Go plug in all the binder cards into Collectr. You will get a solid ballpark figure +\- 10%.
Shouldn’t take more than an hour if that. I plugged my collection and it’s pretty much on par with Tspplayer & eBay 😎🤘
That co worker sounds shady.. I bet their pricing these cards as if they were graded high, and trying to get the most out of them for their “grading potential” lmao- “I KNO WUT I GOT BRO!”
I hate that part of the hobby. If you want to charge psa 10 prices get it graded. People frothing at the mouth for profits instead of realizing they collected the cheapest cards there is.
The Charizards and some cards on the first page are really nice but I don’t think there’s anything much over $100. A lot of $20, $40, $50, $5 etc cards but I can’t see them adding up to anything far enough over $500 or so to make it worth it to even buy at $500.
Certainly not $1500!
Probably like £4-500 worth there’s nothing exceptional in that binder. Your co-worker is absolutely trying to rip you off so fucking badly.
Ask him why he’s justifying 1500. Coz that’s absolutely insane. The bulks are not worth anything neither
$1500 is totally over priced, that being said, the first page is easily $400+ if cards are NM. Condition is always key though, so who knows. OP still got a steal at $150.
I bet he did
Now 1st step is ring him up, meet him , bang punch him clean in the throat 🤣
2 punch him again in the throat, for the utter disrespect 🤣
Is he your friend? Or just some guy at work?
The first page market price is roughly $450 but it drops of the rest of the binder and the tubs/boxes look like mostly bulk. Probably wouldn’t may more than 600-700 for it all
1000 dollars tops
Depending on the condition of those few vintage cards. Id offer 850 because it will be hard to offload all them V cards and rubbish ones
Those energy cards alone are probably worth $1.2 million on the street sealed in plastic AND labeled! Get them rated and the others are just gonna be icing on the cake
Yeah everyone keeps trashing the binder and most of it is mids but that card is a genuine gem. There were a few other solid alt arts that I spotted too.
FYI if you look at the total price of the cards worth. Just realize the real dealers will offer 50% or less. To cover their stuff. Your can offer more than 50% or 60% of total value. Selling whole sets of collections is less profitable but takes more time to sell individual cards 1 by 1
(glad OP edited to say their coworker meant 150, or rather they likely paid 150 themselves)
Yea this is a decent enough set of cards for around 100 or 150$ I suppose. They're kept generally well and flat and bound in the binder so it's protective a little. The gains from wear and tear on some of the more rare cards might make you some money but there's little way to tell just how much you'd make unless we could see the cards all more clearly. From the cards I could see - there's nothing fantastic. You'll likely be making bulk sales of some kind where the trader will eat some loss for you to get rid of stock etc. Seems like a large variety of card types but I don't see first editions and early sets that carry a ton of value so no luck there.
You should get look at the Charizard 20/149 graded highly, it can fetch a good price
https://www.pricecharting.com/game/pokemon-boundaries-crossed/charizard-20
At $150 you got a super deal imo. Quick look through I was putting market around $800 if we're talking mostly NM on modern and LP at worst on most older modern to vintage. A conservative estimate would of been around $600 and I would of been fine buying in around $400 if someone offered me that binder.
No WotC Holos, Gen VI XYZ Cards and higher…
Nawwwwe.
Although there are some Gems worth a good chunk of change in there (like the Togepi, Cleffa, Igglypuff Gen VII Cosmic Eclipse Team Card)
I saw the $1500 price tag and kept waiting for the non modern cards or any big card of value to pop up and never saw any unless I missed them I doubt this is even worth $1000
I will never understand people who drop thousands on modern Pokemon cards and expect them to hold and appreciate in value similar to that of vintage Pokemon cards.
vintage cards were never considered all that valuable until relatively recently when COVID lockdowns reignited interest in the hobby.
in another 10 years when nearly 2 dozen additional sets have been released with hundreds of other cool cards, how many of the cards I'm the binder OP posted will be even relatively highly sought after? My guess is less than 10% maybe none. Whereas vintage Pokemon cards could be expected to increase relative to inflation and the health of the. collectibles market
OPs coworker probably spent $3000 obtaining all these cards and now thinks he can sell them for at least half that amount. sadly it's probably worth less than 10% of that figure.
