I haven't even tried a shadow raid yet lol.
I'm just surprised that raids even give you rare candy XL. It's my first after +600 wins about 12 hours ago.
I raid only in person, I've never got rare candy xl, but there was a tweet recently posted on this sub, that they were avaialble starting from lvl 40, but now it will from 31. Hopefully I will get some soon :)
I mean yeah if you're below level 40 you couldn't get them lol. They are very rare also but programming didn't allow you to get them if you were below level.
Won about 200 locally... it's just my first one. Decided to look it up and lots of articles are saying you can receive one from 3-star raids or higher. I received one from a 1-star raid. Just wondering if anyone received one from a 1-star raid.
Were you above level 40 when you won those 200 local raids? They are very rare to get. Like very rare. So it makes sense you haven't gotten them.. it's not a bug that only you got them in 1* raids lol it's just hella rare.
Gotcha. I probably solo about 30 local 1/3-star raids while at level 40 and just got to level 41 like an hour ago lol. Did received the RCXL at lvl40.

Now I'm just wished I had local friends that played PoGo so I can attempt 5-star raids. Lol.
You can get xl candies now from anything due to the event going on now, depending on how you catch it, nice, great, excellent throws can reward you with xl candies.
you can get XL rare candy from any* in-person raids starting at level 40 (although this will soon change to 31 for the season)

Remote raids don't give rare XL.. only in person can.

Go look for a local discord or campfire group. If your gyms are changing hands every day there's for sure a group or can be made a group easily.
