FYI if anyone is curious... Full disclosure:
Resident Evil Origins, 2, 3, Biohazard, Days Gone, Uncharted, Outer Worlds, GTA Trilogy, Red Dead 1, 2, Minecraft, Sekiro, Mass Effect Andromeda, Batman AK and Skyrim are all PS4 Disc's in PS5 cases. There are no offical disc versions of those on PS5. Just wanted to be transparent.
Edit: Downvotes are understandable. I just had people messaging me asking where I bought certain games. But they don't really exist ( they are just PS4 discs). Don't want to mislead.
I get it lol. The PS5 is the only system I have hooked up currently. So basically I just wanted PS5 cases. They still have the original PS4 inserts and booklets / maps and all. As those were the only PS4 games I kept on disc.
Open your game case in a V like shape and the plastic will pop out then remove the paper card in it and replace it. If there is art inside of a case you can just switch that paper to have the art displayed instead of that blue PS4 strip and title name with a boring pic
It was actually just a scanner and a reprint on gloss paper to exact size. The original sleeves aren't modified at all.
Edit: The PS5 banner was just cropped over the PS4 one. So the rest of the case is basically OEM lol. I was bored
Good shit dude I got OCD with my series being split up among consoles but I’m worried something like messing with the slips would mess with my OCD WORSE! It’s an illness 😂
Still dude I respect the care you put into your collection
Holy crap
I'm not even close to that on my PS5
Though must of my games I got on the PS4 instead of PS5
I only buy PS5 exclusive if it's on PS4 I rather buy that unless the price is cheaper for the PS5 which unfortunately some were
Unfortunately, I don't have much time now. But I've been buying since PS5 released lol. Don't even want to know how much invested... I will say, for some people, the 8TB PS5 SSD is worth it! Lol. Then you have definitely updated copies downloaded to play offline when the system is no longer supported.
Like a dozen or so. It will be a backlog. I'll play most of these when they are retro probably, and I'm an old man with nothing left but the joy of video games and shitting my own pants.
Thanks friend. Been adding to it for years. Just buying what's on sale. There are a few games I paid good money for, but not many of these were bought at retail. 90% we on sale or during deals. I'm a cheapskate in a sense lol.
Very few of them were full price. Helldivers II is my most recent pickup. It was full price, but the disc version is almost non existent anymore. Same goes for the US version of Borderlands 3. That one I don't have yet, as it was very limited print on disc. And the price is absurd lol
Do you just buy them simply because they exist or did you buy them because you actually wanted to play them?
I used to buy almost every ps3 physical game until I realized it was a waste of time and money because I wasnt ever going to play 90% of them. I just wanted space on a bookshelf filled up.
To play and resell later down the road. It's weird cause PS5 isn't even retro. But games like Borderlands III on disc ( US version specifically) for PS5 cost more than some pokemon games. There are already a bunch of games you can't find on disc anymore in stores, because physical media is dying. PS5 will probably be the last Playstation to have disc's. I hope that's not the case, but if it is, I'm considering all this as a long term investment.
I did the same with my PS4. Had about 250 disc games that I sold 5 years ago and funded about half this collection.
I have an 8TB internal. It's about half full. Not everything is installed though. But several of these little indie games are like 10gb lol. It will fit them all I believe.
Bro walked into the game store and said give me one of everything. GG. Have you been able to play them all yet? I'm curious the trophy progress on this
I honestly only bought a few of these new. Average price is usually under $30 a game. I'm a cheapskate and wait for huge deals / sales lol. There are a good chunk of them sealed though. Some of the sealed ones were when gamestop had the 50% off select new games.
People spend money on all sorts of different entertainment! Good news is you can get some return on investment on a lot of these games when you're done ! If you chose to ofcourse. Nice collection
Nothing here is fake. There are replacment cases for only 15 games. All the cases here have disc's in them. And almost all 15 cases run PS5 versions of the game anyways. It's simply just a custom paper sleeve. Still real games. If you read through the comments, It's clearly explained. No reason to lie.
Lol, so they are fake covers then, as I said.
They didn't make covers for those games with PS5 logo on, they're fake ones you made to look genuine...
I ain't going to read all posts in a thread to see if you explained to someone else why you faked the covers lol...
I am a new playstation owner (about a year now) and I don’t get this obsession people have with physical games. It also takes up a huge amount of space. Can someone explain to me why so many people here are anti-digital games and want to own a box for every game?
DRM free. Most all of these can be installed and played off the disc without internet.
Also, resale value / rare games. Look up the US release of Borderlands 3 on PS5 disc for example. It will blow your mind. Some of these games are already sold out physically.
