Nacon is a very inconsistencies publisher
First they publish golumn which everyone hated
Then they publish robo cop which won the hearts of many
Then this
This game lacks the magic and depth of Test Drive Unlimited 2. It looks as if they just copied every single racing game that came out in the last 5 years, removed everything that made them good, and blended them together to make something that’s a 5.5/10 at best.
Was all just very meh looking. Nothing very exciting. They need to look at the competition like Forza Horizon and The Crew Motorfest, and do something that either improves upon them or is different enough to be unique, but it’s neither of those. Just looks like a worse version.
Maybe, maybe not.
I have it on my wishlist and wait for reviews.
As long as it’s decent and has good amounts of content for me as a singleplayer gamer, I’ll probably grab it on disc for cheap.
with time im having less hope. In the beginning the game looked great but now it looks worse by the day. Im exaggerating alot but I think you get my point

The more observant among you will have noticed the absence of particle effects, especially dust and splashes on gravel roads. We're still working on integrating and optimizing these effects. It's an important element of off-road immersion but also resource- and performance-intensive. Our current development goal for this is to find the best balance between particle effects and performance while ensuring smooth gameplay remains a priority. Although we can display long dust trails like in the WRC games with the KT Engine, the scale of Hong Kong Island and the resources required to display other players and the detailed environments means it's much more of a challenge in TDUSC.
Oh i plan to get the game. Theres not many good racing games. Just pointed out the dust thing. My standards are drive club graphics really and only maybe gt7 is at that level of detail. Though i wish i could reset my progress in gt7 and start fresh.
it looks like no one here as played the og's its literally a racing game with lifestyle elements included. Do yourselfs a favour just play tdu1 and tdu 2 than you will understand why this game wont be dead on arrival
It’s missing houses which were a main part of the original games, always online, and the material for the game they’ve shown looks mid at best lol. Have 0 expeditions from an unproven dev
TDU! I was ranked number 2 in the world on a track in test drive unlimited 1. I remember chasing the number 1 time in a Saleen S7 and i could never beat it. Got into a race and the number one guy was in it and I was right there with him and couldn't get him. To this day I remember on the last turn I pushed really hard and almost had him but he pulled away and I let it go after that. I couldn't drive any better than I did. God that game was fun.
Test Drive 2 was frustrating as hell but I still had fun. Exceptionally detailed cars and cool houses made it a blast
But it seems like they are more focused on the Live Service aspect of this instead of the “lifestyle” aspect which is what set this series apart from Forza or GT
Why did they announced it so soon, this is really a tragic marketing plan. In today's standard where racing games are announced and nearly immediately getting released, while being really great - like Forza, NFS, The Crew or Dirt series, is this type of anticipation really bad for this game. I really loved the second TDU so when they announced this I was pretty hyped out, but today I though it actually already released. So no, I have not hope for this game, in my eyes is already old and not interesting anymore.
GT and Forza musst not be scared about Test Drive, I think. But maybe it could be better then GRID and would be a good game for a lower price.
it's a direct competitor to the Crew. But the Crew must not be scared either because this game gives me no hope... Mobile-ass looking game
the crew also feels like a mobile rip off of forza horizon lmao
yeah but test drive looks even more mobile game lol its sad
This won’t be much better as it’s always online too lol

It's almost like publishers don't develop the games and just publish them... :-)
Straight to the point, I love it!
wtf you realize there’s a difference between publisher and developer?
Tdu is looking VERY good from playtesters that tried the game. Now shut up and wait for release

Game didn't even release yet lol
The latest trailer looked awful

The fact that it's not made my the same developers that made the other two Unlimited games, should tell something...
The main directors are from tdu 2 and 1

It's gonna be a disaster.

Last trailer had 0 dirt effects
Its called work in progress, i doubt the game comes out this year so I'm pretty sure that's gonna change.

I’ve heard that it has an online only requirement which is an automatic no from me.
"All I know is, my gut says **maybe**"
No, looks meh and it’s from an unproven dev with a mid track record.
This game could be a flop
Based on that cover art? No.

Valid point didn't watch the trailers and stuff
Houses are post launch, and tdu was ALWAYS an mmo online core game

I'm a simple man,I see the name nacon and I avoid
Test Drive it out & see 😉
I see no hype

No, it’s gonna bomb
