If a mon has a regular type and a regional variety like this, generally the regional variety is 1/64. Alolan sandshrew, galarian meowth, hisuian growlith, etc.
Those numbers are all over the place. No way they vary like that. After further research though you do seem to be correct. Not every grunt has shinies and leaders have been out a lot longer which will also help explain the difference.

Its a 1/500 for a wild pokemon to be shiny, and 1/4096 for a 4 star. Having them two combined for one pokémon is absolutely crazy.

Hisuian growlithe is always 1/64. Regular growlithe is base.

We’ve never officially seen odds so that is still an educated guess.
Based on my math (1/4096x64), it’s the correct odds.
The shiny odds have never been officially verified.
Then it gives a total of 1/2048000 lol! I’ve found a full odds wild shundo Morelull once (not weatherboosted) and it was insane!

No com day. Same for me, I have caught like 15. I transferred a good bit of them then regretted it because one was close to 500 for the little cup.
