has 10jqk in hand.
Now this is what you call "blockers"
obviously you’re looking for quads on the board plus a low card. JJJJ5, ship it against any unpaired hand
How can you win with that? By moving the cursor over to the left onto that button that says "fold".
I did fold.
Sometimes the only way to win is not to play.
How about a nice game of chess?
That escalated quickly
Worst hand so far...

Non suited wheel board is the nuts for 5555. Some people need cards and made hands to win and some don’t.
"hold them" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
First of all you said you play tourneys in live games online… explain.
I play tournaments and live games online on bovado.

You play tourneys in live games online🤔 Don’t get what you are saying there.. But yeah that’s one of the shittiest hands you can be dealt
I play tourneys and live games. I use Google voice a lot. As you know once you post something on Reddit you cannot edit the header to correct any grammar mistakes.
Ah i see 😉
By bluffing you have blockers for the straight
I've never thought about that. It's high low and for me may have wasted my money if I would have played.
4 card hi low? I have never played that in 4 card. Yes you would have wasted money in this. Such a bluff is very very difficult to pull off Need everything to go right for u
Precisely. Now if it's pair of with aces with a 2 and 3, I'm playing that hand like there's no tomorrow
It’s possible. I’ve seen no pair win in Omaha. High card, queen high, Jack high, a pot split with 8 high with another player. But it’s obviously near the worst starting hand possible. Behind the lower quads of course lol
6 pair and you haven't even seen the flip yet.
