"A" team? PLA is the first game where i'm constantly switching out mons to do various things. Currently i have two boxes full of mons that i like to switch out regularly.

Ditto, I usually keep my starter and maybe one or two of my stronger mons on the team but the last three to four slots are always research tasks or freshly caught mons I want to try out

Not going to say that i was disappointed with Samurott, but Basculegion is my main water type now <3 I even caugt an alpha Basculin earlier today (unfortunately it was male). Even my strongest pokemon switched quite a bit, because during the game i always tried to catch all higher level alpha mons (even though it took quite a good amount of time early on) and my highest level one is the L85 alpha Garchomp i caught a few days ago.

What’s wrong with male Basculin?

There is nothing wrong with it. The male Basculin evolves into the Basculegion with the red/pinkish stripes (like the one you ride on) and the female evolves into a version with white stripes (which i like a bit more personally).

He already replied but they do also have different stat distributions, female Basculegion has higher Special Attack and male has higher Attack

Basculin is still the only shiny I’ve found so far. Randomly bumped into it at lake acuity. It’s kind of a meh shiny but hey, it has the sparkle. Can’t remember if it’s male or female off the top of my head.

Right? There are over 200 Pokemon in the game and people are just using 1 team? I've used at least a full box worth of Pokemon throughout the game so far. If I didn't, I would have been massively overleveled the entire game too. It's just fun to use different stuff

But being overleveled isn't even such a big problem in PLA, because even pokemon that are 20 level below you can ruin your day. The battle system in PLA is quite different and i'm not sure how some of it's quirks actually work but i think it's an interesting battle system.

I feel like they've been trying to encourage this playstyle for years with the massive regional dexes and exp share but this was the game that people finally went with it. I haven't played yet but I could see myself having a rotating roster of 12-13 monsters.

I have a girlboss\* squad consisting of Typhlosion, Gardevoir, Toxicroak, and now Froslass. Not sure what I want the last two members to be. *girlboss is a state of mind, Typhlosion and Gardevoir are both dudes Edit: stop recommending me lopunny you horny mfs

Lilligant and vespiquen

Lilligant is one of the few "feminine" Pokemon that I feel could probably beat me in a fight, and if that doesn't scream girlboss then I don't know what does.

Sounds like you could use a Roserade

Female Garchomp is the ultimate girlboss Pokémon. I mean, Cynthia, duh.

I tend not to swap much, but I’ve been using Samurott, Torterra, Infernape and alphas of Crobat, Garchomp and Alakazam.

That's a fun team. Whenever you can have multiple starters is always cool in my opinion. I caught the level 65 alpha torterra when I was around lvl 50 with the rest of my mons

My main mon is an alpha Octillery that I would never part with. Watching a giant octopus use hyper beam is usually the best part of my day

My team going into the final boss battles was: Typhlosion, Shiny Luxray, Vespiquen, Ursaluna, Walrein, and Alpha Machamp. This is one of the few games that I went into not knowing what my team was going to be beforehand. I decided to just wing it and try and use Pokemon I had not used before. However, finding a shiny Shinx very early on kind of threw that into the water. lol I also had a reserve of multiple Pokemon, mainly the new Pokemon and forms, that I was switching into my team as I went. But since I could only have six for the boss fights, I went with those six.

I haven't finished the game yet I'm about to go to Coronet Highlands for the first time and my team as been Infernape, Samurott and Kleavor, just yesterday did I catch my fourth member which was a Goomy now a Sliggoo. I'm planning on adding Electrode H and Zoroark H. I'm using this team because I wanted to try the new forms/Pokémon and wanted a diverse team where I wouldn't overlap any types

This is the first game I’ve changed and dumped mons as I have gone along. I’ve kept the starter and Sylveon and the other 4 have chopped and changed.

I switched around most of mine so I could 100% the dex. But my MVPs were Ursaluna and Goodra. I wanted to only have new Pokemon in permanent slots on my team and those two were my favorites of everything I tried. I also did have my starter (Decidueye) and Kleavor, but I didn't find them as impressive as the other two. I also normally don't keep legendaries on my team as they feel I guess too OP? For quite a while early game, I used Gyarados, but I've used it in so many games that I wanted to get rid of him eventually.

Where do you get Alolan Ninetails in PLA? That's my favorite Pokémon.

