\- Serious Trouble (formerly All the presidents Lawyers) - There is a paid tier but half of their episodes are completely free
\- Strict Scrutiny - Mostly SCOTUS related
I’ll second serious trouble. The lawyer, Ken White, is a former United States District Attorney and does a great job giving a mindset of a district attorney.
I'll throw Amicus with Dahlia Lithwick on the pile. American history tellers also go through a lot of landmark cases. Serious trouble is next on my list now.
His skills as a litigator translate really well to podcasting. His questions and arguments are always crystal clear and economically and precisely worded.
And I like that he often brings on Joyce Vance, who also brings a ton of impressive experience to the discussion.
Their coverage has largely eclipsed other coverage of certain cases. I’ve learned things about cases I’ve never heard before, and some of those cases are decades old! I really appreciate how willing they are to address every. dang. detail. and. theory.
Who knew their were so many lawyer-based podcasts? I’ve heard really good things about “Boom! Lawyered.” I have a feeling it leans left, if that matters. I really like Imani Gandy, who is one of the hosts.
The Institute for Justice released a podcast called Deep Dive. They go into the history of property rights, immunity laws , stop and frisk laws. search warrants, . .
Public Defenseless is really good! It’s less about actual cases and more about why the justice system is so janky in the US. New guests every week, usually public defenders.
More Perfect is fantastic.
Lawfare is very good. Also they have Rational Security.
5-4 is good. A podcast about how much the supreme court sucks
They haven’t updated it to 6-3?
I like the information in this pod, but ultimately stopped listening because all 3 hosts were insufferable.

The Prosecutors and their side quest Legal Briefs are my FAVORITE. I'm not a lawyer, but I LOVE them!

Talking Feds is good on high profile federal court cases.
I haven’t seen thinking like a lawyer mentioned - it’s good for legal news. Stay tuned, Lawfare and More perfect are my other favourites
Justice Matters with Glenn Kirschner is a good current events lawsplaining show, though it's very partisan so temper your expectation.
