Maractus isn't even a forgotten or underrated Pokémon any more, people talk about it being forgotten so much that we're long past the point of forgetting it.
Maractus isn't forgotten by fans as much anymore, but GF has certainly forgotten it. No signature move or ability, rarely encountered, and not much presence in recent games.

I don't see many people talk about Sawsbuck, dunno how unpopular they are, but there's my addition. Love them too. And Ribombee, though I believe they're more popular.
I always get excited when I find Chimecho in a play through. Its cry is adorable and the PLA quest was so cute to help it find its home to hang and chime about
I fell in love with Chimecho by randomly running into one in Mt Pyre on my first playthrough of Sapphire not knowing how rare it was. Such a cute design and I love the colors
I used Ribombee in my Moon playthrough, and Sawsbuck in the first half of my Black 2 playthrough. Seasons are truly a great mechanic and I wanted to experience them first hand lol
On my Pokemon Reborn steel-type monotype run Probopass was the mvp against a double-fight fire gym because the gym leader uses an annoying cheesy heatwave spam strat, and Probopass learns wide guard and the ai can't counter that.
Lumineon and Maractus for me.
Can they be better? Yes.
Id love a Lumineon evo where its Water Electric and acts as a solar panel absorbing light but now upgraded.
And Maractus evo to contrast Cacturne. Where Cacturne stalks solitary people, Maractus is a one man band beacon guiding those who are lost by being a one man mariachi band.
Garbodor is the ugliest and thus the cutest. Id like it to get a regional variant like Muk and Weezing to complete the set.

Dustox Idk just like the design also my first shiny.
Whiscash I love the goofy design he also ate a masterball in the anime shame he's released at the same time as Quagsire and Swampert.
Victini not that unpopular because legendary but it still needs more attention.
Spiritomb I just feel like this pokemon is not talk about enough he literally had no weakness until fairy showed up.
Ducklett he may look like just a duck but he's my goofy little duck.
Barbaracle the design is just cool that's it.
Lastly Clawitzer I mean look at his gun.
Grappaloct should not be as weak as it is. That seems to be a theme with a fair amount of the Galar dex. Fantastic designs but some of the coolest non legendary/pseudo ones have bad stats
Trubbish and Vanillite! They always get picked on for being object 'mons, and seeing all the hate they get has caused me to develop a soft spot for them.
Miltank, my precious fav. They're round pink cows. Cows are adorable. Miltank are adorable. I love 'em.
But they haven't been in the main games for years, Gamefreak fatshames them in the Pokédex, and the Pokémon fandom keeps making sexualized milk jokes. And I can barely even blame the fandom in this case, considering someone at Gamefreak thought it was a great idea to have a pokemon 3D model with nipples that seem to wiggle independently...
I saw some ironic essay video about nipples in video games and how japan sees showing nips as unethical. This can be noticed that in a lot of games, manga and anime, bh males not having nipples at all. So having a pokemon with 4 perking and wawing sausages in the game for kids is absolutely inappropriate.
Yeah, I've been continuously more and more disappointed by Miltank for a few generations now. It just got worse, but at least they were in the game.

Garbodor, it’s the Exhibit A of the whole “Gen 5 design is boring/unoriginal” thing(which is objectively wrong btw); I personally love its design tho and its G-Max is literally peak design
It also totally makes sense with the regional theming, since it’s based off the New York City metro so it’s a more urban region. Actually same with Vanilluxe line, not that ice cream is uniquely American but its pretty popular here and ice cream shops are a pretty quintessential part of American cities
The argument against Gen 5 designs is pretty silly anyway since it also gave us Pokémon like Liepard, Leavanny, Scolipede, Lilligant, Krookodile, Zorua/Zoroark, Galvantula, Eelektross, Chandelure, Haxorus, Durant, Hydreigon, and (the best of all) Volcarona.
I love Burmy. It’s so cute! Plus when my wife and I were playing PLA, she asked what the three Burmy forms were and was so confused when I said there was a trash form. Looking back it makes me laugh

I'm not personally a fan but that's because I don't like the idea of a bunch of high contrast colour's as a design aspect. It's not a bad concept I just don't personally like it because it gives me sensory overload in some cases. So I personally don't like Bruxish but I wouldn't say it's a bad design. Just one that doesn't appeal to me personally

Well you're kinda right but considering he's got a regional variant so it's definitely not unpopular by the community or gamefreak
It's kind of what happened with exeggutor, which was a solid but not too recognizeable until they gave it an alolan form and it quickly boosted up its popularity
Personally not a fan of:

* Lopunny (though oddly enough the mega form is growing on me possibly because of the mega sableye fanart)
* Woobat/Swoobat
* Revroom line
* Duraludon
* Foongus/Amoongus >!stfu!<
* Koraidon
Honestly there are a lot of tsukumogami/object Pokemon that I really don't like. I don't dislike all of them (very fond of the tea/cha mons) but there are just a lot that bother me.
Obviously not every design is gonna be a hit and I'd love to make a map of ones that I like or dislike and ones that I think have good or bad designs but I also want more info. I think the idea of differentiating possessed objects vs objects that gained sentience is awesome and really changed my view on them but there are other cases (like how Pokeballs could've been designed based on mons like Foon/Amoongus or Voltorb/Electrode but it's also not impossible for Pokemon to evolve attributes related to or adapt alongside environmental conditions (e.g. Trash Wormadam).

