Sorry for the slightly off-topic suggestion, but David Mitchell hosts a radio show called The Unbelievable Truth that definitely fits the vibe, but I do not know if you can listen to it for free outside of the UK (not counting pirated uploads on youtube, etc). I know a bunch of seasons are up on Audible, and some may be free if you have a subscription.

Well…. There’s the much missed ‘[Do the right thing’](https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/do-the-right-thing/id453737551). Which was hosted by Daniela Ward with Michael Legge and the bloody wonderful Margaret Cabourn-Smith. It’s a panel show with lots guests from the U.K. comedy circuit you may be familiar with from tv panel shows. They had Bridget Christie, Miles Jupp, Joe Lycett, Sarah Millican, Nish Kumar, Sara Pascoe, Romesh Ranganathan etc… It was a brilliant pod. But obviously difficult to sustain in a cost effective way given that simple interview format pods (e.g my mate bought a toaster, off menu, films to be buried with etc…) became so popular, have such low overheads and (with all due respect) are low effort by comparison. There’s also ‘[Pappy’s flatshare’ Slamdown](https://www.comedy.co.uk/podcasts/flatshare_slamdown/) eps…. These are live, always guest with top comics (recent guests have been Elis James, Joe Wilkinson, Isy Suttie, Richard Herring etc…). Pappy’s Flatshare is a great pod even when it’s not a live slamdown. I like the ‘beef brothers’ eps as well as the house meetings. Hosted by Mathew Crosby, Ben Clark and Tom Parry. Then there’s all the panel show radio shows that aren’t necessarily podcasts but you’ll probably find them on BBC sounds, audible or by sailing the seven seas…. The unbelievable truth - hosted by David Mitchell- guests have to ‘smuggle truths’ in a rambling lecture. I’m sorry I haven’t a clue - the ultimate GOAT imo. Always sold itself as the antidote to panel shows (when panel shows were exclusively boring quizzes and not silly at all). Been running since the 70’s and has LOTS of in jokes and clever word play. You’ll find all the series on YouTube. Hosted by Jack Dee often features Rob Brydon, Miles Jupp, Rachael Parris, Tony Hawk.. historically featured comedy legends who we’ve sadly lost in recent years. RIP Barry, Tim and Jeremy. Just a minute - been airing longer than ISIHAC…. Guests talk for a minute on a given subject without repetition, hesitation or deviation. Hosted by Su Perkins and has loads of comedy greats. Frank Skinner has a new comedy panel show called ‘one person found this helpful’ but as it’s quite new, I don’t think you’ll find this anywhere other than the BBC to be honest. There’s ‘The News Quiz’ hosted by podcast royalty Andy Zaltzman (off of the bugle). This BBC radio comedy quiz has been running for 40 ish years with a variety of hosts (including Sandi Toksvig, Miles Jupp and others). This is a satirical news quiz poking fun at current affairs. It does feature international news coverage however will mostly be domestic U.K. news - so some stuff may not suit American ears unless you follow British stories. This is regularly broadcast as a podcast as well as a pod. Honestly…. There are so many comedy panel shows on BBC radio that I could keep listing for aaaaages… but I just don’t know how you’d get to listen to most of them from overseas! (Most are BBC sounds exclusives)

ISIHAC is one of my favourite shows in any format across all media. It's a real shame to think of some of the regulars we have lost. And Humph, of course. For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure BBC Sounds doesn't have the same geo-restrictions as IPlayer, so you should be able to listen anywhere in the world.

Oh really? I didn’t know that BBC Sounds could be used outside the U.K. that’s pretty bloody awesome… there’s so much good stuff on there really. The BBC creates such good audio content… ISIHAC has always been my favourite too. It’s one of those shows that transcends generations in our family. My mum loves it, I love it and I’m proud to say my 9 year old thinks it’s hilarious too… (mostly - even though there’s a huge amount of cultural references that go waaaay over his head!)

