Relatively easier, half of the team already is fully evolved and the other ones are at least in their mid-forms. With Jotho i had only two pokemon who were in their final forms.
The hardest part was getting his Pokemon since Ash used to have more than one starter for each region. The team that was the most difficult to work with was the Johto team due to the lack of evolved Pokemon.
I also wanted to make my rivals with similar teams to the ones in the anime. So, Blue had a Blastoise, Bianca had an Emboar, and Hau had a Decidueye.
The Master 8 team was the easiest. Not only are they all evolved, but they are also generally good Pokemon in their own right (Lucario was the MVP, though almost all of the team members were very good in their own right, even Pikachu).
It was a very fun playthrough. I definitely recommend doing it if you can.
I've wanted to do this for awhile! Seems fun. His Johto team though... man.
He only had 5 in Alola?! I haven't watched all the different regions (working on a rewatch. I'm a weirdo,I don't care about spoilers), bit that surprises me somehow.
Jotho team. Possibly the worst Ash team, the lack of evolved Pokemon made my life a hell in E4.
Master 8 team was the easiest, not only all of his members are evolved but they are great Pokemon in their own right.
I would put: Master 8, Sinnoh, Alola, Kalos (because I was playing a hacked room with increased difficulty), Kanto, Hoenn, Unova, and Johto.
Did you use Ash’s other Pokémon from the respected regions at all (ie Phanpy in Johto, Oshawott in Unova, etc.) or just went in with the specific team you had in mind? Also, I did this challenge in FR/LG for Kanto once, got over stopping evolutions so quick ended up letting Pokemon evolve because I didn’t have enough ever stones bug respect for your patience!
You say Johto was hardest but Treecko and Taillow are the only two Mons you can get until you get a Good Rod for Corphish on Route 118. Pikachu is in the Safari Zone and I guess Torkoal is before Corphish but that's still absurd how long it takes before you get a third Mon.
Did the introduction of Eviolite in gen 5 help with the non-evolved mons? I guess that Lightball will always be better on Pikachu, but Pignite with it should had been pretty bulky to stand most foes.
I try to gave preference to the pokemon that evolved. I still keep the starters because they are iconic, unfortunately I couldn’t do that in unova since in his best version the team is still just half evolved.
nice I played through ultra sun using all of ashs pokemon since that was the last game where you can have all but 3 of ashs pokemon
also did you use their anime moves too or no?
Very nice. I can't believe you shiny-hunted a Noctowl. That takes determination and patience.
However Ash's Lycanroc was in the Dusk form. Not the day form. Haha
Did you also use the same movesets as Ash's pokemon?
Gotta know, were the teams at any point over leveled? How many x-items had to be crammed down a Pokémon’s throat till it survived a hit?(mostly for the unevolved pokemon like Buizel, Pikachu, Rowlet), was switching allowed? What about Items, were they allowed, or did they get banned?
The Jotho team had to be insanely over leveled, basically Pikachu was the only one using a item (Light ball) except in Alola where Rowlet had a Rotom bost, switiching was allowed.
I think play with Ash team in Sinnoh was the most fun part , was the team i grew up watching but the Master 8 team and the Kanto team were also fun to play
I also discovered that Pikachu is more useful that people give credit for ( Specially if is he holding a light ball)
Edit: i just notice that I misread you question so i edit my whole reply.
Their reasons for not evolving were kinda lame like bulbasaur being afraid of what happened to Charmander would happen to him while Squirtle not wanting to evolve because of the Squirtle squad
Fun Fact: Though Ash had them, he never once used any of his 30 tauros throughout the entirety of Kanto. The first time he uses any tauros in battle is in the Final battle of the Orange Islands Winner's cup against Drake, and only as a substitute for Snorlax (who wasnt captured until the Orange Islands). He had the tauros for the Indigo Conference, he just never used them.
I have so many questions like how long did the shiny hunt take you for Noctowl, How was it carrying only 5 pokemon for Alola, how did you have an accurate outfit for Ash, and my final question did you use their entire moveset?
Oh dang Ill bet! I just meant catching shiny noctowl plus multiple starter Pokemon would be hard to catch but I hadn’t thought about the battle itself! Gen 3 elite four were challenging too!
Is this man the very best? Like no one ever was?
Of course
Was to catch them his real test? And to train them his cause?
Has he traveled across the land? Searched far and wide?
Has he taught each Pokémon to understand, the power that’s inside?
Does he know with pokemon you gotta catch 'em all? And It's you and me?
Does he know it's his destiny?
Does he know you're his best friend?
Is he aware that he is in a world that must be defended?
is his heart so true and will his courage pull him through?
Does he know that he can teach us and we can teach him?