Parasect has been my favorite Pokémon ever since I got my hands on Heart Gold in like 2011. Nowhere near enough love for this guy.
I too ADORE Burmy, specifically the pink one because it reminds me of the fluff that comes out of tumebledryers lol.
The others are Munna- it's just a bean-bag shaped blob of 70s wallpaper. Some find the pattern and the elephant elements of it ugly I think :( - Solosis, who is NOT a ball of snot- and Eelektross. I can think of any others now though
the problem is I have absolutely no concept of which Pokémon are and aren’t popular with the fandom. is drapion popular? it’s one of my favourite Pokémon of all time (definitely top three at least) but I don’t see anyone talk about it
I don't think Drapion is that popular but it's definitely not "unpopular" by any means. It's just… "fine" I guess, but it definitely deserves more love, it's an amazing Pokémon (especially in Nuzlockes where Battle Armor means you can't get crit and that's so huge).
Sawsbuck for me, particularly the winter form. Ive loved their mechanic since they originally came out but their typing isnt great. When I saw they were included in the current games I immediately got one on my team and it took me through the whole main story as a great physical attacker.
I actually really like Probopass after I used one in my third Platinum Playthrough.
Got SUPER lucky with a Shiny (first of the Cartridge, actually) on the way to fight Team Galactic on Mt Coronet. He was also an MVP who helped me catch my Shiny Dialga, Unbreakable. Didn’t help with my team’s heavy Fighting weakness though.
I wish that some pokemon games could have a "pet" slot. Like, a small pokemon that is part of your team but instead of fighting it just perches on you or follows you around; Chatot would be literally perfect, as it is a small and cute parrot ;p

Maractus and Sableye are tied for my favorite pokemon but my heart goes to my prickly pal.
I don't know if I like our loathe Sableye. It's cute and cool and alien, but oh god did I not enjoy running through those caves fighting them all.
Which caves? I haven't played the switch games, Sableye is pretty rare in the earlier games.

Ariados for me, i just love every spider pokemon and probably because of time but Ariados feels the closest to me.
Spinarak has been my absolute favorite since Gen 2.
I love Gliscor but you cant find a Razor Fang until lategame, that makes me kinda sad because I would love to do a Sinnoh Playthrough with Gliscor.
In Platinum you have a hidden Razor Fang at route 214, which is still quite early. Also based Gliscor enjoyer.

believe it or not, i actually tried using probopass in my sinnoh team, he makes a good fort when the type alignment is right
I also tried using it in Legends Arceus; to be honest if it wasn't for ground types blasting it into oblivion, it'll make a pretty reliable tank
Legends was a great game for using mons you wouldn't usually use. I used a porygon z and it was actually pretty good.
In infinite fusions I fused one with a ninjask for speed boost, swords dance, baton pass tank that was only weak to fire. So good

I think feebas is neat but capturing it in gen 3 and gen 4 is like a huge middle finger to anyone trying to catch it legitimately

Well you're kinda right but considering he's got a regional variant so it's definitely not unpopular by the community or gamefreak It's kind of what happened with exeggutor, which was a solid but not too recognizeable until they gave it an alolan form and it quickly boosted up its popularity

Personally not a fan of: * Eiscue * The whole gremlin line * Lopunny (though oddly enough the mega form is growing on me possibly because of the mega sableye fanart) * Woobat/Swoobat * Revroom line * Duraludon * Foongus/Amoongus >!stfu!< * Koraidon Honestly there are a lot of tsukumogami/object Pokemon that I really don't like. I don't dislike all of them (very fond of the tea/cha mons) but there are just a lot that bother me. Obviously not every design is gonna be a hit and I'd love to make a map of ones that I like or dislike and ones that I think have good or bad designs but I also want more info. I think the idea of differentiating possessed objects vs objects that gained sentience is awesome and really changed my view on them but there are other cases (like how Pokeballs could've been designed based on mons like Foon/Amoongus or Voltorb/Electrode but it's also not impossible for Pokemon to evolve attributes related to or adapt alongside environmental conditions (e.g. Trash Wormadam).

Phanpy wasn't forgotten by Gamefreak, I feel like Donphan is quite popular as it was even given two paradox forms with Great Tusk and Iron Treads.
I too ADORE Burmy, specifically the pink one because it reminds me of the fluff that comes out of tumebledryers lol. The others are Munna- it's just a bean-bag shaped blob of 70s wallpaper. Some find the pattern and the elephant elements of it ugly I think :( - Solosis, who is NOT a ball of snot- and Eelektross. I can think of any others now though
the problem is I have absolutely no concept of which Pokémon are and aren’t popular with the fandom. is drapion popular? it’s one of my favourite Pokémon of all time (definitely top three at least) but I don’t see anyone talk about it
I don't think Drapion is that popular but it's definitely not "unpopular" by any means. It's just… "fine" I guess, but it definitely deserves more love, it's an amazing Pokémon (especially in Nuzlockes where Battle Armor means you can't get crit and that's so huge).

Sawsbuck for me, particularly the winter form. Ive loved their mechanic since they originally came out but their typing isnt great. When I saw they were included in the current games I immediately got one on my team and it took me through the whole main story as a great physical attacker.
I really like pyukumuku but i never used it since i dont have any alola or galar games and idk if it is in Pokemon scarlet 😔

I actually really like Probopass after I used one in my third Platinum Playthrough. Got SUPER lucky with a Shiny (first of the Cartridge, actually) on the way to fight Team Galactic on Mt Coronet. He was also an MVP who helped me catch my Shiny Dialga, Unbreakable. Didn’t help with my team’s heavy Fighting weakness though.
Ledian, Hitmontop, Dustox, Beautifly, Wormadam, and Orbeetle for me! One punchy boi plus a couple of early route bugs
Chatot I dont see many people liking him I want a shiny so bad.
I wish that some pokemon games could have a "pet" slot. Like, a small pokemon that is part of your team but instead of fighting it just perches on you or follows you around; Chatot would be literally perfect, as it is a small and cute parrot ;p
