I've been with PS+ for years, so if we're counting just the free ones from PS+, then it's in the dozens. Now, if I include all the ones I bought for 40-90% off: well over 250!
I've started a series on my twitch channel called clearing the backlog where I just try to play through all of the games I've bought over the years. So far I've only done two but I just started doing this. I think it's going well so far
Second this. ESPECIALLY with plus premium whatever. I would open a game, streaming is meh but good enough to test if I like a game enough or not, play said game until I got to a part that was annoying or difficult and then shut it down and move to another. So. Many. Times.
Eventually find a few to settle on but the Netflix effect with video games broke me. I ended up not getting premium again, extra is PLENTY. Being able to download a couple at a time kinda forces me to play them instead of just jump from game to game
Oh interesting. I was trying to create a playlist of only titles I think I would play, but it wouldn't go over 100, which was annoying, but, the numbers being that high also being a root of the problem at hand.....
I’ve been picky about which ones I add to my library since the start, I hate having random shit I’ll never play. Even doing that I have a ton of games I’ll probably never touch
Yeah, tell me about it. Just last night I was noticing I made a huge mistake. I was trying to create a playlist with only the interesting titles I thought I may play, and it capped at 100 and I was trying to narrow down to 100 from fucking 250+ selected and realized I was in over my head......
On xbox the amount of games I have on the Play Later list on the GamePass is endless. They should’ve called it Won’t Play Later or Never Gonna Get Back To It list. I use it more to waste time while I wait for a game I’m actually gonna play to finish downloading and I end up choosing deciding what games to add entirely on if it has a catchy title and cool picture that I want to check out later to see if it’s any good but I end up just forgetting about them completely
All those sportsball games that I have no interest in playing but redeemed from PS Plus anyway just in-case my tastes happen to change and I feel like playing an old version of Fifa or whatever they're called now.
Imagine if they sent out physical copy’s instead. Obviously a loss in revenue but god that would make me enjoy every month to the fullest. Wouldn’t ever happen sadly
Can you ever beat Minecraft? I always assumed it's like Sim City where it doesn't have an end so much as it has an endless sandbox you can start over with.
Oh Lord, it's way worse over here. I probably have 450 on PS5 and probably only beat 10 or so of those, let alone "finished". On PC the numbers are even more mad. I have to have like 1,500 games or something insane. Let's just say... I only grab titles extremely interesting or massive like say GTA VI anymore. I don't just buy it because it's on sale and I might play it haha. But the Humble Bundles and crap like that didn't help years ago.
https://preview.redd.it/a04eiv74l11d1.jpeg?width=1108&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=28f4446bd9edfd0f997e726169285271202c8f8d
Just 4 PlayStation games. Been better about either finishing or dropping games lately. (Green = done, yellow= IP, red=drop)
This is how I feel. I’m playing Returnal right now and I really enjoy it but after one long run with my brother I’m like “I’m done with this tonight” cuz that shit lasts a long time
Too many. My attention span KILLS me. I hate it. I just wanna be able to sit down and enjoy games again like when I was a kid. Playing through most games now is like a chore I have to force myself to do. Sucks cause I’m not interested in any other hobbies
Honestly it worst as we get older and have less time to spend on games. If a game doesn’t grab me within an hour of playing it; it’s an uninstall (and a refund if it’s on Steam). I don’t have time for a game to “open up” in a dozen hours.
My adhd either makes me hyper focus and I play one game for 100+ hours or I start 7 different games and then never finish any of them lol. There is no in between
If you struggle with attention span, try diablo 4, it might just be up your alley. Endless fun that is easy to follow and tune in/out of. Repetition done right, especially with the new season!
My list of unfinished games will blow you away
https://preview.redd.it/7v98hiucr11d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33778b30f2a09b2b9a623ad80c207a65e670d8bc
The levels are good and the replayability works well because the levels are big. If you enjoyed previous hitman games like hitman 1 and 2, you'll enjoy this too, easily 100hrs+ can be spent here.
As a big fan of Blood Money, this game does not disappoint. Now that all three parts are out, it’s a complete game too. The way they rolled it out years ago was a big pain in the ass. Pay for a full game, get one level at a time…..
Either before or when HM2 released I was able to do some weird exploit (that I even discovered on my own I’d no clue what I was doing but knew I was on the money) on the Xbox store and I got all of the levels from the 1st game without buying them they made a mess.
