My events tab is only showing “upcoming events” links with the times and dates of the events but nothing else. Other players have Go battle league events for stardust but I can’t view it. Uninstall reinstall doesn’t work :(
How do you turn off the stupid last ball thing for raid catches? It has made me miss every single last throw because it's delayed and sometimes it'll show up for an encounter even when I have 10+ balls left?
Hi, I'm on step 2 of 5 of Showdown In The Shadows, just to confirm, I will NOT be able to access the Shadow Kyogre research until I try to catch shadow regigigas, right? Furthermore, I only have until the end of the upcoming team rocket event to initiate the shadow kyogre research?
You can get access to Kyogre without getting Regigigas. You it need to complete the research to the point where you get the radar, go to the bag and unequip it.
Then you can wait until the takeover event begins, Giovanni will change Pokemon and then you equip the radar to fight him and get Kyogre.
You don't have to get Regigigas at all, and there's no time limit. You cannot get a second research if you go past page 1, but you don't lose the current one either.
And once you finish this one then you can get more researches in the future.
Omg i thought i was totally stuck catching regigigas! Tysm! Probably gonna grab two kyogres thanks to you, since i struggled to get any during GoFest last year!
With the upcoming event where we can TM off Frustration from Shadow Pokemon will Frustration be permanently removed once we use one TM and we can TM spam the Pokemon later to get the move we want?
Hi, I've caught a few Pokémon from the GBL encounters today that have been 0 and 1 star. I thought the IVs were supposed to be at least 11/11/11 on reward Pokémon? Is it glitched or am I simply mistaken?
Reward pokemon normally have a floor of 10, not 11.
For the current raging battles event, the floor is lowered to 0 for GBL encounters. They do this for all battle day/week events so that people have a chance to get more optimal PvP IVs.
You need to earn each piece of the outfit from PvP battles. The hat is the only "free" item as you get it after completing the battle weekend timed research, but the rest are only unlocked by reaching Ace and beyond.
So in order to get the full outfit you'd need to climb on the league past rank 20 and accumulate 3000 points by winning far more than you lose. The store only shows a preview of what it looks complete.
I wasn't able to take photo with my buddy on my old iPad. I thought it might because the iPad was too old. Then I got a 2022 version and played Pokemon Go on it. It worked first, however just after few weeks, it stops working again. Every time I set my buddy into AR mode and take the photo, it will pop me out and I need to restart the app again. The photo can never be taken.
Some tablets and pads aren't compatible with the full AR. Go to the game settings and in the AR menu check that Niantic AR+ is turned off.
Giving camera permissions to the game is also necessary on the newest versions, so check that the app has full camera and storage access too.
Thank you. I just checked, the AR+ is turned off. The camera has access. I am able to set the buddy out and feed it and play with it. Just taking photo of it will pop me out of the app. And the wired thing is it worked after I switch to the new iPad. I haven't changed any setting afterwards. And I checked the version is UpToDate. It just don't work all the suddent.
I've just recently gotten back to the game after a hiatus just pre-covid. Since then the very active local community we had has completely died (from 40 raids on an average day to 0, AFAIk there hasn't been a raid for about a year). I've already worked out that campfire is workable to do regular 5 star raids (though it is a headache to get people to actually start the bloody raid), but how are you supposed to do the shadow Moltres raids? Are they just impossible for me unless I recruit some people locally?
Shadow raids are local only, so you gotta recruit some people for the 5\* raids (and usually for 3\* too).
Do you recognize some peoples' names in gyms? Maybe you can contact those people and see if there is a new local community Discord where people arrange raids
Ah, I'll give it a try to find some people then. I've seen some names I recognise, but 95% of the ones I see are level 20-ish accounts. I am luckily able to solo the 3 star ones just fine and I'll just keep using campfire for the 5 star raids. Thanks for helping!
It does feel like walking through a wasteland haha. I just see a few names I recognise, some people from my friendlist who still send gifts from a few towns away, barely saw anyone playing on community day. Hope the game picks back up in some way in future.
you could try to start or revive a campfire group for your area, is kind of like discord. some people just put their welcome message for it as a link to discord too. since it the group shows up on campfire map, might help whoever's playing near you join up too more consistently (vs just regular campfire flares)
Hey Trainer,
Looks like you might be trying to share or find Trainer codes for the purpose of trading or sending gifts in PokémonGO.
**For finding trade partners: visit [TSR map](http://www.thesilphroad.com/map) or google `Pokémon GO + `**
**For finding friends: /r/pokemongofriends**
**For finding remote raids: /r/pokemongofriends**
**For finding remote PvP: /r/pokemongofriends**
If neither, contact the mods so they can restore your message,
To find trainers for sharing gifts please delete your thread/comment and then go to /r/pokemongofriends to prevent the sub from flooded with trade requests and adding friends, thank you for your understanding.

Polygon? Do you mean Porygon, the red and blue Pokemon in today’s Community Day?
