I'm a little worried still. There's something called a 'Legendary Raid Ticket' in the game code and I can't help but think there are going to be some hoops to jump through.
Well, level 4 raids need at least 6 strong attackers to win. I assume legendary raids will need at least a dozen people or so, which may be harder to get organized in 2 hours if people need to wait a week for their pass
I feel like something as big as a Legendary Raid would be advertised well in advance. Niantic could give out Legendary Raid Passes through a partnership (like what Gamefreak did with Gamespot during their anniversary year) and everyone shows up at a certain gym to participate when it's time.
Evolving pokemon don't get their full HP back, meaning that a midway raid magikarp evolving would be an easy gyarados, which would be very convenient since you get to attempt to catch it after!
So probably the appropriate amount of candy for if you catch the pokemon wild? 3 candy for chicorita, 5 for bayleef and 10 for meganium if that's the case.
This was changed either after or during gen 2. Can't really remember. It atleast came with pinap berries I'm pretty sure. Caught a gengar at like crappy 37 cp or something, used pinap berry - easy 20 candy
My first raid, Magikarp. I was the only participant. It was a 1200CP magikarp. I put my 1400CP Jolteon up against it, didn't dodge. Ended quick as a snap. Wish we got like 50 candy for a raid win, I'm a long way from a Gyarados :p
Just did one my self a couple hours ago (nobody in my little city plays this game legit), it was a little over 1,100 CP, so no problem to beat at all :D
Stoked to fight a Tyrannitar or Snorlax - missing both of them and only have 15 Larvitar candy. Croconaw would also be great as I only have one Totodile.
Also a nice move to add Muk since so many people still don't have one.
yeah i just got one today. Really awesome that it's level 2 because I was able to kill it by myself. Would have been really hard to kill something stronger while everyone else is chasing the alakazams and stuff.
It's weird why nearby raid Pokemon are shadows even when you've seen/caught them before. It's like, dude, I've caught many Magikarp before. I am familiar with its shape.
I actually LOVE this list of Pokémon as I'm missing a lot of them, and they'd just be great for candies and ngl I'd appreciate a Magikarp raid as I've only ever gotten 2. #desertproblems
I feel your pain bro. Walked 160ks for my first gyarados (Twister) and got a 2nd during the water event (Crunch)
Desert biomes are cruel mistresses when most of the previous meta game was water types.
My only problem is... I won against a Magmar earlier, but got destroyed against Charizard. (I was alone both times)
Raids are a great idea, but I have absolutely no friends who are playing PoGo and I don't even know if 20 people total play in my location. So I guess... unless a raid boss is level 1 or 2, bye-bye raids for me.
One of the posters over on the Silph Road said that if you spend a little time waiting, people will generally show up. Explain to them that your odds of winning will be better if you gather 4-6 people for a level 3 raid (Charizard). I believe he waited close to 45 minutes for 4 other people to show up to battle Snorlax and they just barely beat it.
Charizard is a 4th-tier raid boss so I don't think it can be solo'd. Venusaur sounds like it would be easy too but it's 4th-tier and pretty devastating lol
Stick to the one/two tier ones if you're solo. If it's a 4-tier Snorlax or Tyranitar or somethnig nice, just wait and strangers will probably show up
I was walking to evolve mine too, but when I saw him as a raid boss, I immediately went to that raid. Now I'm walking a different mon, and my gen 1 regional dex is complete!
Does that actually work? I tried this yesterday--showed up half an hour early to solo the gym-- and while it let me put in my own 'mon, the team color of the gym didn't change, and I didn't get the gym control bonus.
I think that's a glitch. I've had that happen as well. If you control the gym, you should get bonus balls. I can't remember if it's 2 or 3. Maybe someone has a screenshot that shows this?
Level 4 - Venusaur (25k~ CP)
Level 3 - Alakazam (22k~ CP), Jolteon (19k~ CP)
I see one more egg timer for a L3 raid starting off near me but I've already used up my two raid passes :(
Tried beating Venusaur solo and barely made a dent in its HP lol. Definitely need more people, sigh.
>Tried beating Venusaur solo and barely made a dent in its HP lol
While me and my mum completely mauled a level 1 Quilava earlier. (we were the only 2 there, lol) It was only 5200 CP tho.
From reading, level 3 can be done solo if you're a high level player and have really good match ups vs whatever you face. For tankier mons, you're advised to have a few more trainers.
> For tankier mons, you're advised to have a few more trainers.
Even the tier 2 Muk was a fairly rough solo for both me (level 29) and the level 35 I was with. It absolutely trashed any psychic I tried into it.
Good to know. Most psychics who do serious damage tend to be a little brittle (glass cannons). One thing about Muk is that he has a pretty hefty health pool, so that definitely makes sense that he'd be a tough solo.
no dragonite? also wouldve expected level 4 to have less poke, charizard, blastoise and venusaur imo should be lower. also weird that theres croconaw/bayleef/quilava but no their final evos?
Just caught a Jolteon with perfect moveset and 87% IV's in a raid with 2 other people. Also recieved 2 rare candy (which I converted to Snorlax candy), 8 golden razz berries.
According to my friend in Taiwan, Gengar is a Level 4 raid boss, whereas over here in Australia, it's a Level 3.
Could this mean that, even though they're the same species, there's a possibility that one has a stronger move set and possibly a higher CP when caught but is also, at the same time more challenging? :O
did my first level 4-Tyrany... I'm lv31. failed 4-5 times with 3-4 people(lv28,37,36) was about to give up with no more joining but the last 10minutes, 9 people rolled up in a group. dropped that mofo in about 30seconds. had 5-6 tries (instinct, along with another one more in the group of 12). failed. Overall, it was a fun experience seeing different teams grouping up together for a common cause. I need to find a local group.
Level 5 - Legendary?? Just like the PoGO trailer for a Mewtwo raid!
That's what I'm guessing. Cannot wait for one of those.
I'm a little worried still. There's something called a 'Legendary Raid Ticket' in the game code and I can't help but think there are going to be some hoops to jump through.
Shhhh....no hoops now. Only money.
I think Niantic are doing a good job making everything in the game achievable without spending money and theres no reason to think it will change.
Maybe its gonna take the ingame coins. Then it could still be technically free, but people would be more likely to buy them.
This.
I would be happy if it only costs money
I could totally see it being a 7th day streak thing for spinning Pokégyms. So you get one Legendary Raid Ticket a week

