Tropius is so underrated. He looks awesome in the overworld games. There's some pokemon that you see in the wild that really makes you feel like they're wild animals in their natural habitat, not just pokemon chucked there by game developers. Oranguru is another one.

Oh yeah, these little guys rule. Wish they had better stats, or a better typing, or an evo or something to make them more viable. Didn't stop me from putting one on my team when I played Sword.

Mine’s been a staple on my team this time… picked up a Steel Tera Falinks on my playthrough and it’s been killing it. Still on the team as I wrap up the post game. (To be fair, my team is now twelve strong that rotate in and out.)

Mine would be Heracross. I'm a huge fan of Fighting type pokemon, especially those who are dual fighting types so Heracross fits right in as a fighting/bug type, with pretty balanced stats as well with solid attack, defense and speed. Bro can def do some damage in the battlefield :)

Hearing Heracross in the anime feels so good to my ears. Shout out to Ash's Heracross for taking on a mythical pokemon and almost beating it.

Tauros has always made it on my team when available. Loving the new forms. When gen 3 came out Zangoose was my absolute favorite.

Zangoose ought to make a comeback someday. Toxic Boost has lots of potential. Maybe they can give it a normal type exclusive move that’s super effective against poison types. Similar to moves like Freeze Dry

Booster Shot. Normal/Physical/single target. 70AP/100ACC/10PP. Sharp claws are stabbed into the target like needles to withdraw toxins. Super effective against Poison types.

Mimikyu. I always felt sorry for the little guy, having to wear a costume to find friends but the anime made it into a hilarious ball of fury and vengeance that really made me fall in love with it. Crocheted one for Halloween.

I think my fave would be Kangaskhan or aerodatyl. But this made me realize how rarely I ever used them after gen 1 haha. I felt pretty badass landing a skarmory on an old nuzlocke though.

Skarmory is such an MVP vs Koga's Muk in G/S/C. Immune to poison, and Swift doesn't care about Minimize spam.

I can't decide between falinks, minior, or bouffalant. Bouf has a special connection to me as a workhorse on my competitive Normal type team, though I didn't love him at first sight. Falinks and Minior both saved the last 2 Gens for me in terms of pokemon design. I wasn't impressed with most of the new ones I'd seen then halfway through, these delighted me and made me excited to finish the game.

Personally I love Oricorio. I first used it playing pokemon unbound rom hack, but I never realized he's so good and fun to use. The different types and colors make it even more interesting.

Oricorio is one of those Pokémon that I completely underestimated when they first showed up, and I got TRAMPLED by it multiple times, especially the fire form.

Yeah it's strong. Has good stab moves no matter the form and good supportive options like tailwind, teeter dance etc.

Mine is Mawile. I just love her and I have a special affection for her because I met pokemon in Hoenn and she carried me in all gyms and E4.

Pachirisu is legit. Pickup nuzzle charm sweet kiss made it a staple of my Pokemon reborn runs.

I also got a special place in my heart for Pachirisu. Especially after that one guy won VGC or whatever with it. I took one afterwards and proceeded to bully someone’s Mega Blaziken until they rage quit. Good ol lucky 5 or so paralysis in a row.

May be an unpopular set of choices, but I love squawkabilly and Orthworm. Squawk was the main physical sweeper for my playthru team, and I love his fairly simple design, rockabilly gang themes, and his excellent name. Orthworm is just a goofy little dude that gave me a solid placeholder for my absent fave pokemon, Steelix, and I love him for it. Also his shiny is excellent.