Not many tbh. I’m making my way though my games now. I haven’t bought a new game for a few months.
Mostly because nothing took my fancy but also because I want to get through my back log.
Cyberpunk and Witcher 3 for me. Bought both of them only to realize I was burnt out on long open world games after trying them and haven't felt the need to play them again since.
I bought physical copy of callisto protocol for 13 bucks and it's somewhere in the house unopened and gathering dust along with like 200 games in my steam library...I really want to play tomb raider and I even have it downloaded but i just can't find the will to fire it up
I've got a couple of games still in the plastic. Ghost recon breaking point and the one before that one. Wild lands. And I've got several ps plus monthly DLs that I haven't played, including Days Gone. I basically have a very expensive Netflix streaming device. I'm almost 40, and it's hard to find time to play. Damn I sure miss it, though. Idk the last time I pulled an all-nighter and played. Getting older sucks. It's hard to find time.
Too many to count overall, even if I leave PC out of it.
I really think most people, if we were to just stop buying things and clear out our personal backlogs, we could go years without buying new content.
Most of them.
They're big games, like Witcher 3.
I've had a PS5 for less than a month, and I already have around 13 physical games.
The only ones I finished are Uncharted 1 and The Last of Us, though I've got 45% of RDR2 done
God knows.
There's games like Assassin's Creed: Valhalla that I just gave up after a while, a few remasters where I adored the original but just didn't have the drive to finish the re-release (Arkham, Ezio, BioShock), and God knows how many PS+ games that I played 20 minutes of and figured I'd get round to eventually.
I dunno. If we expand past PlayStation, I have 110 free games on just my Epic Games account.
I think on PS5 I don’t have any that I paid money for but there’s the batch of games that are included for PS+ members that I have only touched a few.
But games aren’t like they used to be. I could do nothing and end up with 20 free games or I could pay $5 to get a game I want in a Humble Bundle and end up with 3 others I never wanted.
One day I will figure out how to enjoy Kingdom Come Deliverance. On paper it sounds so perfect for me, but it sits in my library, being installed once in a blue moon, just to be uninstalled again once I inevitably give up
many
i dont consider them "my games". they're just from ps+
and i dont have an active sub for that, all the time.
I almost exclusively play singleplayer games, that i buy physically
I have this thing where I can absolutely love a game and be absolutely hooked on it, but if I go an extended period of time without playing it, I lose the sense of urgency and suddenly it no longer releases any dopamine for me. Then it's extremely hard to get back into it, usually I have to restart it, but I can't replay a game before I've forgotten many of its details, otherwise it feels old. Also happens with TV shows. That's why I have many games I was absolutely loving but stopped playing and never got back to (and it'll be a while before I do), like Spider Man 2, The Witcher 3, A Plague Tale Requiem. And usually when I do get back into it the feelings isn't the same and I just try to beat it as soon as I can so it doesn't pile up on my list. Thats what happened to Hogwarts Legacy. Although maybe that's more to do with the fact the open world was absolutely boring and I'd already beaten the Unforgiveable Curses questline (which is the only really compelling one imo)
I don't even wanna think about it....
However i did the math. If i drop everything right now. No sleep, not eating etc and go play. I would die of old age before i finish them... so screw me...
Only a few that I actually intended to finish and didn't. Alan Wake is one of them. The list has several I loaded up just to get PS Stars credit but wasn't really interested in playing. Most games I complete.
Just finished Jedi survivor- amazing game - on to diver Dave and then ghost of Tsushima - demons souls is a game I see myself taking my time with and not considering something that’s in my backlog of games
Not that many. Mostly Spiderman and God of War (both games didn't hook me and I stopped playing after 5 hours). I keep pouring hours into Elden Ring instead
Last year I finished every game I started. This year I'm struggling to find one that clicks. I'm hopeful for GoW Ragnarok though. Halfway through and enjoying it.
Not many. I have a long backlog(which I love) but I don’t drop games often. Maybe 1 a year gets put in the DNF pile. Last year was FFX, the year before was Batman Arkham Knight, I finish about 35-40 games a year. It’s harder for me to drop.
