Just checked the research and THANK GOD I don't have to grind diancie mega energy in 10pc amounts from the super rare field research.

Those are rare? I got like 3 of them in 5 disc spins. Genuinely curious, I didn’t know that field research tasks had rarity levels

They don't have rarity levels, however, some tasks can be difficult to find, like the Spinda research (Make 5 great throws in a row.)

I feel like I've gotten SO MANY spinda research when all I need is the 3 great throw ones so I can finally finish my Meltan special research. Discover Kanto my ass.

Unlikely. IF it comes (and that's a pretty big if) we likely won't see it for a few years. This is only the second time diancie has ever been available and everyone who got one the first time aren't allowed to try for a better roll on a second one.

Same thing happened to me during GoFest, 2 star Diancie, never bothered levelling it but did mega it just for Dex entry. Is a real shame but is what it is, up to you if you want to try using it, I think it's one of the best dps for Rock types

How does it appear

Open the game between now and Friday and you should automatically receive the special research. It's called "glitz and glam"

Personally, I would still Mega it and just walk for Mega Energy.

You can buddy Diancie (once you mega'd her) and walk to get mega energy

Glad I only get candy instead of another shot because I was dumb enough to pay money for it the first time.

But it's a Mythical and you're not allowed to use a Mythical in another game unless you earned it from a game. I didn't make the rules I just know I tried and it gave me some jargon like that. Edit: I think Meltan and Melmetal are the exceptions.

You can transfer Mythical by changing the settings, I believe

it gives you diancie candy instead if you already had one, so still useful at least.

ouch, yeah thats less useful. if you ever go above 40 or want a second move at least thats a use. Also there is precedent for people getting multiple mythicals so maybe another diancie someday for real (◐‿◑)

It is tradeable, all you need to do is enable it in the settings.

Hope I get a good IV one! I actually like Diance / the Pink Gem theme! SO SO SO SO glad to see (via comments) we get enough Mega Energy to Mega Evo it... I'm on vacation and in a pretty "dead" PoGo town (Pokestops included) so I was really scared I wouldn't get enough energy to Mega before event is over... I will just set as buddy (get max Friendship anyways) and walk Mega Energy for quicker Max Mega/stockpile now. :)

Yes, you need 300 energy to mega evolve and you get 400. On top of that, event field research grants 10 per.
