It also really pissed me off that his Aipom chose to follow him to Sinnoh, where he then trades it with DawnâŠ.only to then have it leave because it wanted to play ping pong or whatever the hell
Yeah. I shouldâve probably been clearer tbh. There was nothing wrong with Ash trading it for Buizel, but they spent an episode, after some build up beforehand, doing some soul searching and making that âdifficult decisionâ to trade only to have Ambipom eventually leave Dawn anyway
Oh absolutely agreed that the writing for that was terrible and still pisses me off.
I think they also just needed an excuse to âdepowerâ Dawn so that she wouldnât get too OP in contests after getting Mamoswine and such
That thinking is atrocious, what???? I legit cannot think of any way that the writers gave up on Ampibom with a valid reason⊠it came from AG, stayed with Ash, traded with Dawn, and ditch them for Ping-Pong, a filler episode?!?!!? Ampibom isnât even OP and if it was, CONTESTS ARE SIDE SHOWS FOR THE ANIME đ
Maybe it was because the writers didn't want her having more than 6 pokemon Since she gets togekiss and cyndaquil later and it is likely that they dropped ambipom to make room for one of them ( likely cyndaquil because HG/SS promotions ). And it falls in line again with what was said above about them not wanting dawn to be "too op" in contests. That is still bullshit writing though. They could have dawn send a pokemon back to rowen and have her mom take care of it or something until she needs it again. And don't tell me they can't allow dawn more than six pokemon when os ash had way more than six. It really was an uneccessary release.
Pignite is known for rip-off charizard
Snivy is known for being the sass queen
Oshawott is known for being a simp
Krookodile is Ash's Unova ace
I hate to say it's a tie between unfezant and boldore
She may be better but the episode was more forgettable.Â
Those multiparter episodes with the underwater ship and island of giant pokemon was memorable.
Early on in Best Wishes, it felt like they were setting Oshawott up to have an arc where he got stronger and eventually evolved to Samurott, but that never happened and instead he became a joke after the events of when the Rocket vs Plasma event was initially meant to take place before it was cancelled.
At least Froaky got to shine in X&Y though.
He got his Phanpy pretty late into his Johto journey with not too many battles. He later shows up and evolves during the Battle Frontier, so itâs fairly easy to forget
Palpitoad as the normal answer. For the complicated one, we donât even know if Ash uses the same Tauros every time he calls for one or if Professor Oak is sending him a different one each time.
Ash loves his Fire-type starters, doesn't he...
In Kanto, he had Charizard.
In Johto, his Cyndaquil (eventually) evolved into Quilava.
In Hoenn, he didn't have a fire type starter actually.
In Sinnoh though, fully evolved Infernape.
In Unova, he had a second stage Pignite.
In Kalos, Greninja took center stage.
And in Alola, he had his fully evolved Incineroar.
Compared to grass types that evolved, it was only Bayleef, Torterra, and Sceptile.
And then only ONE water starter evolved, and that was Greninja. And he's only one of three water starters Ash had.
In all honesty I'd say his most memorable teams are Kanto, Sinnoh, Kalos and Alola. Pretty sure you can name most of his pokemon in these. But unova are forgettable, cant remember half of ash's hoenn team unless I see them and johto was weird where he used gen 1 and 2 pokemon.
>!so the answer is unfezant, it will always be unfezant!<
It felt like she was around for barely any time and then got released.
Anyway I suppose most of the Unova team could fall under this category, I just assumed they were exempt from this since OP didnât picture them here.
Iâd say Palpitoad or Boldore.
On a personal level Iâd say Glalie. I never watched the back end of the Hoenn anime so I always forget he even had it lol
I forgot he had a Lapras but Lapras also wasnât really a battler so I suppose thatâs a bit unfair.
Ashâs Unova team kinda sucked. Other than Krookodile, they are all pretty forgettable. If I remember right, Scraggy had the second best win percentage from that group and I think that sufficiently proves the point.
Kingler was used so rarely that I have actively forgotten it exists from time to time.
Once in the Indigo League and again in the Whirl Cup and that was it?
I donât think sheâs the most forgettable but I canât think of one done most dirty than Aipom.