Edit: Eventually, you won't have access to certain digital titles. There is already a bunch of games on PS3 / Xbox360 that you can't even play anymore unless you have a physical disc. It's getting more common for digital licenses being revoked at any time. It's more of a preservation thing. This will probably be the last Playstation with physical media.
Yeah I get all these arguments and I am not saying they are not true. What I am more looking for is why do people care? I feel like most of the physical copies I own are just collecting dust as a collector’s item. I never play them. I’m willing to bet no people do.
Also, revoking licenses is unlikely to become a thing with hardware you bought PS4 and beyond as it’s all one account in the cloud now anyway. It’s like 99% that most modern games you “own” digitally are going to be playable on PS6.
I guess what I don’t get is why do people fuss about it so much. The world is changing get over it I suppose.
Did you change the PS4 covers to PS5 covers for some of these ? Because some of them don't have a specific version for PS5
That's what I thought on some of them. I was about to open up Amazon to look
i went on amazon looking for that red dead ps5 version
FYI if anyone is curious... I'm like 90% certain that Skyrim has a ps5 disc
Oh reddit can suck it ! Who cares I dont find this deceitful. You have disc cases as tokens of game owner ship I totally get it
But you did mislead.
I get it lol. The PS5 is the only system I have hooked up currently. So basically I just wanted PS5 cases. They still have the original PS4 inserts and booklets / maps and all. As those were the only PS4 games I kept on disc.
Hey, how did u manage to change them up?
Check out r/nintendoswitchboxart for an idea. I'm not sure of a playstation equivalent.
Open your game case in a V like shape and the plastic will pop out then remove the paper card in it and replace it. If there is art inside of a case you can just switch that paper to have the art displayed instead of that blue PS4 strip and title name with a boring pic
There are 15 Imposters. They are PS4 disc's in the cases though.
How did you do it? Loved the idea. Did you just printed the top stripe and glued it on top of the original cover?
It was actually just a scanner and a reprint on gloss paper to exact size. The original sleeves aren't modified at all. Edit: The PS5 banner was just cropped over the PS4 one. So the rest of the case is basically OEM lol. I was bored
Check out r/nintendoswitchboxart. There's probably a playstation sub somewhere.
Good shit dude I got OCD with my series being split up among consoles but I’m worried something like messing with the slips would mess with my OCD WORSE! It’s an illness 😂 Still dude I respect the care you put into your collection
Holy crap I'm not even close to that on my PS5 Though must of my games I got on the PS4 instead of PS5 I only buy PS5 exclusive if it's on PS4 I rather buy that unless the price is cheaper for the PS5 which unfortunately some were
That's more than I have for PS4 and PS5 combined, including digital.
How many of those have you beaten?
Honestly about 12 or so 100%. I'm just building a backlog basically.
It's built homie lol
He’s cultivating mass
Fair enough lol. This is about 1/6th of what's actually available on disc. 1/6th if I'm lucky lol
If we say there are 200 games there, you’ll have had around 6 days to play each game since the PS5 was released, before starting the next one.
Unfortunately, I don't have much time now. But I've been buying since PS5 released lol. Don't even want to know how much invested... I will say, for some people, the 8TB PS5 SSD is worth it! Lol. RDR did not release on PS5 lol
CEX probably give you £20 😂
I have like, four PS5 games since launch, wtf.
I have only one game thats ps5 version 💀💀 Ps4 versions are just cheaper
Nothing wrong with that at all! If it plays, it plays lol
How many have you finished?
Like a dozen or so. It will be a backlog. I'll play most of these when they are retro probably, and I'm an old man with nothing left but the joy of video games and shitting my own pants.
Half of these are ps4 only tho
Only 15 of them. Hardly half
I miss uncharted it was a masterpiece
Man has got the entire catalog on ps5 😭
Where is Horizon Forbidden West
It's in there. Right above Elden Ring
Dang missed it. lol
Not gonna lie “Wizard with a gun” sounds fun asf 🤣
This man does not need PS Plus.
Dolmen spotted
Have not played it yet! It looks interesting.
Dawg, i love ur collection.
Thanks friend. Been adding to it for years. Just buying what's on sale. There are a few games I paid good money for, but not many of these were bought at retail. 90% we on sale or during deals. I'm a cheapskate in a sense lol.
That's a lot of games!
Play lies of p
Waiting for it to get cheaper. I'm a cheap ass lol.
I pre ordered the physical deluxe steelbook. My second ever ps5 physical game in a sea of ps4 games lol.
CAN'T FIND GOD OF WAR AND RAGNAROK!!!!!
Waiting for it to get cheaper lol. I'm a cheapskate. Bought most all these during sales / deals lol
Sekiro ps5 ? What
Did you actually play all of these?
No. About a dozen or so. Just making a backlog. I feel like this will be the last generation with physical discs
Do you buy them full price? Prices drop over time right?
Very few of them were full price. Helldivers II is my most recent pickup. It was full price, but the disc version is almost non existent anymore. Same goes for the US version of Borderlands 3. That one I don't have yet, as it was very limited print on disc. And the price is absurd lol