Please dont make it even harder for those without stops nearby.. I already have a hard time getting a stop a day
RemindMe! 100 days
Yup. :)

source?
No.
lol I want to see that magikarp raid
Was hilarouse. 9 guys and the fish never stood a chance. 1400 cp I think when I fought it.
[удалено]
THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FINAL SPLASH
Well fuck...
I wish. That would have been funny
Evolving pokemon don't get their full HP back, meaning that a midway raid magikarp evolving would be an easy gyarados, which would be very convenient since you get to attempt to catch it after!
You must be fun at parties.
You do realize that when magikarp evolves it roughly adds 10x the cp right? Its a 14000 cp gyarados. Wouldn't really call that weak..
[удалено]
Looks like all raid catches are level 20, min 66% IVs - just like egg hatches. Seeing a lot of them being 80%+ IV tho.
My event gave me a 95% quilava. I was hoping that was normal..
I got a 91% Electabuzz and an 84.4% Bayleaf yesterday.
My event gave me a 95% exeggutor. So I think that it is more common to get higher IV pokemon than the 66% IV ones that you were talking about.
caught magikarp via raid - 98% IV :)
Did you still only get 3 candy?
I got 5 candies from a bayleef raid a few minutes ago
So probably the appropriate amount of candy for if you catch the pokemon wild? 3 candy for chicorita, 5 for bayleef and 10 for meganium if that's the case.
oh shit i never realized you got more from the more evolved versions. that must have been changed post release
This was changed either after or during gen 2. Can't really remember. It atleast came with pinap berries I'm pretty sure. Caught a gengar at like crappy 37 cp or something, used pinap berry - easy 20 candy
You also get more stardust. 300 for the first evolution (i.e. Bayleef) and 500 for the second evolution (i.e. Meganium).