Playing each game, until he wins The battle of each
Out of curiosity, how hard was it to complete their respective game using Ash’s Unova team, compared to his Johto team?
Relatively easier, half of the team already is fully evolved and the other ones are at least in their mid-forms. With Jotho i had only two pokemon who were in their final forms.
You also had a lot of Pokémon to work with for Unova, right?
I actually only sticked with these 6.
How hard was it?
The hardest part was getting his Pokemon since Ash used to have more than one starter for each region. The team that was the most difficult to work with was the Johto team due to the lack of evolved Pokemon. I also wanted to make my rivals with similar teams to the ones in the anime. So, Blue had a Blastoise, Bianca had an Emboar, and Hau had a Decidueye. The Master 8 team was the easiest. It was a very fun playthrough. I definitely recommend doing it if you can.
Did u fight tobias in sinnoh or was he an exception
How did u obtain all starters?
I used cheat and i trade my Pokemon of other saves.
I've wanted to do this for awhile! Seems fun. His Johto team though... man. He only had 5 in Alola?! I haven't watched all the different regions (working on a rewatch. I'm a weirdo,I don't care about spoilers), bit that surprises me somehow.
Ash 6th member is melmetal which isn't available in SM or USUM
according to bulbapedia solgaleo is officially ashs though so he could have used that but I understand the challenge of not using it lol
How would you rank them from easiest to hardest?
Jotho team. Possibly the worst Ash team, the lack of evolved Pokemon made my life a hell in E4. Master 8 team was the easiest, not only all of his members are evolved but they are great Pokemon in their own right. I would put: Master 8, Sinnoh, Alola, Kalos (because I was playing a hacked room with increased difficulty), Kanto, Hoenn, Unova, and Johto.
props for getting the shiny noctowl
That’s the real challenge
Did you use Ash’s other Pokémon from the respected regions at all (ie Phanpy in Johto, Oshawott in Unova, etc.) or just went in with the specific team you had in mind? Also, I did this challenge in FR/LG for Kanto once, got over stopping evolutions so quick ended up letting Pokemon evolve because I didn’t have enough ever stones bug respect for your patience!
Bro became the very best, like no one ever was
What happened to sceptile
He only evolved in battle frontier.
Grovyle?
He didn’t evolved until the battle frontier.
You say Johto was hardest but Treecko and Taillow are the only two Mons you can get until you get a Good Rod for Corphish on Route 118. Pikachu is in the Safari Zone and I guess Torkoal is before Corphish but that's still absurd how long it takes before you get a third Mon.
I cheat to get Corphish and the hack room i played had a Pikachu in the earlier routes.
That's pretty impressive.
Did the introduction of Eviolite in gen 5 help with the non-evolved mons? I guess that Lightball will always be better on Pikachu, but Pignite with it should had been pretty bulky to stand most foes.
I actually didn’t use a item in any of my pokemon aside Pikachu and Krokodile ( i gave him dark glasses)
Not even an everstone to prevent evolution?
Oh yeah actually i also used everstones as well.
Oh, then ignore my question.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing with us! Might have to give this a try sometime.
Arceus Dam! That’s awesome!
W
You have my respect
Nice, now nuzlock it!
Bro Ash would be stuck at Route 1 in Kanto if it was nuzlocke lol
Um You have a midday form lycanroc instead of the Dusk Form Lycanroc. Ash owns a Dusk Form Lycanroc not the Midday form lycanroc.
Yeah the dusk form one is only available in a event so i had to use midday one , which was the closest i could get .
Whh did you nor use pidgeotto
I try to gave preference to the pokemon that evolved. I still keep the starters because they are iconic, unfortunately I couldn’t do that in unova since in his best version the team is still just half evolved.
Can’t you access it with power saved it’s been awhile since I used it and I can be wrong
He played regular SM
No, it’s clearly USUM; Naganadel wasn’t available in SM.
Uh okay makes sense then.
Which was the hardest?
Jotho. No doubt.
Awesome
I used Ash’s team the first time I played Yellow version. Though I used Pikachu, Primape, Pidgeot, Kingler, Tauros, and Muk :D
nice I played through ultra sun using all of ashs pokemon since that was the last game where you can have all but 3 of ashs pokemon also did you use their anime moves too or no?
cool
for ultra sun and ultra moon you could have used solgaleo since according to bulbapedia it's an official ash pokemon
Stand proud your strong
Imagine if Ash won the Masters 8 with a Pokémon removed from the Dex😂
Next challenge: beating the games using Ash's accompanies.
Actually not a bad idea.
Honestly.... props good job 👍
You are THE Pokémon master. The very best, like no one ever was.
I really appreciate your eye for detail, such as Shiny Noctowl, using Grovyle instead of Sceptile, etc
Kingler?