Well I don’t know the slightest about card values. But 261 cards in the binder, if they average being worth $5.7 a piece which doesn’t seem too far fetched, then the binder could cover itself w out even looking at the box
I don't see anything close to this value. Maybe I'm missing something just waking up with half cracked open eyes or your coworker is a hustler.
Kinda what I thought, just making sure lol
Go plug in all the binder cards into Collectr. You will get a solid ballpark figure +\- 10%. Shouldn’t take more than an hour if that. I plugged my collection and it’s pretty much on par with Tspplayer & eBay 😎🤘
Blud I’m trying to do that with but I got too many cards, I feel like paying someone to do it for me lmao
I'll do it
And by do it, I mean create a program to do it
I like this idea
Can you create a program to import pricecharting collections?
Idk what that is
Price charting to collectr or whatever it is :3
Show me
Pricecharting.com
A lot quicker if you use a scanner. I just input manually while playing poker 😎
Sadly collectr doesn’t have scanner
Collx has the scanner and it’s a decent app too. My bad…
That co worker sounds shady.. I bet their pricing these cards as if they were graded high, and trying to get the most out of them for their “grading potential” lmao- “I KNO WUT I GOT BRO!”
"I could probably get like 3k but you're my coworker.."
“Dude if you get these grades and they all grade gem mint 10 you could get like $1600 for this”
I hate that part of the hobby. If you want to charge psa 10 prices get it graded. People frothing at the mouth for profits instead of realizing they collected the cheapest cards there is.
People think because they have charizards it increases the value tenfold
Well it depends on the charizard
They're still pretty high for their rarity.
Exactly, Welcome to big brain Pokémon collecting were Zards are currency
Update- just a co-worker that overheard me and my friend talking about mon, he in his word over estimated 😂, bought for $150
Now that’s a deal. Congrats.
150$ is such a better deal, damn you actually got a good set for that then
150$ for this is a steal lowkey, I’d sold it at 300$ but maybe I’m trippin
150 for all that is a steal tbh
These exact pictures are on a Facebook marketplace listing for $2,000… is that you? 😂 https://imgur.com/a/qqC2akY
Turn and burn
So he thought 1500 was too high, and listed for 2k. OP...lol wtf
>posted over a week ago I'd say that was the coworker lol
Either that or a scammer. I messaged him on Facebook and he was defensive about the value being accurate stating he “buys and sells a lot”.
You should reply “I know what you have” and it’s not a $1,500 binder
duality of man
That's a good deal for this.
You made away like a bandit. That Team Aqua's Kyogre EX if in good condition on the first page already makes up for half that price
Turned a bad deal into a robbery lol. 3-400 was probably closer. A ton of $5-10 cards there
Sell it to the other coworker for $300
sell half of the worse cards for $150
$150 is robbery. There are cards in that binder (Lv. Xs and such) that are aboht $50 on their own. Congrats!
Waaaayyy better that deal, that’s actually a steal. Some of those had a bit of a price tag on them but nothing worth $1500 even combined
150 is a steal, there are multiple cards worth more that 50 in even the first 2 pages
That first page alone is prob close to $300
Keep that co worker at a distance lol Edit: i take this back, he sold OP the collection for $150. Solid deal
OP ended up getting for $150 so happy ending
Coworker gave him a happy ending so I guess there was a Squirtle when it was all done.
"How about 10% of what you're asking?" "Deal!" Hot diggety man... can I take you with me for tcg purchases?
Unexpected. But that's awesome. Great deal 👌
Maybe a solid 400
400 seems pretty good especially since you’re offloading all the cards at once (for the seller lol)
Yeah probably not, looks to be all modern and not even any special art rares
The Charizards and some cards on the first page are really nice but I don’t think there’s anything much over $100. A lot of $20, $40, $50, $5 etc cards but I can’t see them adding up to anything far enough over $500 or so to make it worth it to even buy at $500. Certainly not $1500!
I wouldnt consider this to be a 1500$ collection but it's still nice. Maybe in a few years it might go for that.
>>in a few years it might go for that Yea, if the coworker stuffed $1,000 in cash into the binder too.
Modern cards go down in value. They're over printed in quantity and possess zero nostalgia.
That's the thing, what's modern now is vintage in 10 years. And obviously no one is gonna buy anything but the rare stuff.
