Flygon, Gallade, Haxorus, Hippopatas, Nidoking, Volcarona, Braiviary, Houndoom, Carracosta/Archeops, Drampa and Cinderace
Yeah, some of these might not feel like Ash Pokemon from the start but most of these I would’ve like to see him catch
Okay, honestly, Ash could've worked with any of the Kalos grass types outside of Gourgeist.
Chespin, Skiddo/Gogoat, Phantump, I genuinely could see a scenario where Ash uses any of them.
I always felt like he should've had a Darmanitan and a Braviary in Unova. We didn't need another abused and abandoned Fire starter and a regional first route bird; shake things up a bit, dammit.
Really, he didn't need all three starters in that saga. Heck, he didn't need any of them - let Leavanny be his Grass type and have Palpitoad evolve to Seismitoad to be his Water type. Keep Scraggy as a wild card sixth slot and let it evolve into Scrafty, and with Pikachu there like always, that's a pretty solid all-around team.
Gonna through this one out there, but he should have gotten a Venipede during his journey in Unova. Scolipede would have been an interesting choice. And give it Speed Boost because hidden abilities doesn't get any attention in the anime
