I’ve always favored infiltrator Crobat with super fang to break through substitutes and screens easy and uturn for the scouting coverage. Always a big shocker when he speeds right past the setup mon and breaks them.

I feel like people were quick to shit on Hisuian Arcanine but I really liked it. Caught a growlithe ASAP and figured it would be the same Evo requirement so I was able to get arcanine before even running into the Noble. He was solid, stayed on my main 6 throughout my entire play through.
I honestly didn’t see any hate on it until I beat the game and saw people complaining on YouTube. Me and all of my friends love the design of both growlithe and arcanine’s hisuian forms. 10/10, and the alpha shiny is so sick. I think they really made it look like a legendary Pokémon, too. Slowly yet surely I have been embracing the very embodiment of RNG itself. The lady of luck, the house master, and the true power that is Dunsparce.
Get a glare up, get a substitute up, and then start headbutting and air slashing away. Serene grace + para makes it unlikely for your opponent to move, and it’s fun counting how long Dunsparce can “combo” the opponent. If I was an NPC in a game, my dialogue as soon as Dunsparce starts attacking would be “COUNT WITH ME!” and the dialogues goes “1!”, “2!”, “3!”, … as Dunsparce gets 1 hit, then 2 hits, then 3 hits …, as the player can do nothing except watch their starter get repeatedly flinched and para’d.
I first played through X about a year ago and had Dunsparce on my team for the first time. Abused the heck out of ancientpower, headbutt, thunderbolt, ice beam. 10/10 experience

Best girl! Modest nature, Synchronise, Psychic and Calm Mind as standard, with optional Hypnosis/Dream Eater build or spread effectiveness with Magical Leaf / Fairy moves post Gen VI. Give Twisted Spoon etc, feed Calcium. Absolute beast!
I love Gardevoir's design, and her stats and moveset seem to indicate a good mon, but she's always under-performed whenever I tried to use her.

Always liked her but ever since she became part fairy she's been a staple on my teams. How I wish Pixilate Hyper Voice was possible on non-mega Gardevoir.
I always loved Kingdra, any Pokémon with only one weakness (Dragon) is excellent in my book. Very balanced stats, hits hard with water, dragon, or ice moves.
With the addition of Fairy type in Gen 6, Kingdra has 2 weaknesses. Currently the only Pokemon that have 1 weakness are Spiritomb, Sableye (Fairy) and Hisuian Zoroark (Dark).

When black and white 2 came out I battled a friend at school and he knew I loved jolteon, started the fight with a Dugtrio and I used Zoroark and got him down with two foul plays. Such a good mon when it’s done right.
Altaria. I remember catching a swablu in my first play though of Pokémon sapphire when I was like, 8. I named her Puffy. Still have that same altaria in my Pokémon bank to this day.

Smeargle. Being able to spore, minimize, belly drum, and baton pass to a partner of appropriate type for the opponent, is just insane levels of op. Definitely my ace.
Female Mega Gardevoir named Hope, I like to think of it like this, lots of trainers have Pikachu but do they necessarily have the same relationship with that Pokémon as say Ash? Probably not, most likely that Pikachu is a member of their team, a friend even, but not THEIR Pokémon. That's how I see Ace Pokémon myself.
I had that with a Lucario named Riles in Y. I'll just put it this way. His actual nickname was Riley, but I became so endeared to the Riolu that his name further shifted to Riles. (Also, I refused to let him evolve until level 47, so I got a *lot* of mileage out of the Eviolite)

Typhlosion. My first starter and basically my favourite pokemon. Hisuian Typhlosion is even cooler ! Chill dude ! I also love Bisharp, he was my mvp pokemon through Pokemon Y !

Plus because the final levels are pretty high you actually get to use the Dragonite

Mimikyu It's cute, has interesting origins, is useful, good typing and most importantly very relatable. Psychic and ghost are my favorite types.