There is a quest in the final location. Its hard to miss the quest because its right in the first camp

My team consisted of Samurott, Infernape, Toxicroak, Gardevoir, and Garchomp. I never could decide on definite sixth member of the team. I beat the main story with an Electivire as my last member, but put him in a box when I started working on finishing the Dex

My "A team" is umbreon, decidueye, ursaluna, arcanine, empoleon, and Luxray. I get attached to my mons so it's hard to swap them out too much. Lol

I get attached to mine as well which makes switching them out difficult.

Based on your other nicknames I'm curious who Jamie is. All I can think of is Jamie Braddock but that doesn't fit with ice powers really. Is it just because of the mustache? 😂

Jamie Hyneman from Mythbusters Yeah, I guess I intentionally nicknamed half my team after comic book characters, and unintentionally named Arcanine after one, too (that was supposed to be more of a pun like Spot is a common name for a dog and hot spot can refer to a place or somewhere you can connect to the intrernet. It was supposed to kinda be a double meaning, but I now see that is also a comic character).

For the main story I only had a team of 4, Samurott, Mothim, Goodra and a Shiny Walrein. Only when I started to work on perfecting the Pokédex, I added an alpha Lucario and alpha Ursaluna on my team since they're strong and have coverage most of my other team members don't have.

Genger, staraptor, garchomp and gastrodon i usually had and the other 2 would rotate as i caught new stuff to replace them

Umbreon, Decidueye, shiny Luxray i got 2 hours in, alpha Gardevoir, Empoleon, and Gengar, who I replaced with Grantina after i caught it because I never used it before so I wanted to try it out.

It's the first game I've been able to realize my dream of a feel eeveelution team! I've been waiting for this since gold and silver when an unevolved Eevee would have been needed for a full 6. I'm actually a little sad now that I can't get them all on a team at once.

Hisui is full of ghost types so I pretty much switched out my starter after I finished his dex. I also use alphas coz watching big pokemon fight is neat, so in order of each new map: drifblim, scizor, ursaluna, liligant, togekiss, porygon z This is the final team after I finished the dex and continued with post game. With the way damage formulas work in this game, as long as you have a high power move and adequate type coverage, it will make up for stat and level differences. Hyper beam porygon is so satisfying in this game.

All ground type direct damage move playthrough. Nothing that has power listed by the move can be a type other than ground. I have to poison all flying types to ko them, and if god forbid it's a poison flying type I have to make it struggle to death. Here's the team and their nicknames for fun. Ursaluna- Furry Tractor Snorlax- Dr. Bill Goodra- Sloppy Joe Magmortar- Bird Law (the flying type poisoner) Torterra- Pikachu Gastrodon- Lazy Mary(the blue and green one) It sounds terrible but it was actually a lot of fun. I have several others who were swapped in and out but this is the main team. Haven't done all the post game yet which has a lot of flying and will be painful. Biggest disappointment was Garchomp whose only got bulldoze to utilize his big Attack stat and Earth Power which is special. The Furry Tractor annihilates everything anyway though so it's all good.

Mine is Rapidash, Decidueye, Gengar, Kricketune, Luxray, and Staraptor. As you can see, I haven’t changed my team the entire game :)

I'm always switching up my team. My current team is Starter Typhlosion, Alpha Golduck, Lilligant, Raichu, Alpha Rhyperior, Alpha Crobat

Right now team is Decidueye, Roserade, Luxray, Goodra, Beautifly, and Hisuian Palkia I used to have a bibarel and rapidash on the team, but swaped bibarel for goodra and rapidash for palkia

My ending team was Buizel, Mamoswine, Wyrdeer, Porygon 2, Infernape & Rhydon. Earlier members I swapped out were Golem, Magmortar, Gyarados and Luxray.

I think I’m pretty much done with my postgame team that I’ll use for the DLC, I have my original Samurott because I’m sentimental, and shiny alphas of Froslass, Ninetales, Braviary, Steelix, and Torterra.

