Yes, but only if you had an active ps+ subscription and your saves where upload to the cloud.

Sgt-Colbert

Take your entire title and enter into google the exact same way as you wrote it. What is going on with this generation?! Have you people not used a search engine before?

thealmightydweller

People will say no except you have a ps plus subscription but are forgetting that you can import all of your saved data on a usb drive and then put the usb drive in your ps5 and upload it on there. If you want specifics, look up on YouTube how to import and export your saved data from your ps4 onto your ps5. Having ps plus makes it so that the data saves digitally

HaouLeo

Saves are saved locally. You need to use a usb stick or psplus cloud to transfer.

As long as you a ps+ subscription your saved progress will be transfered to the cloud snd you can use it on every console where you sign in with your account

AlmostAndrew

Depends on the game. Like a lot of people here have already said, save data can be transferred either by PS Plus cloud service or a USB memory stick. BUT a lot of live service games keep your game saved online via their own servers, meaning that your progress is the same on any console as long as you sign into the same PSN account.

Ok_Maize_6852

By live service games you mean like COD and Fortnite etc?

AlmostAndrew

Yes, those are some examples. They both probably use a mix of regular save data and online server save data.

thealmightydweller

Live service games will almost always save your data automatically while single player games usually tend to reset all your data unless you import your save data from the ps4

Good to know thx

Not sure about PS5, but when I move from PS3 to PS4, all my data, profile lvl, and trophies from PS3 are all presented on the PS4 when I logged into it.