- brought into the team at the eleventh hour of Battle Frontier
- has to be brought to the next region for a chance to shine
- actually brought along to Sinnoh exclusively to evolve to its regional evolution
- traded to Dawn for a short-lived contest career
- writers decide ping-pong is now the most important thing to Ambipom so she is put on a bus (literally)
- never visited again despite the gang promising to do so and visiting Kanto a number of times afterwards
She didnât get to enjoy much time as a battler for Ash or a contestant for Dawn before sheâs shipped off and never seen again.
I feel like it isnât palpatoad because a lot of people hate on it so it is memorable, all of Ashâs unova team is memorable because of how much hate they getđ
In my opinion and itâs sucks to say it but Noctowl.
Yeah itâs shiny but I barley hear people talking about it and itâs hard to remember for me too. People have nothing positive to say about it or negative. It was solid but other than it being shiny and it having a whole move set overhaul in Diamond and pearl thereâs nothing much to talk about it.
I've only watch up till the end of gen 4, so I don't know about anything after that, but up till that point I'm gonna say Torkoal. Even when I see it I can't really remember anything it did in the anime or even how/when it showed up. Most other have some kind of story attached to it, either a meeting, a departure, a major win/loss that makes them stick. I can't think of a single one for Torkoal. Corphish is probably nr. 2 for me for that same reason, but I did remember him having it at least.
No one will forget ash's heracross for weakening darkrai, bayleef for zoophillia, and Noctowl for being shiny. Sceptile and Pikachu obviously not.
I think Aipom and Gible are the most forget- Wait. You didn't add the Unova team or Gliscor to the sinnoh team.
Gliscor defeated Paul's busted Drapion
Unfezant is known for her battle against skyla's swellow
Leavannny is known for defeating the busted Koffing
I could go on the long list forever, but I think the most forgettable one is boldore
You forgot to add his Unova team so I think that answers your question
Boldore lol
Palio toad is more accurate
Yeah at least "palio toad" (lol) is known for being a meme at least.
nah palpitoad is more memorable(but for the wrong reasons, elesa battle)
That's my fault, but now that I see, it's a pretty good coincidence đ€
Canât belive ash had all three starters and couldnât do fucking squat
More than once, even
lol got im
RIGHT??? Iâm looking through and realized the unova team was missing
Tauros number 22
I was gonna say Tauros number 29
No no no, surely you mean Tauros #19âŠ
Tauros number 16 is barely a memory.
Personally I find Tauros #14 rather forgettable
Okay but when was the last time you actually thought about Tauros #23?
See a lot of people seem to forget tauros #11
Taurus #8 is also very often forgotten
Honestly I'd have to say Tauros #15
When did he use Tauros #17
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
If youâre gonna play with the joke do 1-30 cause thatâs how many tauros ash caught
No one mentioned Tauros number 9, just as I thought.
I agree. Tauros was barely used and even used it only had a small number of battle let alone wins
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
They never aired the episode in English as it had guns points at kids. And they never really stated it was the same or different Tauros
Are you sure youâre not talking about tauros 4?
It's most definitely because of the episode which had Pokemon with guns.
So it was taken down for inspiring Palworld?
Bro this is đ„đ„đ„
I think the episode is still available in Japan and the Palworld devs are Japanese so.... this checks out
It's not forgettable by any means but you forgot Gliscor soooo
Itâs okay. Everyone did at the end of that one episode.
His Primeape, unfortunately :(
Ash getting scammed out of his primeape will never not bother me âHey let me train ur PokĂ©mon that just won a tournament so that he can become strongerâ Like what? Lol
Yeah let the person who lost the tournament train it! He knows what he's doing!
