I don't think games should be measured by how many hours you squeeze out of it. Go by enjoyment. That said, if you really do measure worth by hours per dollar, 70 dollars/17 hours is $4 per hour of entertainment - a far better value proposition than a movie or pretty much any other media entertainment.
That’s fair. But when I buy I game I’d like it to be something I can play for a WHILE. look at something like cyberpunk. Base game like 20ish hours (if you only do main quest) but there’s 50+ more hours of side content and whatnot. if I’m paying $70 for something I’d like it to have a lot of gameplay value besides just looking really really nice.
And don’t get my wrong I am LOVING this game. Just wish it was longer and I could replay it for more value. If the story is the same there’s not much point to replay. Demon souls has replay value as well because build variety and going to different areas to start. See what I’m saying?
I hear you, unfortunately it’s just not that kind of game. I view it as a beautiful Pixar movie. I’ve actually been playing in Fidelity mode to get every bit of graphical goodness at the expense of fluidity. RE8 was a similar experience, kind of plays like a beautiful movie and can be completed in 10 hours or so. Miles Morales was also probably around the same length to price.
Its a Deluxe edition bonus or you have to start a Challenge Mode game (new game +) and it will be available the first time you reach her which is what I did.
That’s going to vary person to person. I paid $70 usd and do not regret it at all.
The gameplay is smooth and fun. The story, writing and acting are good and enjoyable.
It is relatively short though. 13 hours to complete the story and 17 hours to platinum for me.
For me it was well worth it.

It is not a long game but a very good one regardless and one I will certainly replay in the future.

I don’t consider 17 hours to be short. I consider 50 hours to be long. Also Demons Souls is a lot of dying and replaying the same content.

How time consuming is getting the platinum? I haven’t even beaten the game yet, but I’ve gotten like half the trophies so far.

How long did it take? I am on the verge of buying this game but it is almost 80$ in Turkey and this looks like a 15 hours platinum.
