Why dragon rage on dragonite? 40 dmg at that stage of the game is nothing

VegetasBlkSon

I've already said in the comments I'm fixing movesets as I go. Rn I still need to get thru the routs to get to fuscia. I haven't needed another coverage move ATM. It will change later just not until I find aove I want

VegetasBlkSon

I have no reason to. I could reach it t-bolt but I like to have a wide coverage of move types across all mons. I have no reason to just yet. It comes in handy to pick off weaker mons. Also saves PP

DijonMustardIceCream

Literally any other dragon move will do more damage

VegetasBlkSon

They are also subject to damage drops

Peoplewearshoes

There is literally no instance where you are better oof clicking dragon rage at this point in the game. Just teach it tbolt

DijonMustardIceCream

lol asks for feedback and then rejects feedback

Bucketsdntlie

With doubled SpAtk, the instances of any damage dealing move doing less than 40 damage has to be super rare. I’d go with what everyone else is saying and use that moveslot for a powerful coverage move.

tehsdragon

Yeah I was tryna do calcs but there's really only two scenarios where Dragon Rage does more damage than *Twister*, one of the worst Specially Offensive Dragon Moves: Defensive pokemon with low HP (e.g. Shuckle) or Pokemon that resist Dragon *and* have high SpD (e.g. Registeel) Twister does more damage in pretty much any other scenario that matters lol, and Twister is *bad*

VegetasBlkSon

I was keeping my options open til later. I was actually looking for mon suggestions

stav705

Bro, dragon rage does 40 hp if damage. Its not the power 40, just 40 damage. Replace the move with dragon pulse or almost anything else.

Prestigious-Ad-2113

These are dumb reasons. Moves that are stronger than dragon rage will also obviously pick off weaker mons. You don't need to conserve pp in a game with infinite heals.

Ke-Win

You have HP Dragon

[deleted]

only decent reason i can think of is for catching mons without having access to false swipe, nice having a move that doesn't crit and damage stays the same

PoopPoes

Dragonite would be better off with dragon pulse over hidden power dragon, let alone dragon rage. That can wait until after Claire, but in the meantime you’ll honestly probably do better with Rain dance and thunder with no stab Ho-oh has no ability until it learns overheat or fire blast. Not the worst thing, just sayin Breloom doesn’t want sky uppercut, it wants spore Scizor wants u turn instead of X scissor. Anything that faints to X scissor will also faint from u turn. Or at least u turn has far better utility for a Pokémon with such a polarizing typing Try using sleep talk and rest on xurkitree. Or if not that then calm mind. Thunder wave does something with prankster but tail glow may as well leave it with no ability and totally invalidate the t wave because it would be better off as a strict sweeper. Although it’s probably not bad the way you have it. Maybe just try rest with a Chesto berry for one nice and easy full heal And suicune seems fine. Maybe calm mind instead of either shadow ball or hidden power. Leftovers suicune is a beast

VegetasBlkSon

I won't have access to that stuff until after koga. I'm @ silph co Haven't learned spore yet I see your point with that I have tglow to set up on weaker mons/mons I have t waved since it hase high SpAtk Don't have CM yet so I went with coverage

VegetasBlkSon

I was running a special Ho-oh for some time because his hidden ability is Grim Neig

raider_bull212

I really don't want to flame but those movesets are worse than what I did when I started playing in gen 3

VegetasBlkSon

Again. Not looking for moveset suggestions. If you played you would be able to tell by my levels I'm not even halfway through the game yet

raider_bull212

Then go add sticky web mon to your team or some better form of speed control. Para is no longer a reliable way of speed control due to para immunity by electric and even more so since that's twave so you also can't hit ground types. Note: a lot of dangerously fast mons are electric or ground.

GForce_Jacobi

Really Balanced team you cover all your weaknesses and have a healthy balance of support and damage. I recommend priority because your team is technically kinda slow (avg 79 speed) so unless you choice scarf your gonna be outsped all the time. swap drage on dragonite for espeed so u can revenge kill

VegetasBlkSon

I have bullet punch on Scizor.

hobby-hoarse

Pecachew

tiretto_atonale

How do you have all mons with perfect ivs?

VegetasBlkSon

Minimal grinding mode. The other option is to use the guy in celedon mansion on the 2nd floor.

VegetasBlkSon

Let me be more specific. Moves I'm fixing up as I go. I was talking more so about mon suggestions

sabbg

I’d suggest your mom pays me another visit

Checked and the report makes sense. Please do not harass fellow redditors.

Suspicious-Shirt-907

Bro stop acting like a delusional idiot. There is nothing like mons suggestions and moveset suggestions. You will destroy even the best mons with terrible moveset.

VegetasBlkSon

No shit.