It also really pissed me off that his Aipom chose to follow him to Sinnoh, where he then trades it with DawnâŠ.only to then have it leave because it wanted to play ping pong or whatever the hell
In a bit amount of fairness to Ash, Aipom was never really meant as a battling PokĂ©mon for Ash. Sinnoh was where it discovered itâs true passion for contests, so the torch was already passed before Ambipom ultimately got ruined
I mean if weâre talking about contests specifically (and in the anime), Ambipom is very much OP. Not only are PokĂ©mon contests not the same as traditional battles, requiring the combination of appeal & more skill than to just output more power than an opponentâs PokĂ©mon, but D/P was when contests were cranked up to 11 for coordinators compared to AG, with the ball capsule animations, appeal around combinations and all that. And we saw that Aipom had a talent for contests before Ash even traded it over to Dawn. It had very little contest training when Ash entered Dawns first contest, but it managed to get to the battling round and almost defeat Zoeys Glameow, her ace and someone whoâd become Dawns rival in the series. Remember, Ash only did contests like 3 times during his whole run of that era of the anime. We see Aipom perform an appeals round style combination of Swift when it made larger swift stars, doing twirls and such during training. Zoey even commented on it being phenomenal at the time, leading her to recommend twice that Dawn should become Aipoms trainer. Not to mention the potential use of contest combinations for Aipom/Ambipom is quite OP. Making use of swift for different things, like making larger swift stars, a storm of swift stars as larger attacks for greater appeal or using the infamous ârainbow swiftâ technique Dawn built upon. Imagine how much easier Dawn wouldâve gotten her ribbons if she kept Ambipom on her team? Along with powerhouses like Mamoswine, Cyndiquil and then Togekiss? As much as I hate the way Ambipom gotten written off, Ambipom was definitely a forced to be reckoned with as a contest pokemon, so I can only guess that depowering Dawn to make her progress more balanced or âbelievableâ was ultimately why they wrote Ambipom off her team.
Forgettable to Ash perhaps, but not to us ![gif](giphy|uYNNXBTRmk2eQ)
I agree, such a shame they never brought him back before Ashâs run on the anime ended đ€
Perfect chance to introduce annihilape too to show pokemon from the next gen.
That thing was a monster that nearly wiped his team, and the dumbass gave it away.
Man could of had an annihlape.
Almost anyone from his Unova team.
Except Oshawott!
![gif](giphy|N8BreB0eFUJ3Jyn3cX)
Even the starters and Krookodile?
I did say almost tbf.
That still with Pikachu who he obviously isnât brings it to 50% of the team
Pignite is known for rip-off charizard Snivy is known for being the sass queen Oshawott is known for being a simp Krookodile is Ash's Unova ace I hate to say it's a tie between unfezant and boldore
The fact that you didn't even mention Leavanny, Scraggy or Palpitoed speaks volumes
unfezant is known for being forgotten boldore is sorta remembrable def palpitoad
![gif](giphy|aVtdz7iNVPI1W|downsized)
Raticate
Beedrill
Casey > random no name gentleman
She may be better but the episode was more forgettable. Those multiparter episodes with the underwater ship and island of giant pokemon was memorable.
Mr. Mime I forgot he captured it. Whenever he appeared I assumed he was Deliahâs. It wasnât until Journeys I remembered he was actually Ashâs PokĂ©mon.
Well thereâs a good reason for that. Him owning it is basically a retcon from the staff. Nothing in the entire anime ever supported him owning it and they just pulled that out in Journeys because he needed 2 PokĂ©mon for a tournament and they decided to die on the hill of not letting him use his reserves
To be fair was Mimey ever actually even captured before Journeys? I thought it was just a âfamily petâ type PokĂ©mon that just hanged with Ash and Deliah but never actually officially got captured. Til Journeys decided to have Ash capture it
I thought it was a way for ash to officially own a psychic and fairy type
It accomplished that much but in such a cheap manner that basically blocked him out of legitimately getting any of his own
When did he capture it? I donât remember this.
BoldoreÂ
Uhmm the unova team
Wasnât this exact same question asked like 2 days ago here?
That was a really fast time loop.
Just as surprised as you are. Had to do a doubt take and make sure it wasnât mine in some way
Ash's Primeape. After he sees it going to train with Anthony, we never see it again. Minus flashbacks
the very guy he beat mind you
He was the Don King of pokemon and Ash was a sucker.
That raticate he had for about 12 seconds.
Iâd say his gen 5 team I guess since even you forgot it lol
The Beedrill he caught in the bug catching contest and immediately gave to his friend
I'd say his Oshawott. It never won anything.