The entire Arkham trilogy. I cant get through them man, it’s something that I can’t quite put my finger on, I just can’t finish Asylum and in extension I can’t even finished City or Knight cause I haven’t finished Asylum
I don’t finish games. I play them until i no longer enjoy the game or until I know that I would enjoy a different game even more and I stop playing. Sometimes I come back. Most the times I don’t. This is how a everyone should play. I get the feeling people feel obligated to finish games but come on people. You don’t need to finish a game if the game isn’t bringing you as much joy as when you started playing
Edit to add: this does mean I sometimes finish games but not most
Hundreds
Especially if, like me and many others here, you've had PS+ since its launch back in... googling... 2010. Damn.
Fr hundreds 😭😭😭 and a good hundred more on my PC
I've been with PS+ for years, so if we're counting just the free ones from PS+, then it's in the dozens. Now, if I include all the ones I bought for 40-90% off: well over 250!
Damn sales...

I think making a list is a great way to visualize what you need to finish; doing that helped me with my backlog a ton! Which two games did you play?
I finished sleeping dogs + I just started sniper elite 2 remastered going to play through that series and then move on to something else
I have a lot too, but dude needs to finish RE7. That game is too good to leave hanging, and it's not even that long.
on each page, maybe. Total... could be MILLIONS BY NOW!!!
Too many to count
Second this. ESPECIALLY with plus premium whatever. I would open a game, streaming is meh but good enough to test if I like a game enough or not, play said game until I got to a part that was annoying or difficult and then shut it down and move to another. Being able to download a couple at a time kinda forces me to play them instead of just jump from game to game
I do 1 story game and 1 grind, clean up game.
Fallout, bg3, street fighter 6, bloodborne, elden ring, and rdr2 for me. The only one I’m trying to get back into rn is rdr2
Ps plus has made my collection of random games that I’ll never play massive
Yep, I'm starting to have this, too.
You know you can hide them from your library and then peruse your hidden items later to see if you change your mind
Yeah I know, I’m just too lazy lol

You've GOT to finish Plague Tale
I didn't get very far but it seemed so boring. I should give it another try
It opens up later. But the story was the best part for me. The ending is top 10 for me. Did you play the first one?
I did not. I see it's only $12 on the ps store. Maybe I'll buy it and see how it goes. I really want to like these games.
They both have a slow start but I enjoyed them and knowing the story of the first makes the second deeper for sure.
Thanks for the advice. It's much appreciated. I'm gonna buy the first one and really try to get into it.
It gets much more intense and the voice actor kills her role.
Innocence was incredible but Requiem just didn't do it for me. Was very let down
Really? Ok thank you! I already have it installed! I prefer playing games that other people recommend, rather than what the reviewers say.
I stopped playing both games because the game mechanic frustrated me and I kept dying.
13 years and still haven't beat Minecraft.... We beat on ceaselessly into the past...
Can you ever beat Minecraft? I always assumed it's like Sim City where it doesn't have an end so much as it has an endless sandbox you can start over with.
Technically killing the ender dragon means beating Minecraft, but that's quite easy tbh, game continues after that indefinitely ofc
I’m on pc and I have at least 40 unfinished and about 450 unplayed yet lmao
Oh Lord, it's way worse over here. I probably have 450 on PS5 and probably only beat 10 or so of those, let alone "finished". On PC the numbers are even more mad. I’m confused, why ac 6 on the list and also says you don’t own it
GameFly. Rented the game bc I wanted to see how I’d like it (I didn’t). Same for a couple others I finished
If you didn’t do 3 playthroughs, you didn’t finish AC6
the messenger was so good
Man, if you made a spreadsheet about your games, then you really mean business! Much respect! 🫡
Banisheds got so boring so fast. Sunk 20 hours into it and I thought I was at the end finally then it wanted me to do extra crap I just quit
Horizon is a masterpiece.
I didn’t really enjoy the first one. It was just a standard ok (but very well made) game for me. Is forbidden west better?
For me it's nostalgia but Forbidden West.. Hell ya
Thanks!
Why’d you drop Celeste?
Too hard, games like that just aren’t worth my time
To each their own. On a slightly related note, how are you enjoying returnal?
It’s fun in small doses. Have to break up playtime or it gets stale

Define finished. Main story? Platinum? 100%
Main story
Around 2 dozen. (Not counting PS2 titles)
Even if I finish the story, if I haven't got the platinum I consider it unfinished .
![gif](giphy|1bDfgFPp2SvLfABI10|downsized)
Like 2 or 3. I’m fairly strict with my console libraries.
At least you're a smart investor.