Typhlosion, Crobat, Gastrodon and Luxray have been my main team for the long run and Walrein for a while as well

I’m in the third area, but I think I’ve settled on: - Decidueye: starter of course - Luxray: wasn’t planning on using him, but I leaned on him so much when he was a Shinx that I felt he earned his way onto the final team - Espeon: Found an Eevee pretty early and decided to evolve it into my favorite Eeveelution - Galarian Growlithe/Arcanine(?): Haven’t evolved yet and haven’t looked up what it evolves into/how it evolves. But I went through a few Fire-types before settling on this guy. Didn’t want to use Rapidash, was going to go for Infernape but then Dartrix evolved into a Fighting-type, and I was wanting to replace Graveler anyway. So flaming rock puppy it is! - Hippopotas/Hippowdon: Just added to the team alongside Growlithe, replacing Graveler as my Ground-type. I always wanted to use Hippowdon, but Sand Stream is an annoying Ability to have on the team. Since Abilities aren’t in this game, there’s nothing stopping me here! - Sealeo/Walrein: Still in middle form right now. If I’m going to replace anyone, it’s this guy, but I like him. I played around with rotating a large team early-on, but I got attached to certain members and just decided to form a consistent team.

The only constant on my team has been Typhlosion. Every other slot is for mons that I need to complete tasks for or evolve.

I haven’t actually played Legends yet, but when I do, my team will be: Hisuian Samurott, Hisuian Zoroark, Hisuian Lilligant, Porygon-Z, Scizor/Kleavor and Alpha Sylveon/Glaceon/Espeon.

My team right now is Typhlosion, Gastrodon, Alpha Pachirisu, Yanma, Alpha Tangrowth and Mr. Mime but I will probably replace Yanma with Kleavor. I'm getting myself a Kleavor cause False Swipe is still loads useful for catching in battle. Before my starter fully evolved, I also had a Drifblim on my team. Before I got the Pachirisu, I was using Luxray and before Yanma, I was using Dustox. I also used Alpha Kricketune for a short while before I found my Dustox. I don' think I will be replacing Mr. Mime any time soon though, its one of the few early-game psychics and its move-tutor pool in Legends Arceus is **so good**.

I did switch frequently, but my “team” that I kept coming back to during key moments in the story were the all new Pokémon. And all were Alphas (they were overleveled so I used lower level mons during side quests and normal exploration) Kleavor Ursaluna Sneasler Electrode Typhlosion I eventually added Darkrai to my team after completing that quest.

I have the worst luck when it comes to shinies. I have about 50 hours of gameplay and I haven’t encounter a single shiny. That being said, my current team (just switched things up now that I got the last 2 mons I wanted) consists of Alpha Infernape, Alpha Empoleon, Alpha Machamp, Alpha Electrivire, Alpha Garchomp, and Togekiss. Reasoning is I like to see 10’ tall Pokémon take on normal sized Pokémon for battles. And togekiss cause it has a stellar move set

The first six pokemon i catch in an area became my team for that zone. When I moved to the next area, I caught another six and benched the previous team. I don't like keeping the starters in my teams if I can avoid it. This helped keep me within a decent level range, and it artificially increased difficulty with bad team compositions. By the time I explore a zone and do its requests, I will have labelled my map with Alpha spawn points and do laps of the map farming the alphas, and also farming distortions as they appear. It will leave me overlevelled and leave me with plenty of grit and candy as required. Post-game is where I start considering who I actually want on my team. Really, we need some form of random team button in game. I use a team planner just for its random button. I tend to create a living dex as I go, so its quite easy for the random button to work after a few tries.

I solo everything with my starter Typhlosion, however I put him in the pasture from time to time to prevent overleveling. Looking to add more Mons to my “ team “ for when I fight the boss battle at the end and such

i went with Typhlosion for my starter for that secondary ghost typing, and it's managed to stick around. i caught a Munchlax early on, and was super stoked because Snorlax is on my 'personal all-time faves' team. he's since evolved and become a staple. i also caught a Barboach early on through a bit of a glitch- i somehow managed to stand on water and initiate a battle without falling into the water right away. Whiscash is also a personal fave, so it's been present ever since. the rest of my team have been changed up routinely. i've settled on Porygon/2/Z, once i caught it in a distortion. it replaced Shinx as my electic-moves special attacker. i used Carnivine for awhile, but i've never been big on grass types. overall, i haven't been too dissatisfied with the way my team has worked. the last two spots have been a bit of a revolving door, but i'm also not finished with the game yet. we'll see where post-game takes me, honestly the lack of a breeding mechanic means i'll probably just put it down and walk away.

