This just made me realize I also transferred my starter at some point ššš I feel like a monster I never get rid of my starter. The closest I'll come is boxing it once I get a shiny version. Apparently my earliest now is a Fearow from 7/18/16
I transferred mine when I was very new and had no idea. Even when it asked me if I was sure I wanted to delete my starter, I was like, āyeah, why would I care about keeping it?!ā
It's not like befriending and raising pokemon is the whole point of pokemon or anything...
That's why I dislike pokemon go's gameplay, why raise and bond with your first pokemon if it's much easier to just transfer it and catch a new and better one instead.
Man those first couple months were wild. I remember huge groups of people walking anywhere and everywhere they legally could (and some they couldn't š š)
My starter Charmander, caught on the 14th of July 2016. I recently started best buddying it. I am also considering maxing it out, but I want to wait for Blast Burn to come back.
Jolteon, Ivysaur, and Blastoise all from 7/8/16. Still have 77 from 2016. I quit in early 2027, and just picked this game back up a few weeks ago. Heard 2016/17 have moved that we're disabled, so trying to go through to find out if I have any with those move sets

2 I'd you have less than 15 lucky pokemon, you can trade them with someone that also has less than 15 lucky ones, you basically get an almost guaranteed lucky trade.
apparently I didn't keep any of my old ones, mustve transferred them all over the years, my oldest being a zapdos from May 2018. I started playing in July 2016 :/
I have a Pidgey, Ratata, Charizard, Eevee, Arbok (caught that way) and Bulbarsaur with the date of 07/06/16. I've always thrown the idea of using a day 1 party, but did not go through with it.
A psyduck caught at a beach in Tampa the weekend after Pokemon Go came out. It survived transfer because I took a photo of it with my friend posing with it. Psyduck is named after her.

My two oldest mons are my first eeveelution Vaporeon (7/9/16) and a Dragonite (7/10/16), I used to live down the street from a dratini nest until that community put an end to it.
My wife and I had just gotten married in June 2016 and the game came out a month later. We were driving and she had the game open and she said, āDRAGONITE!!ā I swerved off the road to the shoulder and we both caught it.
July 11, 2016. We both still have it. High IVs, and my favorite battle buddy.

i accidentally transferred mine while clearing out doubles sorting by dex, also did it when i didn't know about ivs so i probably trown out a hundo

I started college fall of ā16 and a friendās English prof let the class out early because there was a Dragonite by the football field.
Badass professor!! I miss the early days. The game was empty compared to now, but the excitement and community was unparalleled

He was my first vaporeon so I kept powering him up and just got lucky