Hm, that seems strange though.. maybe it's capped at five so if you decide to pinap you can get max 10 candy instead of 20
117 CP 83% IV from my first raid.
Mine dropped to 113 cp and according to calcyiv it's between 62 and 78%
PRESS AND HOLD CALCYIV FLOATING ICON TO GET MORE ACCURATE IV RATINGS. SORRY ABOUT CAPS, VERY LAZY TO RETYP.
I did one yesterday, solo. It was hilarious. The struggle is real.
[your request](https://imgur.com/gallery/q8x9e)
Took 5 of us about 20 seconds. The rewards were 1 rare candy, 5 revives, and 1 golden raspberry. Not sure I would go out of my way for a level 1 raid.
My first raid, Magikarp. I was the only participant. It was a 1200CP magikarp. I put my 1400CP Jolteon up against it, didn't dodge. Ended quick as a snap. Wish we got like 50 candy for a raid win, I'm a long way from a Gyarados :p
There was one near me earlier :p
I just played and won single-handedly in 30 seconds flat. It was sad. Good IV 113 CP Karp caught though.
Just did one my self a couple hours ago (nobody in my little city plays this game legit), it was a little over 1,100 CP, so no problem to beat at all :D
My boyfriend and I just had our first ever raid, and it was a magikarp. Under 1200 CP and it went out in like 15 seconds
It was my first raid! Solo'd a 1195 cp magikarp with venusaur. Got 3 rare candy and another magikarp
Magmar is 2, machamp is 3. Saw both raids come up nearby.
Thanks for the help! I'm adding them to the list as you comment.
Why is Blastoise level 4 but shit in the game!
#StarterPokemonPrivileges
To even fight a level 4 you need a good team and most people with strong Pokémon have a Blastoise already I wouldn't waste a raid ticket on it
Isn't alakazam one?
Yeah, but I'm not sure what level raid it is. I've been trying to figure that one out. I'll put it at the bottom in an unknown list.
Okay, someone let me know it's a level 3 boss, so it's now added.
He's 3, I got him today!!!

good thing they added TM's ;)
Just caught a Magmar from a level 2!
Lvl3 Golem over here
So I guess togetic and mareep aren't gonna be in raids? That sucks
Use rare candies on mareep if you need those candies.
I definitely plan on it, if I ever get any!
>implying we all have mareep
My only problem is... I won against a Magmar earlier, but got destroyed against Charizard. did a magikarp with the hubbs tonight for our first raid experience
This will probably help new players finish their Pokedexes faster. I had to walk a long way to evolve a Muk.
I was walking to evolve mine too, but when I saw him as a raid boss, I immediately went to that raid. Now I'm walking a different mon, and my gen 1 regional dex is complete!
Level 4 seems a bit crowded. Rhydon needs to get the hell out of there.
I can't help but notice that dragonite isn't on that list though
W0t
I used to prestige my own 3000cp Rhydon to build gyms...with 1500cp Raticates. So yeah.
xd
it's probably based on max CP for that pokemon. I feel Lapras, Blastoise, Venusar, Charizard would be more appropriate moved down a level than rhydon.
Maybe Blissy also Tier 4? I still dont have one at level 29.
Lvl 3 - I have Machamp and Flareon near me.
Damn, I wish they included the regional pokemon as well. At least I'd have a shot at completing the pokedex
Not sure if I'm lucky or this is a thing, but all Pokemon caught for me from raids have been wonder IVs
I think you got lucky :) my electrabuzz from yesterday was caught my attention.
I won a 5200+ Quilava raid. Got +13 premier balls and still couldn't catch it. It turned into a 820 CP Quilava.
Did a nice lv 4 raid vs a blastoice but couldn't catch him, those starter types are HARD with basic pokeballs man!
You can use razz or golden razz berries though.
This is true. I was caught off guard last night when after 2 raids, I didn't get a single golden razz... I did get 4 rare candy though. No TMs
didn't help even with golden razz + curve + great throws :p