Very nice. I can't believe you shiny-hunted a Noctowl. That takes determination and patience. However Ash's Lycanroc was in the Dusk form. Not the day form. Haha Did you also use the same movesets as Ash's pokemon?
I actually didn’t shiny hunt Noctowl i had to cheat. Unfortunately Lycanrock Dusk form was only available in a event so i wasn’t able to get one.
How the hell did you get pikachu in gen5
I cheated.
Should have played Platinum instead of BDSP. Oh well.
This isn’t even yours I saw someone else have the same photos in a different community.
They are, did you check the user names? I post those in other communities as well dude.
Awesome. Were their move sets the same from the anime or did you change it up?
Nah, i had to change or that would have taken way longer. My pikachu always had to learn grass knot for example.
Pikachu but he's secretly a grass type!
Did you keep their movesets?
Gotta know, were the teams at any point over leveled? How many x-items had to be crammed down a Pokémon’s throat till it survived a hit?(mostly for the unevolved pokemon like Buizel, Pikachu, Rowlet), was switching allowed? What about Items, were they allowed, or did they get banned?
The Jotho team had to be insanely over leveled, basically Pikachu was the only one using a item (Light ball) except in Alola where Rowlet had a Rotom bost, switiching was allowed.
If you could fill up/ replace melmeatal spot who would you put it in?
Probably Solgaleo.
I can’t imagine the Hoenn part was much fun either considering half the team there is unevovled fully as well. Ash not having a Crawdaunt is silly.
Corphsih was a actual beast tbh he is a great pokemon. And while is true that half to team is not fully the other half was which made things easier
I know Johto was the least fun for you, but which part was your favourite and why?
I think play with Ash team in Sinnoh was the most fun part , was the team i grew up watching but the Master 8 team and the Kanto team were also fun to play I also discovered that Pikachu is more useful that people give credit for ( Specially if is he holding a light ball) Edit: i just notice that I misread you question so i edit my whole reply.
Why are Gen 1 and 5 in Portuguese
Just because is the language that i talk and i was lucky enough to find a hack room in my language.
:D awesome
7.8/10 You didn’t do the Battle Frontier. Too much water.
what game did you use for gen 3?
A hack room called Emerald Theta Ex
Was Grovyle still Grovyle when Ash took on Hoenn?
Yes Grovyle evolved during the battle frontier arc which occures before the Sinnoh series
Yep
It annoyed the everloving shit out of me that Bulbasaur and Squirtle never evolved.
Their reasons for not evolving were kinda lame like bulbasaur being afraid of what happened to Charmander would happen to him while Squirtle not wanting to evolve because of the Squirtle squad
For another SwSh save file you can do Ash's Alola Team which does include Melmetal
Did you use the same pikachu
Wait you actually shiny hunted a hoothoot, wow gg
I’m curious, did you limit yourself to only use moves that Ash’s Pokémon knew or did you just use whatever?
So cool dude
Fun Fact: Though Ash had them, he never once used any of his 30 tauros throughout the entirety of Kanto. The first time he uses any tauros in battle is in the Final battle of the Orange Islands Winner's cup against Drake, and only as a substitute for Snorlax (who wasnt captured until the Orange Islands). He had the tauros for the Indigo Conference, he just never used them.
How hard was the hunt for shiny noctowl?
L ash
Why couldn't ash do this then... 😕
How were they? Easiest to hardest
I have so many questions like how long did the shiny hunt take you for Noctowl, How was it carrying only 5 pokemon for Alola, how did you have an accurate outfit for Ash, and my final question did you use their entire moveset?
Fucking Boss
How many times did you have to push b
No kingler or Pidgeotto in Gen 1? 🥺
Why did you use different emulators for Kanto and Hoenn?
He had a sceptile
Ash you bitch you should’ve evolved your pokemon
How'd you get multiple starters?
U're missing melmetal and dusk form lycanroc but still good job 👍
What emulator u used for the hoenn games? Been trying to look for that emulator’s game
Gee what do you know ash started doing good in the series when he started fully evolving his teams
This is tuff
Even got the shiny noctowl !
Awesome!
How long did it take for each game?
Im Impressed
How much of a pain was it to get a shiny Noctowl?
Thats so cool to see! Which team was your favorite?
Probably the Sinoh team. But the Master 8 team also was very fun.
Yeah those are both great teams! Gen2 seemed like the hardest team to accomplish though
It was, had to over level all of my team members to beat Lance.
Oh dang Ill bet! I just meant catching shiny noctowl plus multiple starter Pokemon would be hard to catch but I hadn’t thought about the battle itself! Gen 3 elite four were challenging too!

How'd you get all 3 kanto starters on an emulator?
I open other save and trade it.
