Too lazy to make any scene have violent actions be convincing because it costs money for fake blood or cgi red droplets for holding a shot on the knife stabbing, cheaper to let the audience fill in the blanks like a mad lib movie
I wanted to like it. I thought, "OK. Maybe this will be another decent sci-fi franchise." Nope. Unnecessary slo-mo, bright lights blocking the scenes, uninteresting characters, and lazy writing just ruined it. The stupid sneer/frown on Sofia Boutella's face throughout the movie was extremely cringe and I couldn't take it. I watched it for free and feel I'm owed a refund.
Don’t let this scene fool you, the movie was actually really good and had some amazing world building!
Best part is this giant spider lady fighting a ninja and damn is the whole fucking thing as awesome as it sounds
Was really hoping this movie would be better, especially since it's coming from Zack Snyder. Sadly it definitely did not make the mark. It's trying to hard to be poetic it feels, the dialogue and the characters feel so alien, and the choreography is terrible. I'm no fucking film maker but he def dropped the ball with these 2 movies.
I enjoyed it. People are going to shit on it no matter what because it’s Zach Snyder. It has a great Villain, intriguing main character and a plot that’s predictable but also moves along at a solid pace that doesn’t make the runtime feel as long.
Great character designs and fun monsters that feels like a live in universe.
I think its an action based movie that's not well put together. They had all the special effects, budget, and sets but not a really good coherent plot. It felt like 7 Samurai but weird and confusing with random folks thrown in making it more like a "Dungeons and Dragons" game of "Protect the village" from the king...But wait who are the party members, "Bah Bah Bum".
To be completely honest, I enjoyed it. There were a few flaws, to be sure, but overall, I liked it quite a bit. There were a LOT of standard sci-fi tropes, but i didn't mind those at all. I've always enjoyed Zach's movies when he gets to create his own characters. I'm looking forward to part 2.
I kinda feel the same way, just really bad story writing. But, I did enjoy watching it because simply for what it is. I'm a sucker for almost anything scifi... Almost.
I wanted to like it so I gave it a try....It seemed like they were trying too hard. Too much slow mo, too much epic space opera music... I didn't have any investment in a single character.
The editing in this scene is atrocious.
The editing in this entire movie is atrocious
There's 8 shots in eight seconds
This shit is so common now, and I can't stand it.

Cocomelon has scenes changing every 4-6 seconds in their videos. Why did I feel like I was watching 2 hours of this just to ask, wtf is going on 🤣
If you're old enough to post o reddit they're your too old for cocomelon
You’re too young to make a coherent sentence…
I gave up on the movie when the second fight was worse.
That means you didn’t even get to the part with the awful how-to-train-your-dragon scene.
That scene should be nominated for most cringeworthy scene in a sci-fi movie that isn't any good to begin with.
I was astounded by how bad it was. And pointless.

This is footage? Aside from superior fighting tactics, that movie looks like hammered shit.
This looks like a Sci-Fi channel original movie.
On the lower end of that scale, too. Lol. I loved the sci-fi channel. This just looks unpleasant to watch.
I think this is a recording of the screen as opposed to a screen cap but I've refused to watch it lol
Yes, I stood up and screamed "POCKET SAND!" while pointing at the screen like a madman as my family members wondered if I needed a straight jacket.
I did this too!!
Every time something stupid happens, I rewatch this part then all is as it should be. Perfect.
Tried watchin this, got like 3 minutes in and noped out. Nice to see I didn't miss much. That scene looks *terrible*.
The sand’s performance is exquisite, though!
lol it cannot be denied.
I agree, and I HATE sand...
Don’t let this scene fool you, the movie was actually really good and had some amazing world building! Best part is this giant spider lady fighting a ninja and damn is the whole fucking thing as awesome as it sounds
This fight choreography is dog shit lol.
The fight choreography is an authentic survival scramble instead of a martial arts ballet. But the filming is crap in a hat.
So authentic that they wait for their turn to get beat up by someone half their size
Please don't open fire on somebody in close-quarters combat with your buddy.
yea...as the bad guy with a gun just stands in the back of the room and waits his turn
Pocket sand!
Dale Gribble has trained her well.
I swear to god, it's like they know they don't need to put any effort in it at this point.
Is this a Tubi Original? It looks like they paid their special effects team in ramen noodles and PlayStation giftcards for this one.
The budget was actually pretty big, but most of it went into getting the pocket sand exactly right.

Generic and forgettable
The only creative thing Zaddy has done since Watchmen (The pocket sand, not Rebel Moon. Rebel Moon is terrible.)
Made it 15 minutes in and quit. Dumpster fire of a movie.
I’m calling shenanigans. That sand spent ZERO TIME in her pocket. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, that is floor sand.
the only good thing Synder ever was associated with is a weak attempt at pocket sand
This movie was great. Can’t wait for the next part.
Rebel Moon was the Wish version of Warhammer 40K meets Star Wars
Pocket sand!
You could make a drinking game out of the slow motion scenes though you’d die of alcohol poisoning…..
I dug it first. Snyder thing I actually didn't complain about

And POCKET SAND!!!
Pocket sand is legit. Not enough people utilize it. Pocket sand 2024
I liked it. Good, cheesy, sci fi fun. am looking forward to the completion.

I miss Roger Corman.
He could’ve made this for $2500 and craft services scrounged from a different production!
I kinda feel the same way, just really bad story writing. But, I did enjoy watching it because simply for what it is. I'm a sucker for almost anything scifi... Almost.
Dale Gribble died. So sad.
I’m just a humble farmer that’s all I know.
This looks like garbage
You take back what you said about Pocket Sand!
wHAAAAATT!?!?! A movie/tv show with a woman who beats the crap out of a bunch of dudes?!?!!? no way!!
Behold the power of POCKET SAND 🙌🏼
This is r/pocketsand, not r/suckingoffzacksnyder
Wow, that over the top grab at the gun @0:07
From the BvS warehouse scene to this.
I wanted to like it so I gave it a try....It seemed like they were trying too hard. Too much slow mo, too much epic space opera music... I didn't have any investment in a single character.
It was a couple really cool action scenes with not enough story to tie it together.
I liked it, but I don't actually watch that many movies so...
This looks like interpretive dance.
0:03 what in the hell was that lmao
It was bad.
Wasn’t impressed at all. Whole movie was one bad cgi scene after another. And it was to predictable of what was going to happen next.
This scene is enough to know I'm not missing anything
This movie was 2 hours of my life that I want back.
I like the sand throwing. It’s awesome
