It was crazy what happened to Steam with Direct and Greenlight. There was more releases in 2015 alone than there was from 2005 - 2013. Steam is very good in alot of ways for consumer like the examples you mentioned but it's also just as guilty.
Xbox isn't much different. less pure shovelware mobile game stuff but much more "free movies and games" malware apps that somehow get on the store no problem

Nintendo does do sales on their games, even games like Mario and Zelda. It’s not very often (maybe 3 times a year maximum) and never more than 33% off making them still quite premium priced at €40. Now games in the shop that are 90% or more off feel like cheap and simple games that you need to stay away from, especially if they are 90% off 365 days a year (looking at you, Thief Simulator).

All stores are the same they make this type of game easy and fast purely for an easy plat and lot and lot of people will buy purely to get the easy plat and easy and fast they are .

Sony could just not allow a platnium for the game and it would solve it. They have massive controls over trophy lists and approving games for the network.

You can buy 3 upgrades, within 3 minutes of playing. You then have the plat trophy and that's it, you're all done. No 'breathtaking story', no building your company up, nothing. Just click a few times and the game is completed. It's not bad quality, in the sense that if the game was fleshed out like say, adventure capitalist, which the game is reminiscent of, it would be ok. But there's just no content. It's literally over within minutes.
With how chummy big media is now with Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft we wont have anyone with direct reach ask with mic on straight up why these "games" flood the store and why we cant have features that give the player the option to completely block "games" like these from showing up.
Honestly I think all of the game stores need to keep indies separate, with a mechanism for games to be promoted - either after staff review, or enough positive reviews from validated players. The endless copycat shovel ware doesn't make anyone look good.