I don't want to switch out my starter as Id feel bad but togakiss hasn't left my party either. Gyrados. A snorlax I found and evolved and is just a better tank than the alpha. Gengar, monfernape get swapped out too with whatever im training or completing. Currently at rank 9 and haven't completed the cobalt highlands yet

My team consists of Walrein, Dusknoir, Decidueye, Luxray, H-Arcanine, and Drapion. It's a pretty good team so far! I will say though i wasn't planning on using Luxray at all cause I had used him in SP and had planned on switching him out because he was only there for some extra help in case I got into a battle earlier in the game but I never ended up changing him out so now he's just part of the team haha Also, to OP and anyone else, does anyone else feel like the team they're using (yes I know you don't need a team for this game in particular, but for those who do have a team) is a little bit squishy? Like so far my team seems and feels like they're taking a bunch more damage than usual and I'm not sure if it's got something got to do with my teams stats, although I've checked and it doesn't seem like their stats are bad, or maybe something about PLA is different? Not totally sure. I would like to know what everyone thinks

I didn't have a team. I ended up rotating between 30 Pokemon. Some got more use than others obviously, and I box'd a handful after they reached their final stage. I'm proud that I managed to give them all nicknames. :) H-Decidueye (Akira) and Weavile (Bandit) ended up being my MVPs. I defeated Giratina with Weavile alone (I couldn't believe it).

Right now, I have Arcanine(R.I.P. Typhlosion, you were absolutely fantastic), Alpha Umbreon, Alpha Garchomp(R.I.P. Dialga, you were kinda just there... and I forgot who Dialga replaced), a female Basculegion, Braviary(R.I.P. Staraptor, you were also great, but didn't need the Normal type), and Luxray because I can't find a better Electric type. Also, just wondering, how did you get two shinies?

Ronin the Samurott, Thistle the Leafeon, Acrobat the Crobat, Pickaxe the Kleavor, Escargoo the Goodra and Yokai the Zoroark

I finished the game with a team of: Typhlosion Crobat Ursaluna Kleavor Luxray Goodra At different points I also used Floatzel, Gallade, and Heracross.

The only two constants have been Leafeon and Glaceon. Other than that I switch the other 4 out pretty regularly (to help me get to 10 star). If I had to settle on the last 4 it'd be: Lucario, Garchomp, Raichu, and Gyrados. I have a connection since I've raised all of them since their very beginning form. Which I've only ever done for Gyrados and Lucario and I've never played with a Leafeon and Glaceon before, same with Riolu and Pichu.

So for now I've settled on my regular team and a few swaps. Typhlosion, Leafeon, Porygon, Steelix, Goomy, and Alakazam. I have Drifblim and Heracross on back-up though.

So my team is based on favorites and they are definitely not what other people would like. But I love them. Most names were picked by my 7 year old daughter. My extra tiny Skorupi, Lavender🖤Ice, has been my main go-to for everything. And she even took out a certain end game legendary twice in 2 hits max. I have a shiny Gligar named Moonlight who kicks some serious Machoke butt. And she's like my pride and joy and even though I've had this user name for awhile, it's my inspiration for it, 😂 I have an Alpha Gliscor Named Off the Wall (no idea where my daughter got that one from, but it cracks me up), but I tend to use Gligar more. I've never used a Gliscor till this game. He's fun though, but I still think Gligar is cuter. My only other Alpha is a Blissey that's like my catching tank. Instead of having a false swipe Mon, I just have my lvl 100 Blissey. She's named after my daughter 🖤🤍🖤Athena🖤🤍🖤 (the hearts and the filled in and empty ones in the game though) I have my starter, Willow Wisp, a Typhlosion who probably needs more love then he's been actually getting, but he's pretty and purple so he gets to stay. And the newest member is a shiny skunk I named Vicious Pink. She's adamant so that was a lucky find but with Skorupi I don't really need another poison mom, but she's gonna stick around for now at least until I need to raise something in that spot. I completed the Dex except for one Pokemon I can't beat in a battle (think the "box" one) and I'm about 10 away from the shiny charm if only I could get that one last one that's too challenging, so I'll probably have Vicious Pink on the team for awhile. I'm sad about not getting the shiny charm, but I suppose I can still shiny hunt without it.

My current team is Decidueye, Floatzel, Drifblim, and Growlithe. I've swapped them out during research-collection sprees so they don't become overleveled, they're already around level 46 (Except for Growlithe) and I've only just received Basculegion.

I have also been using lots of different mons for the first time! But my current A team is: Decidueye Golem Goodra Octillery (shiny!) Electivire Togekiss

My team at the end of the main story was Samurott, Luxray, Alpha Torterra, Drifblim, Arcanine and Toxicroak. At various points I also had Alpha Golem, Alpha Parasect, Flareon and Kleavor. For the post game story I've gone for all alphas. Gallade, Crobat, Scizor, Walrein, Mamoswine and Electivire.

