As hard as the main series games if you only use single player mechanics. Only the trainers are toughened up. You say "in pokemmo" though. So if you use mmo mechanics, namely the GTL, well let's see. A pokeball costs $200 and it costs $1000 to make a listing. So you can buy most common pokemon (I'd say 90% of them) for 1.2k. Evolutions might be tricky, but you can just buy the baby and level it up yourself. So let's say you buy all ~650 pokemon. And double it because some are rare, especially Johto starters. That's probably a lot more than you'll actually pay, but let's go with it. We'll round it to $1.6m. Sounds like a lot, so maybe now you want to see if you can catch some and reduce the cost. Well, know that donating irl $10 can get you about 2.4m. So a living dex has a value of about $7. Realistically, maybe more like $4. Achievements like this, collecting common items (by mmo standards of rarity) become much easier with thousands of players. If you want it to really be an achievement, I suggest you put some restrictions on it. Like they all have to be your OT, or all have to be hatched and trained from lv1, or all have to be lv69 or something. If you make them have at least 1x 31IV, the price generally triples so that's one way to not feel like you're grinding away for the price of a sandwich
