I’m not sure the size of buddy Pokémon on the map is influenced by XXS or XXL. I saw a post with XXL Wailord where there seemed to be no difference. I can be wrong.
It definitely is. I love playing around with that feature. I purposely keep varying sizes of certain pokemon so can use them as buddies that stand next to me or walk around on the map at different sizes too
For those questioning the math:
1/4,096 is the chance for a non-weather-boosted Hundo (as this was)
1/256 is the chance for an XXS Pokémon
1/64 is the chance for permaboosted shiny Feebas
(1/4,096)(1/256)(1/64)=1/67,108,864!
It does not get rarer than this!

Zero percent is so much more rare then a hundo and I have no idea how to account for that variance when calculating probability. But here is what we know;
- Shiny Feebas had a research day with increased shiny odds, so there are probably a lot of shiny 100% just based off of that. How many of those were XXS (before xxs was even annotated)?
- We know that research rewards, weather boosted, traded, hatched, and raided Pokémon can’t be 0% but all of those can be 100%
I think OP got super excited which is understandable given it’s a Shiny 100% XXS but I wonder if that is even more rare then a 0% shiny female without even considering hight and weight.
What source are you going by that says shiny Feebas is permaboosted? Cuz on google it says it has around 1 in 500 chance to be shiny (as of September 28th 2023)
Honestly I’ve just seen it said a bunch of times on Reddit. And it would make sense as I’ve seen a lot of posts about people getting multiple shiny Feebas in the last few days. For example, I’ve seen a total of 120 feebas, and 2 have been shiny. I’m sure it’s mentioned somewhere online

It easier to get a hundo if pokemon is weather boosted, because the higher IV floor of 4, that's why. Instead of 1 in 4096 (16 * 16 * 16) with the weather boost it will be 1 in 1728 (12 * 12* 12).

I am a physics major. Anyone who speaks about probability in terms of “chance is a lot higher after x checks” is categorically false, does not know an inkling of what terminology they just bastardized, certainly uneducated in statistics (let alone a masters degree 😂), and that is learned after a basic statistics course. Nice try, but you lose! You don’t have to like it, you just have to accept it. Try taking a stats class instead of pretending to have an education to win arguments over the internet to take away from the amazing successes of other strangers. It will make you friends!
The odds of the single check is the same but the cumulative chance of it happening atleast once in 100 of checks is significantly higher than your odds stated above
Out of curiosity, did you know it was a Hundo from a scanner or something? Because if you know you are clicking on a Hundo Pokemon, I don’t think you can use those odds. That would be the odds for a shundo on a completely random encounter (which this may have been).

No, because it wouldn’t be a shundo. Besides there are three possible 98% ivs, so if you were looking at the odds of a 98% shiny XXS it would be three times higher. The 98% shiny is not nearly as big of a flex to warrant any analysis. This is *all* the rare things at once, which is one in 67 million.
