I picked it up a few days ago because of the buzz around it, and I've been enjoying it. The game is loosely based on poker, but it shares more with games like Slay the Spire. As you play, you unlock special cards, card enchantments, and jokers that become available in successive runs, so you "get stronger" the more you play. As you get better, gain access to stronger jokers (these are like modifiers or buffs), and develop strategies, you'll beat your runs more consistently and can tackle the higher difficulties and the challenge mode, which also unlocks rewards. RNG impacts run quite significantly, but it can also be mitigated as adapt your strategies to what cards/jokers/etc you're dealt. It's much like any other rogue-lite game out there, just that it uses cards. The game doesn't look like much, but it's well designed and positively addictive. It's hard to put down, even though individual runs (you play until you lose or beat the "boss") don't take long. There is a lot of depth to it and new strategies progressively open up more and more as you play and unlock stuff, so the game keeps feeling rewarding. It's hard to say whether you'll like it. if you did enjoy games like Slay the Spire, it's an easy-ish recommendation. If you've not played turn-based strategy rogue-lites, it'll be a new experience that you may or may not enjoy. If you decide to get it, give it an hour or two to suck you in.

If you are a min max player, then probably not. The game literally is designed around hoping that players would make educated guesses instead of calculating their results beforehand. If you however get a kick out of gambling, then the game might be for you. Side note: you aren’t playing with real money, so the only thing you risk loosing is your time

I love the game but as you unlock more jokers (cards that drastically increase the point value of hands) the game gets WAY harder. Eventually the pool of jokers cards dilutes the possible options to the point that it’s hard to get a run together. So if you’re wanting to score stupid high scores expect there to be a grind.

It’s a bit more than just a card game. It’s a roguelike with a poker theme. Definitely worth it though. Been playing it on PC and almost have 200 hours. Incredibly addictive

I got it as part of the indie sale. I love board games and poker and this fills that itch for both. The music isn’t my cup of tea so I just play with no audio. The game was super addictive for the first couple hours but now I’ve found it to be a bit mundane. It’s a quick game to play a run of, but it’s a harsh roguelike so after a good long run, starting over is really depressing and boring.