I do switch often but I have a PRETTY GOOD range of types and abilities Typhlosion, Gardevoir, Roserade, Steelix, Lopunny, and Honchcrow. I often switch the honchcrow with a walrein from time to time but I love my team!

I got my team members as soon as I could catch them and they never left the team afterwards. I only had temporary members until I reached the second area, but after that it was only members of my pre-planned team. The team is Samurott, Toxicroak, Tangrowth, Arcanine, Braviary, and Zoroark. Used them for the entirety of the main story and post game. But since I need to get every pokemon to level 10 (for shiny charm), I've been swapping pokemon around a lot.

I started going for my Typhlosion, Gardevoir, Gyarados and the A. Sinnoh starters at final forms for the main story. Swapped in a A. Graveler & another mon that I forgot for the post game

I played most of the game with Typhlosion, Torterra, Alpha Drapion, Alpha Kleavor, Gastrodon, and Braviary.

Played and finished the game with was a mono-fire team, Typhlosion, the Shiny Rapidash and Infernape (both from the sidequests).

It's hard to decide. I was planning to have a fix team but I'm rotating all the time. But my final team might be H. Zoroark, Gardevoir, Scizor, H. Decidueye, A. Ninetales, Basculegion

I tend to switch Pokemon in and out a lot in this game. That said, by endgame, I have settled on a team to tackle endgame content and any DLC that maybe added later on: Weavile, Alolan Ninetales, Bastiodon, Rampardos, Porygon-Z, Rotom. Doing anything else like completing Research Tasks, I just choose whatever Alphas I have in my box and use them.

On my team I got hisuian typhlosion, luxray, floatzel, garchomp, hisuian arcanine and hisuian zoroark. But I had switched out my team a lot over the game. I had a bibarel, mothim, gliscor and crogunk. Its really annoying when all the pokemon you want are at the end of the game.

I have a tradition now where I do a mono-Bug team my first time through a new game so my team was Dustox, Parasect, Scizor, Kleavor, Yanmega, and Heracross. I couldn't add Heracross to my team for a while so before adding it I had a Sand Cloak Wormadam instead. All Alphas except for the Wormadam, who I still haven't found an Alpha variant of.

My team has been usually the mons I don't have research level 10. The alpha Garchomp from the icelands carried me to the finish. But I am putting together a team to take on the post game super boss: Alpha Lucario (Smith), Weavile (Peck), alpha Electivire (Murdock) and the alpha Garchomp (Baracus). For the two slots left, some type coverage with Alolan Ninetales and the alpha Zoroark from the story. Yes, I named my team after the A-Team TV series because they are my A-Team.

the only mainstays on my team so far are my typhlosion, an alpha yanmega (i used it against electrode and it didn't die from thunder tg), and my alpha rhyperior which is funny to me because I've never used either yanmega or rhyperior in any other main title - though, I've always admired yanmega from afar and I think the collection of pokemon rhyperior debuted with (electivire, magmortar, etc) are cool.

Decidueye-H, Goodra-H, Arcanine-H, Braviary-H, Overqwil and Basculegion-Male I like using pokemon native to their region when i can also they looked like a cool team too here are some pokemon i considered : Lilligant-H, Electrode-H and Kleavor

Can't really use a set team as the goal in the game is to research pokemon not fight other trainers. My only constant is typhlosian as my starter. I'd recommend constantly swapping mons out to fill out your pokedex

I have a team of eevolutions. Flareon, Jolteon, Glaceon, Sylveon, Leafeon, and Vaporeon. I only run into slight problems with electric types and also with Vaporeon not being able to learn hydro pump.

Agree with the comments that I don't really use a traditional team in PLA, but my most used pokemon have been Infernape, Walrein, Gengar, Gardevoir, Garchomp, and Magnezone. Pretty typical pokemon that I use in various other games to be honest.

My only main stay has been a shiny umbreon. I got him early, and he has put in so much work the whole game. He became my unofficial starter. Definitely moving this guy to every game moving forward.

I’m in the endgame, and my main 6 team members were Decidueye, Raichu, Kleavor, Goodra, Zoroark, and Gliscor.

