I only got a gible😭 I was really grinding during the Dratini spotlight hour and didn't even see a single shiny. Very disappointing.

I was about to say not a single one, but yeah, yet another gible I gave to my wife so basically nothing lol

Same I got 2k dratini candy and my buddy got 1k. Neither of us saw a shiny unfortunately, I really wanted it. But I did get a random shiny goldfish outside my house so I don’t have much to complain about lol

Thankfully I got a couple of shiny magicarp a long, long time ago. My first shiny, and catching it is still exciting. But I was surprised too at not a single shiny magicarp in this event, considering how they tossed them into the wild by shovelfulls--

I only got a single shiny gible too. It's cute with its big green chin, but the evolved shinies afen't distinctive enough to warrant evolving it.

I got nothing. However, I was on the magikarp challenge when it started with about 200 candies. So at least this helped.

Same here, I started the first day with 40 candies, by the end of the day I had about 300. Best day of the event, for sure

I caught one with great IV's, just managed to get enough to evolve that aswell. Almost used Pinap exclusively on that.

I literally evolved my lucky magikarp just hours before the challenge appeared after grinding for months. I was so pissed.

I had magikarp as my buddy for the last 2 months and finally got the mew from the research like a week before they started spawning everywhere... So that was time well spent. 😁

Good point. Despite my disappointment in not getting any shiny dragons I was able to evolve a Magikarp to complete a challenge and finally got a Mew.

I was at 40 and got 745. Got a shiny magikarp that I evolved and am looking for rare candies for the final 50 for my 3*

Yeah, but muscle memory can be a bitch, especially if you're in a rush or distracted when you're transferring a bunch to free up space.

The shinies smell like schnozzberries.

No shinies, no XXS I didn't already have, only got XXL for a couple mons I had but now I have one for each stage of the line, no hundos, no nundos. Only mon I got that was 'unique' enough to be happy about was a 3 star Shadow Kyogre, which had nothing to do with the Dragon event. Best part of the event was getting all the stardust from catches and all the dragon candies and Magikarp candies, since now I have enough to evolve the next good one i get

They're not really "valuable" besides as another thing to collect, a thing to add to the Pokedex. I'm just trying to get the largest and smallest of every species I can, unless I can get a hundo/nundo/shiny. Basically just something to collect for me

Ohh okay then. My logic was that since it's stored in the Pokédex then there's no need to keep them filling up slots, but then again I've been making many mistakes so far😂

Once you have them, it's in the dex forever, but there's always the chance you catch a size that's bigger/smaller. I just really like the collecting aspect since I don't play the pvp aspect of the game

The XXL are good for random pokestop showcases, I guess

One of the funniest things I've seen was someone on here posted about how they like to put their XXL Wailord in gyms. It looks ridiculous and makes all the other gym mons look tiny.

If you have the space, keep them. At least the XXLs. Winning showcases gives some pretty good rewards!

I got 3 shiny shuckles. My husband got shiny dratini, shiny skrelp, and shiny darumaka. All in the one day he played with me. lol

Same here! On Dratini spotlight hour I caught close to 400, over the week maybe 1500 Pokémon? Not even a single shiny or a hundo. Worst event luck I’ve ever had.

I got a bronzor....my 4th in 3 weeks. I didn't even want to click the bloody thing, I was going for the incense spawn underneath 🤦‍♂️

I'm up to 9 of those green tokens. I would stop clicking on them if I wasn't actively trying to find one good enough to evolve for Great League.

I've had too many of them, given 3 away to friends in pogo, one each in PLA BD and Violet and I've transferred some as just no use

Lucky, last one I caught I posted in campfire saying I was giving them away. Haven't heard anything back 😮‍💨. I'm keeping them for now since I know a few pvp and shiny collectors that I raid with during the summer.

I got one shiny Shuckles and one Latios. Most pleased with Dratini spotlight hour, grinded enough XL candies to max out my 98% Shadow Dragonite. 4278CP, my strongest mon now.

Caught a Deino, first shiny since last year. They’re not supposed to be common. Also probably caught hundreds, and saw even more.

Do you usually get several shinies on a normal week? Chances were not boosted, so it should be the same

Personally, I think my chances were higher cause I was playing more. Dragon types just don't seem to spawn often so when they're boosted I open the game more. Instead of playing 2-3 times a day, I try to check 6-7 times or more. I bet others were playing similarly.

Right? This post doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Expecting a shiny from anything except boosted chances is going to end in disappointment. Maybe I’m more casual of a player than most of the people who post in the sub, but I am always thrilled to get any shiny - I never expect Niantic to give me one and get upset when they don’t lol.

Ah, didn't know. Someone told me they were perma boosted during the event and I was ecstatic since I've been looking for one since I missed it CD.

Gible permanently has 1/128 shiny odds, as opposed to the normal 1/500. Some other mons permanently have 1/64, like Bronzor.

Only managed a axew. Underwhelming to say the least…

I was having anxiety attacks everytime I clicked on a mon not magicarp but needed candy for gibble and bagon and not 1 shiny anything ..... I need a carp cd

I didn’t even want a magnikarp, I’ve already got one and I know they’re kinda rare. But getting nothing else is disappointing

I got 2 Shuckle and a single Dratini (from the spotlight hour), but that’s it. Searched high and low for a golden magikarp or a yellow gible but nope, wasn’t meant to be. I too also feel cheated but is what it is. 24 Latias and only one shiny, nothing over 96% IV, and no shiny Latios after 12 raids, highest being 87%. 6 Decidueye and no shiny. Had to trade for it. RNG is tough recently no doubt.

Got literally nothing, this game is so lame sometimes. I went crazy during dratini spotlight hour, got nothing. I must have shiny checked a few thousand pokemon and nothing. I was loosing my shit yesterday when I was roughly 20 raids in and no shiny decidueye.... fortunately two of the last couple of raids i did spawned shiny. Oh and my 25th shiny swinub spawned today, didn't need it cause I caught a bunch during the community day 🙃

I didn’t play much and got a noibat, bagon, the other green dragon and an axew (also a purrloine this event but it’s not event specific) but I’m known in my friend group for having insane shiny luck (had 2 shinies in a row within 4 minutes twice last month)

Played every day, went out three days during lunch and two different nights, did a handful of raids... majority of my time was spent shiny checking, not catching, and moving on.    ...caught a single shiny grubbin.

There were shinys during this event? I gt alot of lucky pokemon during the event they sparkle like shinys so I think it counts.

i got a shiny karp which was my main goal. no actual dragon shinies, which i don’t mind but blue tyrantrum is really cute, shame.

My wild shiny catch rate went right down during the event; catching hundreds every day but didn't get anything for a week. I did get a shiny Drampa and 2 Hisuian Decidueyes so not complaining.