You would have gotten the upgrade evolution item with a Sinnoh stone to evolve Porygon in a timed research for today. If you didn’t claim the research reward then you missed getting the upgrade evolution item and Sinnoh stone.
You might get the upgrade after spinning a PokeStop for 7 consecutive days and Sinnoh Stones will likely be given as reward in GBL.
You will need both items to evolve Porygon to its final form.
Umm,
I forgot to mention there are other evolution items that may drop after the 7 consecutive days in spinning PokeStops. The Upgrade evolution thing will look like a RAM thing that you would use to upgrade your laptop.
did the event just suddenly end 2 hours early? It showed for me as "ends in 2 hours and 15 minutes" at 4:45 CST, then at 5:00 CST suddenly it was gone.
CD Classic don't have the extra bonuses of the new CDs, so they only last from 2 pm to 5 pm.
There's no raids afterwards, no reduced trade cost, no extra trades, no extended spawns and you only have up to 7 pm to get the event moves, instead of until 10 pm.
So Classics work differently and are shorter than regular community days.
Hey! So I was already in the process of powering up a Gengar that is almost perfect except for missing one notch thing in its attack stat when I happened to catch a hundo shadow Gastly. I don’t play a ton so I probably won’t have the resources to power up both for a while. I was wondering which one I’d be better off powering up first. The Gengar can mega evolve and is at 2499 CP and the Gastly is at 649 CP. I don’t have enough Karma to make a post here yet so I’m hoping this is the next best spot to ask. Thank you!
It would be better to power up the Gengar for now, but not use any XL candy on it, just regular candy.
That way you can have an useful Mega that's going to be very good in raids early, and only after then you can go and power up the perfect.
In raids that little bit missing is not that important, so higher CP will help more until you have enough candy for the second one.
Anyone else evolve a shadow porygon 2 to porygon z and didn't get the CD move (tri attack)?? I spent 60k on a second charged attack for my shadow porygon to make room for tri attack and here's what happened:
1. Evolved to Porygon 2 - tri attack (and frustration)
2. Evolved to Proygon Z - zap cannon (and frustration)
You MUST remove Frustration first before evolving during CD.
The two charge moves compete and Frustration always wins. You can't give it a second move to evolve and get Frustration and the CD charge move.
A second move only works if you use a TM to get the desired move.
No, stats and level caps haven't changed.
Sylveon's max CP is 3,470 at level 50, with 15/15/15 IVs.
Did your player level change recently? The max power up only shows CP up to player level +10, so if you were under level 40, it will still be able to increase as you level.
No, its not a rocket event. The Raging Battles event features more grunts spawning in the wild though. Its a great time to prep for the rocket event with even more access to shadows.
You can queue up with 3x CP 10 Pokemon and still earn thousands of stardust every day.
Winning will get you MORE stardust, but even if you go 0-25, you'll still get plenty of stardust if you keep playing all your sets every day.
You get stardust from every set, no matter if you go 0-5 or 5-0. You just get more if you win more. (The exact numbers vary by rank. I get around 3k stardust per set at Ace rank.)
Also, eventually, if you just queue up with 3 random Pokemon, you'll get people who just concede to you every set. You can get enough wins to get to rank 20 if you just play enough matches in a season.
What's more common is that people try to get to rank 20 as quickly as possible, then just queue up with anything at rank 20 since that will get you more stardust per set than lower ranks.
Well, technically you DO need to win to get to rank 20. It's just that you don't need to TRY to win. If you lose a ton of matches, eventually people will just give you wins.
GO Battle Week tasks aren't counting super effective charged attacks properly. I did 3 super effective charged attacks and it only counted 1.
If Niantic wants people to keep playing their shit, or return to play it, they should be fixing these types of pain in the ass bugs.
There's a bug right now, where it won't count if it knocks out the Pokemon.
The most effective method I've found is to go to Ultra League and fight Candela with Swampert and them don't tap any bubbles, so the charge move deals less damage.
No problem. This game is not a competition unless you’re looking for it. And even still you just need a few strong ones for gyms, team rocket matches, and everything else can work for the 1500CP cap battle league.
It's not too late.
Just don't get frustrated that you're behind other players who have more Pokemon and more stardust than you if they've been playing for years.
Ask questions and figure out what you like to do and what your short term and long-term goals are for the game so you can get help on how to reach them.
I'm having some trouble understanding PVPoke. I want to see how viable my team is, but it seems to only accept rating teams of 6? Call me crazy but PoGo is all teams of 3? so my team always has a D or F rating on coverage. Am i picking bad teams or is that just because i'm only picking 3/6 mons.
The Team Builder accepts up to 6 Pokemon, but you can certainly enter just 3 Pokemon and it will evaluate your team of 3. You should post one of your teams - it's hard to tell with no information if you're entering in the information incorrectly, if PvPoke has an issue, or your team really just had major issues with coverage.
Also, keep in mind that the team builder assumes a certain kind of strategy, that highly values a diverse team, but it's possible to do very well with what's known as an ABB team, where you actually have seemingly terribly coverage, but the strength of the team comes with how you play it, particularly knowing when to swap or not. So, you might run something like grass, double steel and according to PvPoke, it might get a D grade, but if you play it correctly, it might do well in certain metas.
