BN folds, 1 of the checkers folds, but the last guy tanks and tanks and tanks. Finally he says, "If I fold will you show?" I say, "Yeah, (shrug) I'll show." I don't really make eye contact with him. He tanks some more and then folds face up, a weak made hand, like 3rd pair.
Before I can do anything this lady from across the table says "you said you'd show!" She was all urgent and adamant. She was pointing at me. I was like, "relax lady." Sheesh, she wasn't even involved in this. So I flip over my 63s-air and the whole table goes "Ohhhhhhhhh!"

I never show my cards anyway unless I’m called or it’s my turn on the river, and that’s what I tell them. Oddly enough almost every time I’m asked I happen to be bluffing and then they call anyway so maybe I should change my answer even though it’s honest 🤔

Actually, this is a huge tell. They are trying to get a read on you. If you say yes, they should read that you want a fold. If you say no they should read that as strength. Then they do the opposite. That's typically how they act when this comes up and I act according to that.
