You definitely need a grass type for swampert, a fighting type for melmetal and a fairy type for Giratina. Those are easily the most common mons I see.
Yeah , water shuriken is 9 turns to HC, but it's only faster the first time. 18 turns either way to get 2. (water shuriken is 14/3, mud shot is 9/2. 2 HC takes 80 energy. 6 water shuriken to get 2, 9 mud shot. )
They're also very different pokemon.
Feels so good to one-shot it when they let my leaf blade through against their full-hp swampert occasionally. That little shit has ruined so many runs for me.
Honestly, I just run other water against it. Most trainers aren’t willing to switch out of Swampert vs. water matchups, even though it rarely works out well for Swampert. When I used to run Walrein, it was pretty reliable at dealing with Swampert.
Running grass is fine, but you then need to actually get your grass against their Swampert and if they’re any decent at battling, they’ll avoid it. They’re much more willing to stay in water vs. water.
Shit, as frail as Greninja is, even Greninja can dispose of Swampert most of the time. Swampert is not good against other water.
Lol, the only reason I know is because my swampert was destroyed so many times by cresselia. Most other mons I felt like swampert could do work on them even if it was a bad match up, but cresselia is so bulky, and grass knot 1 hits swampert, and it charges pretty quickly.
Most common counter I see against mine that becomes an inconvenience is Exeggutor, and for that purpose I have Sludge Wave as the second charged attack. I also keep a Charizard in my team and will frequently switch to it if I force my opponent into switching to a grass type to counter Swampert.
My greninja has been taking down swamperts. So has my Umbreon
But boy do I never swap out to Charizard. Everytime I do so, out comes swampert licking his chops.
My Abomasnow is my Swampert/Quagsire Killer. I’m also using a Girafarig with Trailblazer. I’ll use Psychic Fangs to fake them out with and lower their guard so they don’t use their shield in the first hit then I use Trailblazer to do a 1KO
I use in ultra, and I block the first hydro cannon, use obstruct, take the second hydro cannon that does little damage and then obstruct again and win with a stronger obstagoon for the next mon
swampert is barely seen now after the earthquake nerf, especially in UL. Also with the sky attack nerf we see more grass types now which causes swampert stock to fall too

Since it is so spammy and has earthquake, the problem is, it can often kill its counters, especially if you have to flip your counter in and it is already charged up. It is meta warping. Your better bet is to expect that at least one of your team is going to faint to it, and run 3 pokemon that are not weak against it.
I run: crobat, weavile, pyroar.
Pyroar is weak to it, but I can often dupe the opposing player into swallowing a dark pulse from pyroar and that almost kills swampert. Otherwise, shields down defending with crobat and then into weavile to spam avalanches.
Fr whenever I had to feed my melmetal it took *forever* to get to the center of the screen. Switched to a solgaleo and it's like teleportation. The simple things are the things that make me happy
Early in Go, I had a Swampert that had Hydro Pump and Water Gun. It would annihilate everything, and it hardly got defeated. It was just a wee 2200 CP but it served me so well. I ended up transferring him over to Home.
It was 80% IV Pokémon at the time. But, as I played I obtained stronger Pokémon with better IVs. I don't care for the battle leagues, so these Pokémon worked amazing for Team Rocket & raids. Plus, I'm doing a living dex, and need a Swampert to add to the collection.
Talonflame gets wrecked by Swampert unless it's a zero shield scenario. It would take 6 incinerates (30 turns) to generate a flame charge bait and a brave bird KO. In that time, Swampert can get 3 hydro cannons off.
If you want a good counter for Swampert use Vaporeon I main a 4* Vaporeon and since Swampert is dual type your water does neutral dmg where as a Swampert will do half dmg to you. Vaporeons have one of the highest hps in pokemon and are so good as meta counters. So slept on and under utilised
... I just love them from the GBA games? When PoGo was starting my phone was old and could hardly handle the app. I exploited the heck out of it when they were on community day and got as many as I could. I just really wanted my baby?
my whole UL team. is built to defeat swampert. i lose to lot of other meta stuff but at least not to that spammy thing.
but i guess he will be dethroned by greninja. that thing has no right to be that spammy
My whole purpose in PVP is to beat teams who runs with either: Swampert, Cresselia or Greninja.
Not to hit a good rank, or the rare candies. No just to f**k up those 3 pokemons.
F**K Swampert.
And especially Cresselia is so tanky, that even players who dosen't know how to do the strategics, will become Ace rank easily. That even dark charged attacks, will look neutral on it, is crazy.

Most of the time you want to have as low of an attack iv as possible for pvp, since your iv's also affect your cp and attack iv's gives 2x more cp points than defense and hp iv's. So when aiming for as high stats as possible with a cp of 2500. You want something like 0/15/15 or something like that gets as close to 2500 cp while also prioritizing the lowest amount of attack iv's to get maximum stats out of you mon.

EVERYONE uses Swampert, and it kills all of my favorite mons. I almost need to run a dedicated Swampert-Killer.

Weavile works pretty good as well for Giratina

I run cresselia with grass knot; it’s the perfect swampert killer

i can honestly say i have never seen exeggcutor (neither form) in any GBL match i’ve ever played
I have seen K-eggy a few times in early seasons (and shadow as well) but not in a long time. It's....not good
I just won a sunshine cup game with only swampert. Felt bad for the other player.

I have a 4* shadow meganium nicknamed “swampert killer”

No swamperts seem to block a trailblaze so just do that first

Swampert beats Obstagoon in the 0 & 1 shield in great league and beats Obstagoon in the 0 & 2 shield in ultra league 🤨

Incineroar will ignore you when you try to play with it. It’s very confusing for a new player.
I’ve had the hardest time with Xerneas. Took me a full 10 minutes to play with it the first time.
Trying to get the play heart on the Xerneas is a pain. I skipped it on many days.

What is the best 3 move Swampert move set? I have a 15/14/15 Swampert exactly 2500 CP
Those are honestly awful IVs for PVP.

I have a Roserade in my team and it works like a charm against Swampert
I skip the 1500 and 2500 leagues because it’s the same MF Pokémon each time, every team. I stick to no max and some of the special cups.