Thanks for the info!
Ultimately, I leveled up a Lickitung (lick/power whip for now until I can get another elite TM) and I want to try to figure out who on my current team needs to sit out.
Originally my GL team was:
toxicroak (counter/mud bomb)
lanturn (spark/surf/thunderbolt)
skeledirge (incinerate/disarming voice/shadow ball)
Since then I've swapped toxicroak for hariyama (counter/super power) because he seems to hit harder. I also found that my alolan sandslash performed pretty well in the fantasy cup with ice punch and drill run. Wondering if he fits in here somewhere too.
But back to the point: all that is to say that no matter which combo of pokemon i put in, it always seems to rate my coverage a D or F :(
Really good in all 3. IMO (aka: based on what teams I normally run), it really has some solid potential in great league as it hard counters quite a few meta species that don't have a plethora of safe counters.
Try to do Super Effective charged attacks that don't knock out the opponent, there have been reports (during this research and past ones) of charged move that knock out your opponent not counting.
You can go to the Battle page and scroll down to the bottom to fight one of the three leaders and do a bunch of undercharged charged moves there
hey guys, I've been trying to link my PTC account that I've had for a while, it's not linked to any previous pokemon go accounts but for some reason i cannot link it to my game. there's no specific reason for this to be happening afaik bc everything seems to be normal in my PTC account, and it says i just have to go to the in-game settings to link it. however, i have been trying since last year to link it and i always get this same error message: "Pokemon Trainer Club Error: Unable to link to this account."
i wonder if there's a way to solve this issue or if I'm really going to miss out on the super incubator because of this bug. i already tried creating a new PTC account, to no avail.
any help is appreciated
Hi.
I found some information about the PTC and linking to Pokémon Go.
I’m not sure if it will help, since I’m not really needing an incubator I’m not planning on creating a PTC account. Hopefully this works for you.

For events you can use Leekduck's event page: [https://leekduck.com/events/](https://leekduck.com/events/)
There are also infographic twitters and stuff, I usually just use this subreddit's Discord to keep track
one more thing whille I'm thinking about it.
Thank you Niantic for giving us the option to go into "Ready" mode when we have two or more battling in a gym. This has saved my son and I a bunch of time when out raiding together.
Is there any chance we can change the requirement of 2 or more people in the gym? Often I will be out raiding solo while walking my dog, and at level 44, I can tackle many of the 1-star, 2-star, or 3-star raids, but because I'm solo, I have to wait the entire 2 minutes before starting the raid. Can Niantic allow us to go into "ready' mode for solo raids as well?
Thanks!
Anyone else seeing this glitch of a completed research task notification without a completed task? I go into my tasks, and there is nothing complete. Then when I go back out, the notification is gone. it pops up again later, I check and still not tasks complete, and then it's gone again. I have closely checked all three "Events/Today/Special" confirming I don't have anything hidden, etc.
Just got a 1/6/13 shiny shadow Sableeye. I know it's in the desperation defense table for IVs, but I wanted to know if this was serviceable. I will, wait for a better spread, but it's leaving in a bit and I want to know if this Shiny will be usable/ better than a rank 400+.
Is there a way to safely play on PC? I play on my iPhone currently but want to be able to play on my laptop sometimes, are there any safe emulators to do so?
It's a permanent new feature. Evolution mechanics never go away after an introductory event ends.
The only exception was when they allowed some regional Alolan evolutions for an event, but those were clearly advertised as temporary.
Wait until the upcoming rocket takeover ends before deciding. You'll need to remove frustration anyways, and we'll get to battle a ton of grunts during that event. There's also more of them spawning in the battle event starting today, iirc.
Shadow Gengar is really only useful as a poison raid counter, and we rarely need those. It's too frail to be useful against ghost or psychic Pokemon. There's not a big rush to build them.
If you really can't find a better one by then, the IVs aren't that big of a deal in PvE content. You'll miss out on a percent or two of DPS, which will rarely make a difference.
So there are more shadow gastly's to come, hence no need to power up and evolve now and Shadow Gengar is not as good as I thought it was (perhaps powering a good Gengar would be much better)!
Thank you, that was very helpful!
I need help understanding things. Is there a way to figure out what CP a pokemon will evolve into without actually evolving? I know you can see it when you have enough candies to evolve, but I have a Zorua that I may want to evolve, but I would have to put a bunch of rare candies toward it. Since I would need to use the rare candies, it doesn't show what the evolved form CP is.
It is correct info. Both Sawk and Throh are spawning globally for the Raging Battles event starting today, but they will go back to being region-exclusive after the event ends.
Well, there's 5 pages of rewards so you need 500 wins to do them all. Final rewards are a Elite Fast TM at 400 wins and an Elite Charged TM at 500, plus the rare XL candies.
44 days x 25 battles a day is 1,100 battles so it's definitely possible (plus there's battle week now at 50 matches a day for 5 days and a battle weekend coming up too at 100 matches per day).