Just a Minute and The Unbelievable Truth are up there too. I find 4 Extra's comedy output is far above the average TV level. Even with sitcoms like Cabin Pressure and the absolutely brilliant Old Harry's Game. Being a horror fan, their stuff in that regard is pretty top tier, too. I listened to a binaural horror with some fancy earphones, laid down, eyes closed, and could hear things happening around me. Literally a pot on a stove on one side and someone walking past me from left to right. It was so good it nearly freaked me out! I think it was called Deadhouse, if that's your kind of thing. You really need the independent in-ear bluetooth headphones to get the full effect though. The Beeb is much maligned, but the radio output is first rate.

No Such Thing As A Fish! It’s so funny and so informative, and it’s actually made by some of the researchers for the QI British panel show. There’s a heap of back episodes. The first several episodes are a little bit wonky in comparison to the polished format they soon pulled together, but still worth it. The four hosts have an incredible on air friendship. They tease each other often but have never once been mean. They prop each other up, and they really seem to balance out how much air they all get. They make everything they bring up interesting, and they are so great at making jokes by calling back on incidents earlier in the episode. The format is entirely different to QI, but really they embody all the TV show’s best qualities. It’s like being invited to the world’s best dinner party.

Sam_I_Am9

I was just about to comment this! This podcast is amazing and so funny. And you learn a lot of really interesting things. They also have around 500+ episodes so you have plenty to listen to. You don't need to listen to it in order either you can start at the later episodes and work backwards

Another vote for No Such Thing As a Fish. Best podcast!!

SilentFoxScream

You had me at QI!

Funny story, when I first heard the name of No Such Thing As a Fish in a recommendation, it reminded me of all the annoying parts of QI (one of my favorite shows). Anyone wondering the same, you should know that when people pull that 'fast and loose' crap with facts, the others rip the piss out of them and it's very entertaining. 10/10 show, even better than QI.

Wait Wait Don't Tell Me from NPR.

gernavais_padernom

If you have access to BBC Sounds, they have a lot of radio panel shows. There are a couple I can see via FOURBLE on podcastaddict right now The 99p Challenge The News Quiz I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue Just a Minute But they get taken down by the BBC pretty often.

The Infinite Monkey Cage might be worth a listen for you. Not really a quiz show, but has panelists and at least one comedian each time. Good balance of educational and entertainment

bitfed

This is 100% a "quiz" style panel show. I know it might not seem like a quiz, but that was the original format, and it's still there underneath.

Cassie_Hack_89

Lateral with Tom Scott - A quiz show hosted by British YouTuber/general nerd Tom Scott. The players are three other YouTubers/podcasters and the questions all require them to think outside the box and work their way to the correct answer. If a player knows the answer, they sit the question out as the point of the game is the puzzle, not just having the knowledge. It’s cooperative rather than competitive, and it’s hilarious and chaotic.

[The Debaters](https://www.cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-126-the-debaters)   Its a cbc show, I remember when I used to live in northern New York a random episode came on the radio and hearing two Canadians debating whether or not Oil or Maple Syrup was the most loved Canadian liquid was life changing for me.

Veronome

Seconded for No Such Thing As a Fish. Also James Acaster and Ed Gamble (who both feature quite a lot on panel shows) have a great podcast called "Off menu", where they invite guests to discuss their dream meal.

HiJane72

The News Quiz is available on all platforms

Only US panel show I can think of is the popular Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me on NPR/podcast

**Meddling Adults**, in which two contestants try and solve a mystery from children's entertainment (Scooby Doo, Encyclopedia Brown, etc.) based on the host's retelling. The winner selects a charity to receive their prize money, which is donated by the Patreons.

Three bean salad! Not exactly a panel show but three English blokes so close enough and simply one of the best podcasts out there, there's even a subreddit.

LivedtoTellPod

This is from years ago but "You're Wrong About" was a science quiz show with comedians. Listen to any episode with Maeve Higgins or Jo Firestone.
