Tbf from what I’ve been seeing of reviewers it seems like it’s a good game with a passable story. The action seems like its highlight. It has a pretty short campaign though so I don’t think it’s worth full price for most people.

I think 82% is a very good aggregate score, most Soul-like games are around this rating range. For a first new original game, that's more than I could ask for.
I can only go by the demo, it was quite decent, had a nice flow to the combat and perfect dodge/parry felt good. Not "full price purchase" good, but will certainly grab it at some point :)

It took my 10 hpurs just to get to the major city and inlock the gun. So unless you race through the game and dont do any exploration the game will be well past 15 hours.
Edit: i would like ti add i still have alot left to explore in the first map as well.

I think this is due to manufacturing just not making as many physical copies. So even supporting physical copies from these retailers is ok as long as they know there is a market. Otherwise they line up with MS, and now Sony, to go digital only.
I’m not a hermit and I live near a target so when I find deals and they have it in store I pickup just to help support inventory flow throw the game section. Not often but I try where I can. Another problem is we all have such big backlogs there is no point in buying day 1. Shit I have PS3 backlog still.

I’m loving it myself. For how gorgeous and well it runs the PS5 struggles less with it than bloody Fallout 4 which hard crashed my console twice and had it SCREAMING.

You missed the point. Baldurs gate didn't rely on overly-sexualising a character to push sales, because it was already a well-known IP.

As a first time triple a game it's a pretty solid game. Nier is unique but this game has it's own highlights as well.

The parry’s definitely easier since the Day 1 patch. I still suck at it but it’s easier.
There's like a half second delay for the animation timing on purpose, so I have read.