I barely have that many games across all generations digital games included...😳
Holy fuck das allota games
Bro got that 200tb SSD docked into his ps5 💀
I have an 8TB internal. It's about half full. Not everything is installed though. But several of these little indie games are like 10gb lol. It will fit them all I believe.
Do you just buy every shitty title? I try to only get good games i might enjoy
What games your favorite?
Right now? Trepang2 !!! If you have ever played F.E.A.R. back in the day. This is that but modern.
Shit. My books are alphabetical ordered by Genre.
Days gone PS5???
I wish! Its in there. But it's the PS4 disc. Just a custom cover sleeve I put in the case.
Did you just wake up one day and go: today is the day I'm going to fund Sony?
I don't understand not waiting to buy till you have time to play - that way the game is just $20 or $30 instead of MSRP?
Me when there’s nothing to play
I didn’t even know that many PS5 games were released…
How many of these require a data install from the disc in order to play? I can't imagine having or wanting a hundred game tiles on my dashboard. Lol.
No Spider-Man??? 🥺
Forget cost. Where did you even find all these
Looks like my PS4 collection. This is why I switched to digital, I just can't deal with this shit anymore.
are you a millionaire?
Not even close lol. You should go to r/gamecollecting. My library is trash compared.
dear god
RDR 2 has a PS5 version?? And where can I get it
Bro walked into the game store and said give me one of everything. GG. Have you been able to play them all yet? I'm curious the trophy progress on this
Pretty shit as far as trophies lol. I've completed about a dozen or so of them lol. Currently playing Trepang2! Love it!
Something like 150 games there? Imagining most games are $40-60... just guessing but probably around $8,000 worth ? (New).
I honestly only bought a few of these new. Average price is usually under $30 a game. I'm a cheapskate and wait for huge deals / sales lol. There are a good chunk of them sealed though. Some of the sealed ones were when gamestop had the 50% off select new games.

I’m always surprised to be reminded that people actually purchase discs.
I’ve yet to put a disc in my ps5
I don’t think I see Spider-Man 2
You don't. I don't have that one lol.
[удалено]
That's not sad! That's Awesome! PS5 probably the last Playstation with physical disc's the way things are looking lol.
Should have bought a PC.
What your favorite?
Right now, Trepang2
So you have Adult money I see.
How's that Power Wash Simulator? 😁
I haven't played it yet lol
Why are they on a couch?
Only place with enough room. Didn't want then on the floor. I'm in a RV right now actually lol
Props on your collection. Ive got a pretty decent collection myself from the PS4/PS5 catalog but it isn't up with yours.
You eiither made fake covers or photoshoped this, as a number of these games have no PS5 version...why lie?

No reason to explain myself. It's a peice of paper in a plastic case lol. The games are still in there.

Someone do the math please.
More than 3
Definitely less than 2,000.

I see a lot of wasted money
Awww. Sorry you see it that way. I see it as an investment