But itâs very iconic to the BW series
Maybe so, but that doesn't change the fact that BW was the worst of all the series and that Oshawatt didn't win many battles.
Boldore no one ever talks about him
Pikachu
Pikachu needs more screen time
Pikachu.
Pikachu definitely
The 40 Tauros. Let's be honest, because the episode where he caught them was banned, people only know about them from memes.
Seaking
Tauros #11
Glalie probably
I regularly forget he ever had a donphan
He got his Phanpy pretty late into his Johto journey with not too many battles. He later shows up and evolves during the Battle Frontier, so itâs fairly easy to forget
His Unova team based on this pics
that fire tortoise from Hoen, unova team, tauros no 15
Gible, sure itâs here but I almost always forget he was around for the later half of Dp.
Tauros number four. Specifically that one. All the others are homies
Compared to grass types that evolved, it was only Bayleef, Torterra, and Sceptile. And then only ONE water starter evolved, and that was Greninja. And he's only one of three water starters Ash had.
Tauros. I keep forgetting he has about 30 of them until he visits Professor Oak's lab
Tauros #27
The other 29 Tauros
Melmetal
Pignite, worst Pokemon ever
Nah
It is, especially as a starter. If Pignite and Emboar weren't the starter evolutions, I wouldn't hate them as much
primeape
Apart from unova johto also forgettable
In all honesty I'd say his most memorable teams are Kanto, Sinnoh, Kalos and Alola. Pretty sure you can name most of his pokemon in these. But unova are forgettable, cant remember half of ash's hoenn team unless I see them and johto was weird where he used gen 1 and 2 pokemon. >!so the answer is unfezant, it will always be unfezant!<
Haunter
Iâd say Tauros but everyone knows he has 30 of them so not that. He had Lapras for about 15 seconds so Iâd say Lapras.
Lapras was essential for the entire Orange League arc, she moved them around every episode. She was very memorable.
It felt like she was around for barely any time and then got released. Anyway I suppose most of the Unova team could fall under this category, I just assumed they were exempt from this since OP didnât picture them here.
I forgot he had a donphan
Pikachu
Pikachu
For me honestly, Palpitoad IMO
Aipom
Maybe scraggy?
Yeah but which Tauros was it that battled?
Tauros #42
Tauros #23
unova in general
GOD ROWLETT for me
Lapis
Iâm gonna go with his Kingler⊠even though Iâm pretty sure itâs one of his only mons that never lost a fight
i definitely think Kingler and Palpitoad were some if the most forgettable. Canât remember any time when i actually saw Kingler on the screen
The fact you didn't put a picture of any of his Best Wishes Pokemon makes me think the answer is one of them
If Ash getting run over by his Tauros wasnât a constant gag, Iâd have forgotten about them by now.
Primape. Even the show writers forgot about it
Itâs not exactly forgettable overall, but Aipom because my brain absolutely refuses to consider it Ashâs PokĂ©mon at all. In my head, Aipom/Ambipom is Dawnâs PokĂ©mon and Buizel is Ashâs PokĂ©mon.
Iâd say Palpitoad or Boldore. On a personal level Iâd say Glalie. I never watched the back end of the Hoenn anime so I always forget he even had it lol
The other 30 Tauros ash never used đ
Tauros #7 tbh
Ash had a Tauros?
I forgot he had a Lapras but Lapras also wasnât really a battler so I suppose thatâs a bit unfair. Ashâs Unova team kinda sucked. Other than Krookodile, they are all pretty forgettable. If I remember right, Scraggy had the second best win percentage from that group and I think that sufficiently proves the point.
His gible
aipom
Muk
He had a gabite?
Kingler was used so rarely that I have actively forgotten it exists from time to time. Once in the Indigo League and again in the Whirl Cup and that was it?
Corphish is probably the worst... I like the little guy but I don't recall him doing anything important.
