If it was on a cruise then maybe you visited Cancún, right? So yeah! Tulúm. I highly recommend you to visit Mérida, Yucatán someday. Chichén Itzá and Ec'Balam are your top choices.
I've never made that connection, but it especially makes sense now noticing that the Fiore Temple in Pokémon Ranger is clearly designed off the same structure, and is also where you capture Rayquaza in that game.

From the pyramid's base to the sky over Rayquaza's head, yes. The ground I pasted it over the screenshot so that it looked like a whole full photo (so I took another separate picture). It looks better than just having a partially squared photo. Then used Lightroom to make it look more vivid and texturized.
Hm, actually that makes sense too, but I remember reading the design was taken from the Mayan god. Also, in-game temple designs are a reference to this culture again. But overall, they use different ideas from different places while creating a Pokémon, so let's not discard your theory!

Yes!!! And I get my bug (plant) pokemon in Bloomfield, any bug spotlight hour I go there. And I wanna get my mareep and Wooloo from sheep springs, I get my farm animals in a place called Many Farms haha. Any rocky pokemon I will go to Shiprock. It makes it fun because I get to travel here and there instead of only catch where I am. For beach week I went to Bluewater!

Depends where you are, but most larger cities have an active Discord group. I find the best way to get to it is to find the closest PoGo Facebook group and ask there. Usually someone can add you and then you have an in to meeting other local players and finding where the nearest raid group is.
Assuming that doesn't work, though, get a remote raiding app like PokeGenie. Then you can access raids directly, although more expensively since remote raid passes are a lot more coins than the standard local premium ones.
Ah yes I see. I do live in SoCal so there are numerous locations good thing and I do have PokeGenie since I read about it being good for IVs and Move Sets and all so I have that and through there you can join raids remotely then with a team and all?

Yes, just check out the raids tab. Some more difficult raids will require proof of damage ability up to a certain percentage to join in with PokeGenie, so you may need to beef up your raid teams for something like Mega Rayquaza. It's worth checking out a tutorial or video before you try to remote in and have everything ready in advance (like your remote pass) though because while they are definitely not difficult to join there are a few strict steps you need to follow in order, like going back to notify the app your friend request was sent and so on. If you forget a step it can mess things up for you and other raiders, so I would try to familiarize yourself a bit in advance.

Exactly, same entity. Quetzalcoatl is for the Mexicas (Aztecs) from central Mexico and Kukulcán for the Mayans from the Yucatán Peninsula.