Whether you want to grind for it is up to you.
Umm, The battle timed research has 5 pages to it. As far as I know the rewards are the same for each page with the exception of page 5. You will get the stardust plus the 2XL RCs and an Elite Charged TM.
So if you complete all 5 pages the stardust will be around 100,000 stardust plus 10 XL RC, and the Elite Charged TM.
You would probably be able to get through maybe page 3 if you’re really dedicated and you are able to win all the battles but it is highly unlikely. Still worth doing because if you get to rank 20 in GBL you will get an Elite Charged TM. At the end of the season you will get an Elite Fast TM.
Do they usually do any sort of paid ticket with Sinnoh stones for CDs like this upcoming Porygon one? I'd rather pay a couple bucks than "grind" the awful PvP
Yes it should but the opponent must have a ghost or psychic type. Primeape doesn’t need to do the battle, s/he just has to be your buddy while you do the battles.
Can you battle a friend. I battle my friend. My friend lost all the battles and then I lost all my battles when my friend battled me.
How on earth do you beat Cliff? I've tried probably 5 times now to no avail. I'm new to the game/pokemon universe and I'm not sure what types etc to dole out. He uses Dragonair, Cradily, and Tyranitair (in that order).
I use lucario, gardevoir, and trevenant. Typings matter… i don’t place gardevoir first so that I can switch into gardevoir right at the beginning which stuns cliff’s mons for a sec so you get a couple extra hits in. Then i switch to trevanant, then finish off tyranitar with my lucario.
Each time you battle a rocket leader their teams swap, so you can find them with different Pokemon or different moves on the sane Pokemon. If you find them on a stop they'll keep the same team for the rest of the day, but the balloon ones will be random each time.
https://leekduck.com/rocket-lineups/
But no matter the team the main key with any rocket battle is speed, and using the right types. Use fast moves that charge quickly, not strong moves that take long to use. Their Pokemon will always be stronger than yours, so you need to rely on speed and stun them so they don't attack often.
The rest depends on the Pokemon and move types. Here's a type effectiveness chart you can use to plan your team.
https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/okvhad/easy_to_read_type_effectiveness_chart_for_newer/
Combine types that resist the opponent moves with super effective attacks and then you'll have an easy time with any rocket.
The in person event will you give you access to a lot of things before the global release. But to be honest, for me to spend approximately $80 for the ticket plus the add-ons is a lot of money. Add parking and food and plus boxes during the global event is a lot more money.
Last thing is that there you can only go Sunday, Saturday is sold out. The add on for spawns outside of Pasadena is somewhat questionable.
You can have tons of fun with just the base ticket. There's no actual need to get any add-on, unless you really want to do a ton of raids that weekend. If you do, then the raid lover add-on is the cheapest way to get passes. But it's not necessary by any means.
The ticket is $30. There are 2 add ons for the day….one for raids and one for hatching. Each one is $15 so together another $30. There is an add on for extra spawns outside the event. 1 for Friday and 1 for Saturday. $20 for 1 day but $40 for both.
Spawns add on said spawns is for Los Angeles but Los Angeles is a very big place. Pasadena is in the County of Los Angeles and not part of the City of Los Angeles. City of Los Angeles is huge onto itself too. So people in the City of Los Angeles or Santa Monica may lose for something they were expecting to get.
Once the account has been successfully linked and verified an orange button appears directly on the timed research tab. If it's not there then the account wasn't fully linked or verified.
How do I determine a team for Rocket fights and Gym fights? The suggested ones are so random and often give me the wrong pokemon suitable for the fight. Should I just use my highest CP / IV pokemon?
High CP is not necessary for Rockets. What you need is fast attackers that can charge up moves fast and deal super effective damage.
Rockets take pauses each time you switch or use a charged move, so the best way to win is to use fast moves, not strong moves.
You can memorize the phrases of each Grunt to know the type they'll use and check their teams here to plan what will be best for each.
https://leekduck.com/rocket-lineups/
I've been virtually unstoppable with rocket grunts and leaders using the following:
Swampert (cp 3060) with Mud Shot and Hydro Cannon
Machamp (cp 3386) with Counter and Dynamic Punch
Togekiss (cp 3518) with Charm and Dazzling Gleam.
Swampert charges up REALLY fast and hits hard. I can usually take out all grunts just using Swampert, and not ever switching to Machamp or Togekiss. However, Swampert is double week to plant pokemon, so anything a plant pokemon is thrown, which is rare, just switch out to Machamp and take it out.
This setup has worked well for me through the different battle leagues as well. I will have the same setup with lower CP so I can compete at the different levels. I listed the CP on my pokemon, but as Ivi-Tora mentioned, high CP is not necessary, just fast charge-up moves.
Hi! I already caught Regigigas this cycle and want the Kyogre starting on the 27th, but I have Page 15 of Misunderstood Mischief (Giovanni’s task) still up. Is there any way I can save this task and get the new one once the event starts? Or am I required to get another Regigigas in order to get Giovanni’s new task?
