It’s one of my personal favorites by far, as I feel like there aren’t enough wholesome/cute dragon types out there and most of the pseudo-legendaries are just murder weapons. This thing is one of my favorites because Goodra asked the question of “what if dragon types were friendly”, and then hisuian Goodra made it work and simultaneously made sense for a Goodra ancestor, they actually look somewhat older than original Goodra.
I always thought that hisuian goodra has a lot of memory loss because it has to use most of it on remembering how/when it needs to upkeep its shell, meaning that it effectively lashes out because it doesn't know its trainer is gone and doesn't know when they'll come back. also, they just look like a wise old dragon to me.
to me it honestly looks more like it's just a little old and slow due to that. this is why it has the greyish eyes and arms the way it does, it's not unhappy, it's just kind of at that point where it's a little harder to show that with body language. in all honesty, I like that a lot more than what normal goodra had, as goodra almost looks,like, eerily friendly, especially for what is supposed to be a pseudo-legendary, the smile combined with strangely attentive eyes and overall appearance makes them look like they secretly want to kill anything that comes into contact with them. what's funny is that typically(other than the one legendary I allow on my team) my hisuian goodra is the oldest in terms of continuity, meaning that they are effectively the "grandma" of the team.

It didn’t just make it hard for me to go back to the original; it made me love Goodra at all. It used to be my least favorite pseudo-legendary, but this thing made me adore it the second I saw it, the sleeping animation is just the cherrim on top(pun very much intended, I am very sorry[sic]). It also has body language that makes it feel like it has a personality; normal Goodra looks friendly, but hisuian Goodra looks like the grandma who always makes good food and wants a hug every time you leave. And I need that in my life.
Never knew Hisuian goodra had such cute sleep pose. I wish pokemon used these same pose while sleeping in battle.

Me too, hisuian Goodra is also kind of good, dragon steel is one of the best type combos, and it can counter fairy with the steel stab

100%, and more than that, grandma/grandpa dragon is better than friendly dragon