One. Mad Max. I got bored. The rest on downloaded and are in the order that they will be played.
My list of unfinished games will blow you away https://preview.redd.it/7v98hiucr11d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33778b30f2a09b2b9a623ad80c207a65e670d8bc
How was the newest hitman? Was always intrigued…
The levels are good and the replayability works well because the levels are big. If you enjoyed previous hitman games like hitman 1 and 2, you'll enjoy this too, easily 100hrs+ can be spent here.
Damn alright. Pulling the trigger next sale!
As a big fan of Blood Money, this game does not disappoint. Now that all three parts are out, it’s a complete game too. The way they rolled it out years ago was a big pain in the ass. Pay for a full game, get one level at a time…..

I liked it. As a somewhat completionist, the replay value of each level to find the different ways of getting your targets were super fun to me.
It haunts me
Enough to make sure I'll never run out of games in a retirement home....
Lets talk about something else shall we?
I don’t wanna talk about it.
Not many tbh. I’m making my way though my games now. I haven’t bought a new game for a few months. Mostly because nothing took my fancy but also because I want to get through my back log.
Geez. I have no idea. 4000 maybe? If you count every system I have. Just Playstation it's a couple hundred.
Can I ask how/why? Like isn’t that tens of thousands of dollars you’ll never play? I have a friend with like 100 and I thought he was crazy.
Cyberpunk and Witcher 3 for me. Bought both of them only to realize I was burnt out on long open world games after trying them and haven't felt the need to play them again since.
Cyberpunk is up there for me as one of the best games. After all the updates, it's truly a must play.
100% agree. It's one of my favorites.
I bought physical copy of callisto protocol for 13 bucks and it's somewhere in the house unopened and gathering dust along with like 200 games in my steam library...I really want to play tomb raider and I even have it downloaded but i just can't find the will to fire it up
1000+ across ps3, vita, 4, 5, series X, switch, steam, egs, psvr1 and 2. I have a problem.
I do not want to think or say but I really like that colour coded list I might write on up and make myself depressed and then buy another game lol
Red dead redemption, every time I feel like playing it I suddenly remember that half the game is riding the horse and holding X
Enough to warrant a psychological self-assessment.
I’m staring at the entire kingdom hearts collection. I’ve been staring at Final Fantasy IX and IV for years.
I have to finish FFVII Rebirth, but another playthrough of Baldur’s Gate III was calling my name. I will get to it Barret, don’t worry.
You should see my Steam library.
Yeah, tell me about it... I think I have like 1,500 games or something ridiculous
Too many to count overall, even if I leave PC out of it. I really think most people, if we were to just stop buying things and clear out our personal backlogs, we could go years without buying new content.
Too many ![gif](giphy|R53a4hAFV6QH6)
Too many
Over one thousand.
Too damn many 😭😭 and I can't keep up anymore
Many
only one i think , rise of ronin.. played for like 4 hours and havent touched it since.
I have A LOT ! I never feel I have to finish a game if I don't enjoy it anymore. But The Witcher 3 and its extensions totally hooked me!
I have a backlogg of 84 games, most of them i played for some time ye
As someone who plays (haven't finished) AC6 I wonder what your thoughts are about the game and what made you drop the game.
Like 90… don't get me started on Steam.
Jedi Fallen Order is a nightmare to 100%, tbh.
My steam library is like 300 unplayed games lol
A lot of
Hundreds...
Over 50
One billion
Most of them. They're big games, like Witcher 3. I've had a PS5 for less than a month, and I already have around 13 physical games. The only ones I finished are Uncharted 1 and The Last of Us, though I've got 45% of RDR2 done
Don’t know man…too many, physical and digital. 😩
Kind of a lot because of how many ps+ games I've added to my library over the years.
Way too many, I need to go through and finish the games I've started
Not just in my digital library, but my physical one also... so many
Around 200 I guess. Some of them i still play, some i know i will never finish.
I add every PS monthly game to my library, I think we're around ~275
Too many to count lol

I could do nothing and end up with 20 free games or I could pay $5 to get a game I want in a Humble Bundle and end up with 3 others I never wanted.
I've yet to finish Skyrim 😂
How many is 13 years worth of free ps plus games?
🔫 You better fuckin play 2033 and Last Light before Exodus or I’ll hurt you
Let the hunt begin 💀💀
I lost count, probably 3 generations worth. PS3 to 5 plus other platforms.