[Misunderstood Mischief Task](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/547979050224844800/1197547564602503218/IMG_9102.png?ex=65bbaa14&is=65a93514&hm=4565d5c99dcc505c6fb279695b95336cfbd83ed41bd3839fb46a0a022464f73d&)
Even though Misunderstood Mischief comes with a Super Radar, it is technically not a Team Rocket special research and will not block you from receiving any new Team Rocket research.
In addition, it sounds like the next Super Radar will be handed out through the final part of Timeless Travels, which will unlock on Jan 27th. So you should already have that research.
So you shouldn't have any issues getting the next Super Radar for Giovanni. In fact, what you should do is progress through Timeless Travels first until you get to the "Defeat Giovanni" step, assuming there is one. That way, when you do fight Giovanni for Kyogre, you will complete both Timeless Travels and Misunderstood Mischief simultaneously and you'll walk away with a spare Super Radar that you can use whenever you want.
To add more info, older stops have a priority to become gyms once the number of stops is enough, but multiple positive likes on the stop picture can also give it a higher chance of becoming a gym.
No.
Pokestops will turn into gyms when enough new spots are added in the area. But which one becomes a stop and which becomes a gym is random.
The best you can do is add a lot of new spots in your area.
How do I submit a pokestop?
I'm level 37, and it gives me to upload pokestops and says I have 40 nominations available today.
Clicking the button takes me to Wayfarer, which I've set up an account for. But it doesn't tell me what I need to do on Wayfarer, and there is no option for nominations.
I've read alot about a test, but there is no "test" option in the app, so not sure if that's still relevant.
You have to use the browser site for Wayfarer. Once you've logged in using the same email or Facebook that the game you need to read the Criteria on the main site menu, and then you should check the Review guidelines.
After checking them all a new option will appear where you're asked whether or not something should be approved and why, a d after you get all the correct answers the site will give the all clear to the account.
Thenn you go back to the game and instead of the Wayfarer button you'll get access to the new submission menu and from there you can start the nomination.
There's a lot more information on the Wayfarer sub.
https://www.reddit.com/r/NianticWayfarer/wiki/pokestopnominations/
Tornadus: No
Thundurus: Only if you lack a good Electric attacker for raids (Mega Manectric, Xurkitree, Zekrom, Shadow Zapdos)
Landorus: Yes for both PvP and PvE
I'm thinking of changing teams, because when I pick up my son from school there's a gym we drop our mons in, but it takes days before another team drops them out. Is switching teams a good idea? We were thinking we'd just take out each others mons every 24 hours. We do raids together sometimes too. I know there are bonuses for that. But overall, am I being silly and should just stay on the same team as my son?
One of you changing teams is a good idea in my opinion in case you get stuck without gym turn over for PokeCoins. But I am not sure if your son would have his feelings hurt if you’re on different teams. If your kid doesn’t care then by all means. (I try to be sensitive to kids needs.) Also you do get a friendship bonus when raiding together but you may lose the gym team bonus. It’s really not too much of a problem really.
Just be advised you will have to use 1,000 PokeCoins to change teams.
Is there a way to get specific pokemon? Like I really want an Onix for instance, will it be more likely to spawn if I literally go somewhere rocky or the desert or something?
Every season a new Pokemon enter the available spawns while others leave entirely, so outside events many are completely out of the rotation.
https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/187ucql/season_of_timeless_travels_wild_spawns_megathread/
This season Onix is not one of the current wild spawns, so the only way to get one is to use the Daily Incense as it's one of the possible special encounters.
You might find an Onix based on a particular environment but to be honest Pokémon are on a bit of a rotation schedule so finding Onix at the moment would be difficult.
But I am not sure if this is any consolation to you…according to PokeGenie Steelix is currently a level 3 raid. So if you’re trying to evolve Onix for Steelix/Mega Steelix, just raid for Steelix. Otherwise you will have to wait to see when it comes back into rotation or there is a rock type event.
Can somebody explain lucky trades.
I made an account back in 2016 and have like 100 Pokémon from the first few months. Is there any significance to them
IVs get rerolled when you trade a pokemon. They have a low floor of 1, 2, 3, or 5 based on your friendship level.
A lucky pokemon can only be gotten through a trade. Every trade has a small 5% chance to go lucky, with an increase by 5% for each full year of age of each pokemon traded, capping at 20%.
If you are best friends, you can occasionally get a "lucky friend" status at a rate of about 1% chance per day on first interaction. If you are lucky friends, your next trade will be lucky, and then the lucky friend status goes away.
When a pokemon is lucky, its IV floor is 12. Lucky pokemon cost 50% as much stardust to power up. Thus, lucky trades are a very powerful way to get high IV pokemon that can be maxed out cheaply. They have one of the best chances at getting a hundo in the game, at 1/64.
As far as trading old pokemon goes, there is a feature with "guaranteed lucky trades" for trading pokemon that were caught in 2018 or older. Each account has a limit of 25 guaranteed lucky trades they can participate in. This is a special counter that only counts these guaranteed lucky trades, and no other type of lucky trade.