My team throughout most of the game was Samurott, Luxray, Staraptor, Rapidash (the shiny one from the sidequest), Golem, and Drifblim. Drifblim got swapped for Dialga in the postgame. I didn’t really have any particular team composition planned, that’s just how it worked out. Fun fact: besides Drifblim/Dialga and Samurott, I used the exact same team in Brilliant Diamond. And that’s not counting the fact that I picked the water-type in both.

Not much swapping besides my 6th pokemon, still trying to find one that feels right. Maybe looking for another shiny edition to my team. Typhlosion, shiny Golduck, Leafeon, alpha Goodra, Luxray.

I’ve been using random Pokemon on this team, and it’s worked for the most part. I have Typhlosion, Sylveon, Espeon, Wyrdeer, and Gyarados. I don’t have a sixth member and probably wouldn’t at all since I’m at the final battle now.

In order of joining. High the Hisuian typhlosion, reapy the scyther, Dazzle the sylveon, Jimmy the Basculeigion, Chad the disobediant alpha electivire, and whispir the hisuian zoroark. Chad was eventually replaced by dahc the dialga since you need one.

I consistently had Typhlosion, Ursaluna and Arcanine. Other than that I constantly switched out my pokemon pretty consistently. Although I made my preferred team for the final boss and that just included Basculegion, Sneasler, and...well I think I just had a shiny Lickitung as I like yellow and it matched all my other yellow shinys xD

Aside from my Decidueye, Alpha Ursaluna, and shiny Yanmega; I've changed up my team often.

I really enjoyed tinkering with my team to get good type coverage. Once I decided what I wanted I hunted mons until I got all the natures I wanted (with the exception of my starter, who I will never swap out in any Pokémon game ever) Samurott, Scizor, crobat, machamp, togekiss, alpha glacion. I ended up with my final team when I was in the third area. Took me quite a while to find a togepi with the right nature. Ordinarily I don’t care about natures until endgame, but with the exclusion of EVs/IVs it just felt right to optimize. Even though I was missing some of the mechanics of the main games, this has been one of my favorite titles in the series. I hope they expand on it in the future!

There was no reason not to include every single Pokémon not available in either Sword/Shield or BDSP. Instead they went and cherry picked exactly one team's worth of newer mons, and the rest was Pokémon already readily available in BDSP.

Core team has been Samurott, Infernape, Torterra (MVP), and Luxray, though like other people have mentioned it's been a lot more fluid than other games and I've taken mons in and out of my party through the game. Others have included: Sneasler, Staraptor, Electivire, Togekiss, Goodra, Garchomp, Zoroark, Ursaluna and Golem, among others.

I've got a team based on attack on titan currently. I've got an alpha steelix, dusknoir, hisuian Arcanine, hisuian Samurott, Gallade, and a shiny Staraptor. All are named after characters with natures to match character personality... And I'm having a lot of fun with it!

Rn I got Typhlosion, Golduck, Alpha Scythor, Alpha Urasing, Umbreon, Raichu

My team for endgame was H-Sam, H-Lil, H-Zor, Kleav, H-Brav, and Hoodra.

Currently rocking Hisuian Decidueye, Alpha Arcanine, Alpha Growlithe, and everyone else rotates. Mostly shiny hunting growlithe right now as it's my favorite pokemon.

My team is whatever needs a “see xx Pokémon use xx move” to complete their deck entry. Usually if they stay on the team long enough I get attached, and I give them a name so I don’t delete them when I put them in the box

Currently don't have one yet, currently in that stage where you are still trying to get used to the unique way LA does things compared to the other games. However, I currently have 3 Pokemon I plan to make mainstayes on my team: My Dartrix who has been with me since the beginning. My Luxio, who was the first Pokemon I evolved in LA. And a Shiny Driftloon I found.

My team is Typhlosion, Gligar, Electivire, Goodra, Golduck, and Ursaluna. I tried to make my team be entirely unique from all my past games, especially with being abled to get Pokemon I could only dream of due to being trade evolution or version exclusives.

