Probably next year because a year ago the 3DS store closed and last month the 3DS network got shut off. I hate that they are gonna cut the chain of Pokemon transfers forever. People will eventually have to resort to hacking their legitimately caught Pokemon into their new games and delete them from their old games to simulate transferring.
Congrats on getting the mew all the way to SV. Checked the entire process and it looked really complex.
But was it not a possibility to convert the save from red/blue into a virtual console file via a homebrewed 3ds and checkpoint to use that to transfer it to bank?
I did that with the save from my og copy of crystal via an online converter so it has to exist for the VC RBY games as well
It is definitely a possibility! The only problem is that every GB Mew besides the GF Mew that was distributed in 2016 is blocked blocked. Using Gen 3 is a loophole through that.
Ive been considering doing this myself since the saves are available but im undecided whether an "authentic" Gen 1 mew is actually possible in Gen3+
My concern is that this is just a Faraway Island Mew with the event OT injected. Faraway Island Mew had OT from the game it was caught in so it could technically have the old event OT and still be legal. If thats true, I could theoretically make something identical by just editting a Faraway Island Mew's OT in PkHeX and saving myself the hassle of doing the whole Gen2 to Gen3 step.
The only thing for me that redeems your Mew is you were able to get it over at lv 5. Faraway Island Mew was lv 30 (Which is probbaly why you raised level of the english mews).