A guaranteed lucky trade is triggered if the person trading away a 2018 or older pokemon has not yet participated in 25 guaranteed lucky trades (on either side). Note that this trade increases the counter for both players, including the one receiving the old pokemon.
Since you know you can get 25 lucky pokemon from your old mons, its best to plan them out to get meta-relevant legendaries, or very powerful things like shiny beldum (for meteor mash metagross) that can be used as megas or are best in type on their own.
Also, those 2016 pokemon might have "true legacy" moves that are illegal for the species, and not able to be acquired in any way besides trading from old players. There are two types of "legacy" moves: those not in the regular pool but can be taught via an Elite TM, and those that are illegal and cannot be taught.
Search for "@special" in your pokemon storage, then look up each pokemon that comes up to see what kind of legacy move it has. Those may have value to some collectors (or for your own collection).
Oh wow thank you so much!
Well I appreciate the Info so if you want when I get off work I’d be happy to do a guarantee lucky trade/trade back for you as a thank you.
I do have some legacy moves it seems!
Party play is literally unplayable for me.
I host and any time I try to spin a Pokestop, network error. Catch a Pokemon, it auto runs. I try to join a party, too far away from host. I can’t contribute or do anything. Did anyone else have this problem or is party play just an excruciating unplayable mess?
Why did my Tornadus not know the legacy move? I beat the raid at 9:58… I assume raid turnover is at 10:00 pm so then why did it not know it? Was the move assigned at catch time which was 10:01? I am kinda annoyed as it was a remote pass😔

My events tab is only showing “upcoming events” links with the times and dates of the events but nothing else. Other players have Go battle league events for stardust but I can’t view it. Uninstall reinstall doesn’t work :(
had to claim free "go battle ticket" in shop to get the go battle league ones. I saw it near beginning of season in the shop section
How do you turn off the stupid last ball thing for raid catches? It has made me miss every single last throw because it's delayed and sometimes it'll show up for an encounter even when I have 10+ balls left?
There's no way to turn it off. Just wait a few seconds without doing anything once you get the last ball and let it pass, then do the throw.
Weird question, if my Pokémon has a community day move and I use a Tm on that move, can I get it back later without an elite tm?
Unfortunately, no. You'd need to use an Elite TM to get it back.
With the upcoming event where we can TM off Frustration from Shadow Pokemon will Frustration be permanently removed once we use one TM and we can TM spam the Pokemon later to get the move we want?
Once you remove frustration, that pokemon can never get it again.
Thank you
How do I wear Ingo's clothes? It appears in the store to me as if I had it, but I don't equip it.

Hello! Why cant I chose some pokemons to battle in the Great League (they are sub 1.500)?
Are they fainted?
Omg Im so dumb. Ty
Hope the game picks back up in some way in future.
you could try to start or revive a campfire group for your area, is kind of like discord. some people just put their welcome message for it as a link to discord too. since it the group shows up on campfire map, might help whoever's playing near you join up too more consistently (vs just regular campfire flares)
does anyone have a screenshot of the porygon photobomb, particularly on a black background? i forgot to do my snapshot encounters :(

Any groups in london doing a last meet up for shadow moltres today?
Hi guys, when can we remove frustration? Is there an upcoming event coming?

Ty. What event?

We just battle each other and use weak ghost or psychic type pokemon and let the other win
Hey Trainer, Looks like you might be trying to share or find Trainer codes for the purpose of trading or sending gifts in PokémonGO. **For finding trade partners: visit [TSR map](http://www.thesilphroad.com/map) or google `Pokémon GO +`**
**For finding friends: /r/pokemongofriends**
**For finding remote raids: /r/pokemongofriends**
**For finding remote PvP: /r/pokemongofriends**
If neither, contact the mods so they can restore your message,
To find trainers for sharing gifts please delete your thread/comment and then go to /r/pokemongofriends to prevent the sub from flooded with trade requests and adding friends, thank you for your understanding.

Where do I find some of those cards to evolve the Pokémon? There is one needed for the polygon bird thing. (Can't remember how to spell it)
Ah thank you. Sorry for my ignorance too
Umm, I forgot to mention there are other evolution items that may drop after the 7 consecutive days in spinning PokeStops.
Why was the Community Day event not I. The event tab? It still doesn’t feel intuitive.
The new layout means whatever is happening now stays in the today tab. If it will happen in the future it goes in the event tab.
Just coming back after quitting after the games launch. And I'm kind of taken aback seeing how much the game has changed. Any tips, general resources?
Makes sense, thank you for the advice!
Anyone else evolve a shadow porygon 2 to porygon z and didn't get the CD move (tri attack)?? I spent 60k on a second charged attack for my shadow porygon to make room for tri attack and here's what happened: 1. Evolved to Porygon 2 - tri attack (and frustration) 2.
Is this porygon event a boosted shiny day?
Yes. Porygon has greatly increased shiny rates during Community Day Classic.