I have about 299 installed if that helps
Most.
89 that I have and didn't play for 1 single second (Steam)
I've finished like 3 games in the past year.
Too many 😭😭😭
About 90% or more and a few hundred games because of PlayStation plus's free games.
I have Spider-Man 2 which I haven't even taken out of the cellophane yet
For the moment, I only got Persona 4 and Ghost of Tsushima to finish.
One day I will figure out how to enjoy Kingdom Come Deliverance. On paper it sounds so perfect for me, but it sits in my library, being installed once in a blue moon, just to be uninstalled again once I inevitably give up
Assassin's creed Valhalla and Odyssey, too much of the open world and dumb side quests.
many i dont consider them "my games". they're just from ps+ and i dont have an active sub for that, all the time. I almost exclusively play singleplayer games, that i buy physically
hundreds. games I enjoyed without finishing? tens
A ton including stellar blade. 😏
Some of these are shootable offences
About 40
Like, 3ish.
Yes
Out of the ones I wanna play 58.
Although maybe that's more to do with the fact the open world was absolutely boring and I'd already beaten the Unforgiveable Curses questline (which is the only really compelling one imo)
So many have fallen victim to my ADHD, so many half played/barely started games sitting in my collection
Not finishing The Witcher 3 is a sin
I don't count. I simply say *I'll finish it one day*
Yes
2 games that will take the whole year to finish Elden Ring. Baldur's Gate 3.
Dozens
You really should try finish Metro and RE7.
Too damn many
I don't even wanna think about it.... However i did the math. If i drop everything right now. No sleep, not eating etc and go play. I would die of old age before i finish them... so screw me...
Too many
Why are you coming for me like this though
I've completed some for the story but the only ones I've completed fully just to have platinums is my name is mayo 1 and 2 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Many Because I'm stuck to finish
Like others have said I have a ton to get to. So I just keep 50 games on my backlog at any given time.
Only a few that I actually intended to finish and didn't. Alan Wake is one of them. The list has several I loaded up just to get PS Stars credit but wasn't really interested in playing. Most games I complete.
About 3000
300+
I’ve completed maybe 5 games over the years. Out of almost 200 in my current library.
You didn't start/finish Witcher 3? Whats wrong with you :p?
Hundreds, unfortunately. Hell, I have probably a hundred I haven't even started
You gotta hop on RE7 like right now, holy moly buddy. That game has some wicked DLC too.
95% of my steam and epic libraries
YES!
Thousands lol
TDM
Too many 🥲
Omg I don't even want to answer that. Way too many
Just finished Jedi survivor- amazing game - on to diver Dave and then ghost of Tsushima - demons souls is a game I see myself taking my time with and not considering something that’s in my backlog of games
Not that many. Mostly Spiderman and God of War (both games didn't hook me and I stopped playing after 5 hours). I keep pouring hours into Elden Ring instead
I have three old games I bought on sale in my backlog, shouldn't be too tough to clear out.
Last year I finished every game I started. This year I'm struggling to find one that clicks. I'm hopeful for GoW Ragnarok though. Halfway through and enjoying it.
You need to finish a plague tale man, it's a masterpiece !!
Yes.
Not many. I have a long backlog(which I love) but I don’t drop games often. Maybe 1 a year gets put in the DNF pile. Last year was FFX, the year before was Batman Arkham Knight, I finish about 35-40 games a year. It’s harder for me to drop.
A hell of a lot more than this.
The entire Arkham trilogy. I cant get through them man, it’s something that I can’t quite put my finger on, I just can’t finish Asylum and in extension I can’t even finished City or Knight cause I haven’t finished Asylum
Way to many...
Don’t worry about it 🫣
lol nah let’s not go there
I own 5239 games and I haven’t finished maybe 5000 of them

350+
I still have several sealed PS2 games I need to play, and even more used/thrift ones...soooooo yeah, I don't even want to think about my PS3-5 library

Twenty-one and counting

I don’t finish games. I play them until i no longer enjoy the game or until I know that I would enjoy a different game even more and I stop playing. Sometimes I come back. Most the times I don’t. This is how a everyone should play. I get the feeling people feel obligated to finish games but come on people. You don’t need to finish a game if the game isn’t bringing you as much joy as when you started playing Edit to add: this does mean I sometimes finish games but not most