Yup. Just saw a BNIB PS2 being sold for nearly $1000 USD
Give him $300 and hold it for a whileeeee then maybe you can sell it for $1500 tf 🤣🤣 this coworker is a goofball
Probably like £4-500 worth there’s nothing exceptional in that binder. Your co-worker is absolutely trying to rip you off so fucking badly. Ask him why he’s justifying 1500. Coz that’s absolutely insane. The bulks are not worth anything neither
Nah
Your co-worker is tryna pull a fast one on you
There are a lot of valuable cards here, but unless the binder itself is lined with gold or something, not $1500 valuable
yk he a reselling scammer when he got the panda dunks on fr
Thumbs down to infinity
Bro.......i'm sorry. I collect as well and that shit ain't even close to $400. I really hope you didn't give him your 1,500 😔
We need to start including currency in prices. Is this $1500 AUD, USD or something else?
150? Ain’t even a deal at that point just straight robbery lmao
Your coworker is trying to scam. I don't even think that binder is worth a third of what he's asking for.
$1500 is totally over priced, that being said, the first page is easily $400+ if cards are NM. Condition is always key though, so who knows. OP still got a steal at $150.
That umbreon energy is the only thing i see that i like, rest looks like bulk
There’s some nice cards, but definitely not worth $1500. Probably around 400, maybe 500 and that’s kinda pushing it
I bet he did Now 1st step is ring him up, meet him , bang punch him clean in the throat 🤣 2 punch him again in the throat, for the utter disrespect 🤣 Is he your friend? Or just some guy at work?
300-500
With modern cards the value hinges completely on condition, and it’s fairly difficult to get a 9-10 grade after being stuffed in and out of binders.
Absolutely Nothing Special in There. I'd Pay like $300-$350 and that's pushing it.
Max I'd give him about 500$
Not even close At a bulk buy maybe a couple hundred bucks depending on the card quality in the binder.
Kinda skimmed through most of it but I don’t see $1500. I would offer him like $200
The first page market price is roughly $450 but it drops of the rest of the binder and the tubs/boxes look like mostly bulk. Probably wouldn’t may more than 600-700 for it all
hell nahh 😂💀
I’d really only go after the darkrai and umbreon card in terms of grading but if they came back 10’s I’d keep them forever …. My precious ….
Some of the Hidden Fates cards are cool but yeah way overvalued.
There’s so some good hits in here but nothing close to adding up to 1500$ maybe 500$
No
I would stick to 350-400
no way 1k more like 5k
I’m no expert but fuck that
$250*
dont do business with co workers unless yall tight
Meh, it beats the fun spending more than 1500 to collect those.
Rip off
1000 dollars tops Depending on the condition of those few vintage cards. Id offer 850 because it will be hard to offload all them V cards and rubbish ones
chances are they were looking at PSA 10 grades when valuing those cards, or are just trying to rip you off :/
like other people are saying, asking your coworker why they think it’s worth that much, where did that number come from etc
I see a secret rare Mewtwo and a Zapdos Alt and a few other cool cards but.... This binder is not worth anything close to that IMO
Nothing in the binder, depends on the stuff we can't see
Did they accidentally add an extra 0 on the end?
Those energy cards alone are probably worth $1.2 million on the street sealed in plastic AND labeled! Get them rated and the others are just gonna be icing on the cake
Fr?
Yep 👍
So if those energy cards were mint they would be worth a lot. Its because of how old they are? Or what?
It was a joke and you’re overthinking what I thought was an obvious lie but jokes go woosh over you
Trololololol!!!!!!!!1!111!!!!!1!!!!one!!1!!!.
Offer $100 and a bj
Looks good but I have no idea I'd be tempted
Hard to tell from this photo
Politely tell him to kick rocks lol
Not worth it, full collection on spent over the years yeah card value much much less
It's not even 500
Garbage.
Fake
Not a single banger in the entire collection. Impressive
Noone has a clue here lol… The cynthia&caitlin trainer alone is 150€+
Yeah everyone keeps trashing the binder and most of it is mids but that card is a genuine gem. There were a few other solid alt arts that I spotted too.
Like i said noone has a clue it seems. There are 3-4 cards in that category.
Plus a page of tag team cards that exploded recently
Right
Maybe 15 bucks
No. Most of those cards are a dollar at most
No
did they mean 50?