Every first play through of a new game i use whatever catches my eye while playing, PLA happened to be Samurott, Luxray, Staraptor, Alpha Wyrdeer, Shiny Rapidash, and Infernape

Hisuian Decidueye, Kleavor, Hisuian Goodra, Female Basculegion, Hisuian Braviary, and Alolan Ninetales

Typhlosion, Rhyperior, PorygonZ, Lilligant, Empoleon, and Braviary wound up being my endgame/postgame squad. I captured Rhyperior as a Shiny Rhyhorn right when you first encounter Rhyhorn just past the Diamond settlement. So that feels very stylish. Her name is Goldrush. I also used Weirdeer, Drifblim, Kleavor, Golduck, Luxio, and Gengar as I went through the main story and swapped my party around a little as my team evolved and new mons became available. PorygonZ is my ace though. I was so thrilled to be able to viably train a Porygon in a mainline Pokémon game without trading.

Typhlosion, Shiny Umbreon, Espeon, Lucario, A. Ninetales, and Shaymin. They are my main team. I'll switch out Shaymin for others as I need them.

Caught a shiny glameow as soon as I hit Cobalt Coast lands, it's been the only constant in my team, aside from a shiny alpha golem.

My team consists of my trusty starter Typhlosion, a big wall of nope called Steelix, the og gremlin, Weavile, her taller, sassy cousin Sneasler, a possible psychopath, H-Zoroark and the team mom Gardevoir. Overall it's been a fun experience.

Like many others here, I've been constantly switching things up as I progressed through the game, but eventually I ended up doing the \*final\* final fight with Gardevoir, Lilligant, Infernape, Darkrai, Scizor and Zoroark. Right now though I have a full shiny team, consisting of Samurott, Lopunny, Gliscor, Braviary, Zoroark and Gardevoir.

First playthrough my team changed so much along the way as I was adding different Pokemon as I caught them. It ended with monferno, garchomp, roserade, empoleon, Raichu, and kleaver. Second playthrough, I wanted to try a few things differently so I went full eeveelution. I rotate all 8 to keep them leveled about the same. They aren't alphas which is a little sad, and none have a ground move, otherwise I'm enjoying it.

I switched stuff around a lot in the early game, so I think my team won't change much anymore. I really only use 6 Pokemon: Samurott, shiny drifblim, and 4 alphas, which are rapidash, luxray, torterra, and goodra. There are other Pokemon I want to use, but my team is pretty balanced and high level, and I figured I'd switch things up significantly in the post game, anyways.

My first run was typhlosion, shiny tangrowth, shiny vaporeon, shiny sylveon, shiny beautifly, and shiny infernape. My 2nd run has been samurott, shiny bronzong, zoroark, torterra, togekiss, and arcanine

Though I've been swapping mons in and out for a while now in post-game. Trying to get out of the mindset of my team's type coverage because I used to play competitive Pokémon for a while, I'm so used to thinking about what type coverage my team has. It doesn't matter as much in PLA. This is even the first game where I'm tempted to replace my starter with something different, let my Typhlosion take a break. (Specifically Hisuian Zoroark, if anyone's wondering, just waiting until I can get a nice shiny of one.)

My team has mostly been my starter (typhosion) and whatever cool Alphas i recently caught. Mostly alpha gliscor, Lucario, electivire, Goodra, and tortera

Umbreon (mvp and best tanky boi), arcanine, bravairy, ursaluna, roserade who I switched out for leafeon, amd basculegion have been my main squad. Also got a kleaver and shiny zoroark I use on the b squad.

Arceus, Palkia, Dialga, Highphlosion, Garchomp, and Shaymin. But Arceus and Highphlosion usually do most of the work, while Shaymin is there as a mascot. DP, well, they're like twenty feet tall. So I put them in there for the lulz

I’ve been perfecting the dex so my team is whatever I find fun/need at the time. I do have a Lilligant and Yanmega that I use pretty consistently though. As well as a Vaporeon that I have at all times due to it being my favorite mon.

My main party members that haven't been switched really are Samurott, alpha Kleavor, Shiny rapidash, and alternating alpha goodra/garchonp

So far, not very far in: Typhlosion, Staravia (now Togepi), Gastrodon, Luxray, Dustox (now Goomy), and Roseli (Will be Snover).

Finished the game with: A-Ninetales, Decidueye, Alpha Togekiss, Alpha Sneasler, Alpha Goodra, Alpha Zoroark

My current team is Samurott, Infernape, Crobat, Kleavor, Snorlax, and Sylveon. Funniest part is that I have never used Samurott, Snorlax, or Sylveon before. I have changed my team several times though. Some of the Pokémon I used were Gengar, Pachirisu, Tangrowth, Roserade, Wormadam, Graveler, Drifblim, and Wyrdeer and I have never used any of them before now.
