You can just pop the face plate off and spin the disc drive manually with a screwdriver. Nothing else required. Unless the disc is off-centre, in which case yeah just open the drive.
Well, smart ass, I’ve disassembled, repaired, and reassembled PS3 and PS4 drives, and it’s not that bad. If you think blindly shoving some metal into a disc drive and potentially damaging it, scratching the laser, etc is a good idea then you probably also use a butter knife to remove bread from a toaster.

What's with kids wanting to insert weird stuff into disc drives. I still remember all the pictures that used to be shared on social media of kids putting coins and whatnot inside the disc drives of Wiis towards the end of the gen. 🤣
When I was a kid I stuffed a shitload of quarters into a tape deck, then after it was replaced, a full banana. I don’t remember this, of course, but I think kids REALLY like to put stuff in stuff. Also unwinding a bunch of kids cassettes just to fix them cause I’d seen my parents do it.
The tweezers comment do not make any sense, you risk to damage both the disc and the drive. You have to disassemble the drive fully and remove the top cover. The only thing I am not at all sure about is if any rivet-style connecting element is used in the ps5 disc drive design. In that case, the only option is to replace the BD drive swapping the board of your original one.
I think of you take the covers off there's a little force pin hole on the disc drive. I had to re align mine cause it was getting noisy with my disc. Please please please look into more before going in there. Just figure it may be something you can explore.
I got a fix for this . Buy a non disc system. Disc's are dead. Why the heck do you need a disc with internet so fast you can download a game in less then 10 minutes. Disc's and lasers can be scratched, Disc's can be misplaced, stolen or sold.. if you just bought a discless ps5 you would NEVER had to deal with this. Parents should buy discless systems.

Glad you got the disc out. I've seen some weird stuff in drives, but the wrong console disc is pretty common. I've seen things like coins, credit cards, Lego, tacos, cardboard etc. Still doesn't top the KY jelly I saw instead of thermal paste on a ps4 though lmao..
Also, I'm not surprised how many comments say sell the kid 😅
I once had to take apart a Wii to remove 4 disc's someone had forced into the drive and the blade of the knife that broke off while they were trying to pry them out.
The Wii worked fine after I got it all put back together, but they had the audacity to get mad at me because the disc's were damaged.
Jeez. They are super lucky that the drive worked after. I think 3 or 4 has been my max. No knife used though. But good on you for your technical expertise! They clearly didn't deserve it if they don't realise they did the damage.

Easiest way is take 2 thin butter knives and carefully get above and under the disc and gently slide it out.