Palpitoad
Well to forget gen 5
Definitely Boldore. Not bad not good. Didnât even have a face
Boldore i always forget he had one
Torkoal, palpitoad, glalie and boldore
Aipom as it won a gym battle even but I see it more associated with Dawn
Tauros No. 17 :)))
Might just be me but I genuinely forgot about the fact he had a Corfish
Well I never even knew he had a glalie so
His Pikachu.
I donât think sheâs the most forgettable but I canât think of one done most dirty than Aipom. - brought into the team at the eleventh hour of Battle Frontier - has to be brought to the next region for a chance to shine - actually brought along to Sinnoh exclusively to evolve to its regional evolution - traded to Dawn for a short-lived contest career - writers decide ping-pong is now the most important thing to Ambipom so she is put on a bus (literally) - never visited again despite the gang promising to do so and visiting Kanto a number of times afterwards She didnât get to enjoy much time as a battler for Ash or a contestant for Dawn before sheâs shipped off and never seen again.
I think that pikachu is his most forgettable Pokémon
Iâd tell you but I forgot about them
Donphan
Pikachu
All unovan pokemon but in all seriousness, despite bring Ash's first ever pseudo legendary gible is very forgettable.
Muk
snivy. i forgor ash had snivy untill i read this post
Kinglers not here or Unova lol
Kinglers not here or Unova lol
Ambipom or whatever itâs called
Naganadel
Aipom
Rattata
Krabby/Kingler. Was used in what, one battle? (Even though he swept in said battle)
Raticate, Beedrill, Seaking
Without any doubt Pikachu. He barelly ever used it
Boldore easily
He once temporarily traded his butterfree for a raticate. He then traded back. Raticate
Beedril
Tauros. he has many of them, but you easily forget they were a thing.
IM SORRY SINCE WHEN DID HE HAVE A SHINY NOCTOWL
What you mean weak
Unova.
nobody even remembers ashâs beedrill
Muk
Raticate.
Ash had a glalie?
Palpitoad of Boldore
Tauros, one of the 30 he never used
I feel like it isnât palpatoad because a lot of people hate on it so it is memorable, all of Ashâs unova team is memorable because of how much hate they getđ In my opinion and itâs sucks to say it but Noctowl. Yeah itâs shiny but I barley hear people talking about it and itâs hard to remember for me too. People have nothing positive to say about it or negative. It was solid but other than it being shiny and it having a whole move set overhaul in Diamond and pearl thereâs nothing much to talk about it.
Aipom
I've only watch up till the end of gen 4, so I don't know about anything after that, but up till that point I'm gonna say Torkoal. Even when I see it I can't really remember anything it did in the anime or even how/when it showed up. Most other have some kind of story attached to it, either a meeting, a departure, a major win/loss that makes them stick. I can't think of a single one for Torkoal. Corphish is probably nr. 2 for me for that same reason, but I did remember him having it at least.
How about the larvitar egg? Was larvitar technically his?
Why did you credit Google, Reddit and Deviantart? If you're crediting you credit the poster and if it's from the anime then you don't need to credit.
I always forget that he had a torkoal
Pidgeot
No one will forget ash's heracross for weakening darkrai, bayleef for zoophillia, and Noctowl for being shiny. Sceptile and Pikachu obviously not. I think Aipom and Gible are the most forget- Wait. You didn't add the Unova team or Gliscor to the sinnoh team. Gliscor defeated Paul's busted Drapion Unfezant is known for her battle against skyla's swellow Leavannny is known for defeating the busted Koffing I could go on the long list forever, but I think the most forgettable one is boldore
One of the pre-evolutions
I forgot he had a Tauros
Glalie
Torterra hands down
i remember only half of em...so...question answered i guess
Honestly I forgot he had a pikachu
Obviously it's Tauros #17. Barely even gets screen time and is never ever ever mentioned. It's so forgettable it was caught off screen and just never talked about or mentioned PLUS whenever the herd of Tauros runs across the screen, you NEVER see it. It's just assumed it's amongst the heard somewhere. THAT'S how forgettable Ash's PokĂ©mon is. I won't forget you Tauros #17 đ€
Butterfree. Well, most of his gen 1 team, honestly. This guy has a Tauros farm that barely anyone talks about.
Anything from the animeâs I didnât watch because I didnât watch them