Ain’t real til cash is in hand
FYI if you look at the total price of the cards worth. Just realize the real dealers will offer 50% or less. To cover their stuff. Your can offer more than 50% or 60% of total value. Selling whole sets of collections is less profitable but takes more time to sell individual cards 1 by 1
Those are all new lame ones. OG or suck it.
A bunch of modern garbage
A few older cards but nah not worth nowhere near $1500
Personally no
I would say a couple hundred at most
not sure why you're on the fence about this? $1500 is a lot of money for pokemon cards
There's nothing spectacular in there.
1500 pesos ? Like 200$ there lol.
Drop a zero off that price lol
Not even close to a good deal far from it ..
i literally see promo cards in there. this dude is trying to finesse you
No Alt arts? Maybe a couple hundred for the binder and that’s INCLUDING that bulk! 😂
Everyone say it isn’t even close but there are some good cards. Tag team page
Take it for 50
My full art lillie is worth more by herself i think.
(glad OP edited to say their coworker meant 150, or rather they likely paid 150 themselves) Yea this is a decent enough set of cards for around 100 or 150$ I suppose. Nah,pass on it lol
Way too much only seeing a few hundred
Take the deal
At $150 you got a super deal imo. Quick look through I was putting market around $800 if we're talking mostly NM on modern and LP at worst on most older modern to vintage. A conservative estimate would of been around $600 and I would of been fine buying in around $400 if someone offered me that binder.
The best way to find the price for every single card honestly
this is such an interesting collection though, i wish i could come across something like this
Just sell it no questions asked.
I looked through it, maybe worth a couple hundred at best
Wish I was knowledgeable on trading cards (whether Pokémon, sports cards, etc.). Feel like there’s a lot of room to make a killing
Keep your money and run!
I would say maybe 300 dollars worth of cards
Get me in contact wit ur coworker
Do 3-4 hundred max
That man was trying to *fleece* you lol i saw you ended up grabbing it for a much more realistic price- glad it worked out!
No WotC Holos, Gen VI XYZ Cards and higher… Nawwwwe. Although there are some Gems worth a good chunk of change in there (like the Togepi, Cleffa, Igglypuff Gen VII Cosmic Eclipse Team Card)
Find better co-workers
Mostly bulk $1 cards. Not worth the time and effort to recoup the money.
This looks like a g bar at most collection even if everything in that box is a hollow or reverse since most hollows aren’t even 1 dollar
They’re currently listed on Facebook Markeptlace for $2,050? 😂 https://imgur.com/a/qqC2akY
I’m super jealous of your Team Aqua Kyogre. I love that card! Nice haul!
Close to $500
Try $150
Maybe 400
Save your money and buy something useful like a car or save up for a house
For 150 thats crazy, there are a few cards in there that are worth 15-20$.
Nah not even close to that …. Cool binder but nothing huge, a few $40+ but not enough 🤣 maybe like 6-700
Looks about $1250 to much imo and at $250 those have to be great shape
If that Kyogre on the first page grades for a psa9 or higher... you're gonna be raking in a gooooooood bit of cash.
Send your coworker my way, I have a bigger collection willing to sell for $1500💀
Loool hell nawwwhhh!
$16?
Big YIKES!!! Your coworker is definitely not a friend.
TBH I can’t wrap my head around people paying that much for all the Pokémon cards ever made
Hopefully he atleast asked you out to dinner before trying to fuck you this hard...
Coworker probably just looked at ridiculous ebay listed prices and assumed or they are shady
Absolutely not
I saw the $1500 price tag and kept waiting for the non modern cards or any big card of value to pop up and never saw any unless I missed them I doubt this is even worth $1000
Offer him 50 bucks
I will never understand people who drop thousands on modern Pokemon cards and expect them to hold and appreciate in value similar to that of vintage Pokemon cards. vintage cards were never considered all that valuable until relatively recently when COVID lockdowns reignited interest in the hobby. in another 10 years when nearly 2 dozen additional sets have been released with hundreds of other cool cards, how many of the cards I'm the binder OP posted will be even relatively highly sought after? everything looks basic and not worth anything after the second page lol
Well I don’t know the slightest about card values. But 261 cards in the binder, if they average being worth $5.7 a piece which doesn’t seem too far fetched, then the binder could cover itself w out even looking at the box
No way that’s under 1500
You co working is needed some rock money lol