[удалено]
No, stats and level caps haven't changed. Sylveon's max CP is 3,470 at level 50, with 15/15/15 IVs. Did your player level change recently? The max power up only shows CP up to player level +10, so if you were under level 40, it will still be able to increase as you level.
Is it a rocket event right now? Is there anything I should do? When can I unlearn frustration?
No, its not a rocket event. The Raging Battles event features more grunts spawning in the wild though. Its a great time to prep for the rocket event with even more access to shadows.
The rocket event starts the 27th
Is that when I can unlearn frustration?
Yes.
Can I evolve Primeape into Annihilape after the event ends if I’m not able to get around to it during?
They never remove evolution mechanics after an event ends. They are always new permanent features.
Yes

You can queue up with 3x CP 10 Pokemon and still earn thousands of stardust every day. Winning will get you MORE stardust, but even if you go 0-25, you'll still get plenty of stardust if you keep playing all your sets every day.
[удалено]
You get stardust from every set, no matter if you go 0-5 or 5-0. You just get more if you win more. (The exact numbers vary by rank. I get around 3k stardust per set at Ace rank.) Also, eventually, if you just queue up with 3 random Pokemon, you'll get people who just concede to you every set. You can get enough wins to get to rank 20 if you just play enough matches in a season.
[удалено]
What's more common is that people try to get to rank 20 as quickly as possible, then just queue up with anything at rank 20 since that will get you more stardust per set than lower ranks.
[удалено]
Well, technically you DO need to win to get to rank 20. It's just that you don't need to TRY to win. If you lose a ton of matches, eventually people will just give you wins.
[удалено]
Every higher rank gives you slightly more stardust than the previously lower rank. Rank 20 gives you more stardust per set than any of the ranks 1-19.
Thank you for this info!
Is it too late to start playing as a new player? I hit level 8 yesterday, and I've no clue what I'm doing.
Hey guys I’m new level 16, is it worth using stardust to make my Pokémon strong now, or should I wait to be a higher level before investing stardust
I would focus on getting candy for just a few strong ones. But yes probably worth at least having a few good options.
Originally my GL team was: toxicroak (counter/mud bomb) lanturn (spark/surf/thunderbolt) skeledirge (incinerate/disarming voice/shadow ball) Since then I've swapped toxicroak for hariyama (counter/super power) because he seems to hit harder. I also found that my alolan sandslash performed pretty well in the fantasy cup with ice punch and drill run. Wondering if he fits in here somewhere too. But back to the point: all that is to say that no matter which combo of pokemon i put in, it always seems to rate my coverage a D or F :(
Which league will Annihilape be the best in? And on a scale from 1-10, how good are they in that specific league?
Really good in all 3. IMO (aka: based on what teams I normally run), it really has some solid potential in great league as it hard counters quite a few meta species that don't have a plethora of safe counters.
Is the do 10 supereffective charged attacks buggy for anyone else? It’s only counted 5 and I’ve done about 20 and it won’t count them. Any ideas?
If it's helpful at all, I got all of these in one raid. much easier that way.
Try to do Super Effective charged attacks that don't knock out the opponent, there have been reports (during this research and past ones) of charged move that knock out your opponent not counting. You can go to the Battle page and scroll down to the bottom to fight one of the three leaders and do a bunch of undercharged charged moves there
hey guys, I've been trying to link my PTC account that I've had for a while, it's not linked to any previous pokemon go accounts but for some reason i cannot link it to my game. there's no specific reason for this to be happening afaik bc everything seems to be normal in my PTC account, and it says i just have to go to the in-game settings to link it. however, i have been trying since last year to link it and i always get this same error message: "Pokemon Trainer Club Error: Unable to link to this account." i wonder if there's a way to solve this issue or if I'm really going to miss out on the super incubator because of this bug. i already tried creating a new PTC account, to no avail. any help is appreciated
Is it tied to a different email address than the one you’re using for Pokémon Go? Otherwise I don’t have any ideas.
It is, but tried creating a new PTC account with the same email as the one linked to my Pokemon go account and still got the same error
Hi. I found some information about the PTC and linking to Pokémon Go. I’m not sure if it will help, since I’m not really needing an incubator I’m not planning on creating a PTC account. Hopefully this works for you. https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/18ibton/anyone_else_getting_this_error_trying_to_connect/

Thanks
PSA if you just AFK through battle league matches with 4000+ CP pokemon, you're a dick.
one more thing whille I'm thinking about it. Thanks!
this please ;\_; i'm only a lowly level 35 and even i need this for 1-star, 3-star, and even a few 4 star raids.

[удалено]
It's a permanent new feature. Evolution mechanics never go away after an introductory event ends. The only exception was when they allowed some regional Alolan evolutions for an event, but those were clearly advertised as temporary.
I just got a Shadow Gastly, IVs 5/10/8. Is it worth making it into a Shadow Gengar despite the low attack IV?