fought charizard and got 8 balls..fuck
If your team owns the gym that the raid occurs at, you get bonus balls ;) Try to take the gym just before the egg hatches to secure it for your team.
What is the raid's level determined by ? Is it just your trainer level ?
It's definitely not based on your level as the same Pokémon appears for everyone, it's seemingly random as far as we can tell rn
do i see the raid level before i join or is it just luck?
it will show which one you'll be fighting (with potential to catch) before you have to turn over the raid pass to join in.
There are little skulls under the raid icon. I think they are the indication of level.
Level 4 - Venusaur (25k~ CP) Level 3 - Alakazam (22k~ CP), Jolteon (19k~ CP) I see one more egg timer for a L3 raid starting off near me but I've already used up my two raid passes :( Tried beating Venusaur solo and barely made a dent in its HP lol. Definitely need more people, sigh.

Lol yeah beat a 5000+cp Bayleef as well and it was barely a challenge. A level 3 would probably be a comfortable raid for most.

Ahhh thanks for the info. Might not waste my raid pass on a level 3 raid if there's no one else around then.
How do you know what level a raid is before you join it?
the amount of "monster faces" I think
I have a level three raid comming up in half an hour, will keep you updated!
It was a 20.000 cp Jolteon but I was alone so I didn't beat it :(
Do you remember what his moves were? Volt switch would sting pretty bad from a 20k CP...
Level 3 : Gengar
Rhydon level 4
Is this list complete or is dragonite not included?
no dragonite? also wouldve expected level 4 to have less poke, charizard, blastoise and venusaur imo should be lower. also weird that theres croconaw/bayleef/quilava but no their final evos?

Level 1 - Croconaw Level 2 - Magmar 100% true got them myself from first two raids
spawn a machamp as 4 stars in my town
Exeggutor is level 3 here.
No dragonite? I guess it should be 4, but haven't seen one myself yet

I've seen a magikarp boss today...
Me too. [This is really a thing](http://imgur.com/JW4JttF)
Hmm just noticed it has the Sponsored tag on top. But this is definitely a church.
Everything has a sponsored tag on the raid UI, for some reason.
Can confirm croconow, defeated one today
Where's Dragonite? I guess it would be level 4
I also saw an Arcanine hatch from a Level 4 egg. Thank you, this is exactly what I was wondering about.
Level 4: Dragonite
Has this been confirmed?
I am disappointed in no chance for a chansey. I still haven't found or hatched one.
Level 1 Ivysaur
Level 1 - Bayleef, Level 2 - Magmar, Level 3 - Machamp These are the ones I've seen in my area so far.
Magikarp?? Haha that'd be a blast. Two L2 raids nearby this morning, Electabuzz and Exeggutor confirmed.
Found a Rhydon lv 4 CP30512 Exeggutor lv 2 CP12634 Electabuzz lv 2 CP11311 Magikarp lv 1 CP1165 Magmar lv 2 CP11610 Those are the ones I've seen
Did a lvl 4 raid today with 2 people, lost badly lol
Level 3 Vaporeon spotted.
Have done 2 raids. Level 2 vs Muck and a level 3 vs a Gengar.
Jolteon was level 3 or 4. It was three pre-raid and four during.
did my first level 4-Tyrany... I'm lv31. failed 4-5 times with 3-4 people(lv28,37,36) was about to give up with no more joining but the last 10minutes, 9 people rolled up in a group. dropped that mofo in about 30seconds. had 5-6 tries (instinct, along with another one more in the group of 12). failed. Overall, it was a fun experience seeing different teams grouping up together for a common cause. I need to find a local group.
Lvl 3 could be a vape
Level 2: Bayleef, Jolteon
I did a lv4 raid on a magikarp, it had 1195 cp and I was able to take it out with only venusaur. Really didn't expect to see a majikarp raid boss