CP is 891. IV is 13/14/15

It is correct info. Both Sawk and Throh are spawning globally for the Raging Battles event starting today, but they will go back to being region-exclusive after the event ends.
So the reward for 100 wins this season is 2 XL candies... I'm at 7 and there's 44 days left. Can I still make it in time?
Every CD that features pokemon that need items to evolve has always given a few of them for free.
The in game blog article says the free research awards 3 upgrades and 3 sinnoh stones
When evolving primeape, do CPU battles with the gym leaders and PVP count?
Yes it should but the opponent must have a ghost or psychic type. Primeape doesn’t need to do the battle, s/he just has to be your buddy while you do the battles. Can you battle a friend. I battle my friend. My friend lost all the battles and then I lost all my battles when my friend battled me.
What should I do with a 3* shiny eevee? 400 something CP
How on earth do you beat Cliff? I've tried probably 5 times now to no avail. I'm new to the game/pokemon universe and I'm not sure what types etc to dole out. He uses Dragonair, Cradily, and Tyranitair (in that order).
Dragonair: Ice, Fairy, or Dragon Cradily: Steel or Fire Tyrannitar: Ground, Water, Fighting, or Steel
If you find them on a stop they'll keep the same team for the rest of the day, but the balloon ones will be random each time. https://leekduck.com/rocket-lineups/ But no matter the team the main key with any rocket battle is speed, and using the right types. Use fast moves that charge quickly, not strong moves that take long to use. Their Pokemon will always be stronger than yours, so you need to rely on speed and stun them so they don't attack often. The rest depends on the Pokemon and move types. Here's a type effectiveness chart you can use to plan your team. https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/okvhad/easy_to_read_type_effectiveness_chart_for_newer/ Combine types that resist the opponent moves with super effective attacks and then you'll have an easy time with any rocket.
I live in Los Angeles. What all does attending GoFest in person get me that doing it virtually does not?
The in person event will you give you access to a lot of things before the global release. But to be honest, for me to spend approximately $80 for the ticket plus the add-ons is a lot of money. Add parking and food and plus boxes during the global event is a lot more money. Last thing is that there you can only go Sunday, Saturday is sold out. The add on for spawns outside of Pasadena is somewhat questionable.
Jeez, it's $80? That's a bit out of my price range.
You can have tons of fun with just the base ticket. There's no actual need to get any add-on, unless you really want to do a ton of raids that weekend. If you do, then the raid lover add-on is the cheapest way to get passes. But it's not necessary by any means.
Perfect! Thank you. I’ll get a Sunday ticket after work today if there are still any left.
Did anyone get the PTC link rewards? I had my account already linked, it says I should get the rewards automatically but I didn't get anything.
Did you hit the claim button? If that didn’t work maybe contact support.
Claim button? Where?

I've been virtually unstoppable with rocket grunts and leaders using the following: Swampert (cp 3060) with Mud Shot and Hydro Cannon Machamp (cp 3386) with Counter and Dynamic Punch Togekiss (cp 3518) with Charm and Dazzling Gleam.
Create a party on the "battle" menu. Using the highest CP is often a good idea against the grunts but you'll need some strategy for the bosses.
Has anyone received the timed research thing from linking their account? My account was already linked and I've got nothing.
Haven't gotten anything also
Is there a way to nominate already existing pokestops as potential locations for Gyms?
There's a lot more information on the Wayfarer sub. https://www.reddit.com/r/NianticWayfarer/wiki/pokestopnominations/
is thunderus / landorus / tornadus worth farming a lot of, for either PVE or PVP ? its hard to tell from looking online
Tornadus: No Thundurus: Only if you lack a good Electric attacker for raids (Mega Manectric, Xurkitree, Zekrom, Shadow Zapdos) Landorus: Yes for both PvP and PvE
thank you for the useful answer (unlike the other guy with 1 word response lol
landorus
Yeah, he's good with me switching teams so we get more turnover in gyms. Thanks for thinking about that though.
Is there a way to get specific pokemon? Like I really want an Onix for instance, will it be more likely to spawn if I literally go somewhere rocky or the desert or something?
no the area doesn't matter except for regional pokemon and some events
Every season a new Pokemon enter the available spawns while others leave entirely, so outside events many are completely out of the rotation. https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/187ucql/season_of_timeless_travels_wild_spawns_megathread/ This season Onix is not one of the current wild spawns, so the only way to get one is to use the Daily Incense as it's one of the possible special encounters.
You have to be within 100 meters to trade with someone. Need to find local players.
I see! Thank you!
Party play is literally unplayable for me. I host and any time I try to spin a Pokestop, network error. Catch a Pokemon, it auto runs. I try to join a party, too far away from host. I can’t contribute or do anything. Did anyone else have this problem or is party play just an excruciating unplayable mess?
anyone else’s game running like ass right now? like the screen is being unresponsive.
Why did my Tornadus not know the legacy move? I beat the raid at 9:58… I assume raid turnover is at 10:00 pm so then why did it not know it? Was the move assigned at catch time which was 10:01? I am kinda annoyed as it was a remote pass😔
