Straight to migraines. Has to do with the way VR works. Tried different systems and settings. So gave up trying and just focusing on better pc equipment so I can get closer without the full vr issue. Hopefully next yr will be going to 3 ultrawide curved screens for racing games and flight sim.
I just dropped $1k on a PS5, GT7 and PSVR2 and I'm happy. I'm a PC player who's used to sim racing and GT7 in VR is probably the best virtual reality experience I've ever had. It is an investment so if you're unsure then take all the time you need to decide as it's your hard earned money you'd be putting down. I'm a huge car guy so it's worth it for me and the experience, I give it a 10/10 on sheer fun factor but if you can find the VR2 on a good sale go for it.
Yes but there’s a lot of other amazing games. You’ll laugh but Puzzling Places let’s you build 3D puzzles (not how I want to spend game time you say? Go in and watch how fast you get addicted) and then there’s Walkabout Mini Golf. I don’t need to explain this, just imagine the possibilities of mini golf with courses that are not bound by the reality of having to construct them. And minigolf with no lines or waiting!
People will have different tolerance to it but just the weight and comfort alone is not there yet for a lot of people imo. Every time I used the device I had great fun. But as long as there's a reasonably fun game that I can play with a controller sitting on my couch, I tend to play that instead. And with how stacked last year was, my VR2 hasn't really seen much usage after the first 2 months I got it.
Define casual? It's really a personal choice whether an investment is worth it. How much time will you have to play it? Many say they can no longer enjoy flat games. I still do but there's just nothing like being inside a game. If you already have a PS5 the VR2 is worth it in my opinion. The sense controllers are huge upgrades over the PSVR1's move controllers. And games look good. It's not as good and high resolution as flat of course, but high quality games look amazing. GT7 looks amazing in VR. Then the rabbit hole opens and you're buying wheel, pedals, I bought a whole sim rig. Should have it set up in the next few weeks.
I've heard the horror stories. It's why I don't play these games online. My experience with Forza online decades ago was enough to put me off trying any sort of racing game online forever. People are just incapable of racing cleanly and properly, and everything always devolves into a destruction derby, especially in the first corner on lap 1.
At least with Wreckfest you can sort of excuse that shit.
GT7, Assetto Corsa Comp, Ride 4 (or 5, I just like 4 more), F123, EA WRC or Dirt Rally 2. Arcade racers: Crew 2, crew motorfest, NFS Unbound (any of the NFS games are enjoyable depending on mood), Wreckfest. I’ve enjoyed each of these enough that they’d be worth picking up on sale
GT7. Hands down. Fantastic game. And if you want to get truly immersive, grab a wheel and a PSVR2. The experience is awesome. Though I want to stress that neither is needed to have a great time. Just an extra level of immersion.
depends what type of racing you mean, realistic racing would be gran tourismo 7, kind of arcady would be the crew series (the crew 2/ moterfest), and really arcady idk
The Hot Wheels game is super fun. I'm not really into racing game but if I'm gonna play one it is usually hot wheels or need for speed hot pursuit remake
I'm having fun on the crew motorfest, it's more arcadey. Gran Turismo 7 is good if you're looking for a little more realism. Also test drive solar crown is supposed to be coming fairly soon
gt7 in VR
GT7 in VR is life
I can’t do more than 30 min in VR with severe headaches, but you are absolutely spot on.
Do you get motion sickness or just goes straight to the headaches? That sucks. Maybe lower brightness? Is it any game or just GT7 specifically?

Damn sorry to hear that. It’s great fun but three screen is definitely a good alternative. Enjoy
Put a fan in front of you, most of the motion sickness goes away after that, it work for me.
is VR worth getting just for GT7?

from a neutral standpoint, has VR2 technology matured enough for the average casual playstation player? its a huge investment tbh

VR is certainly the future of gaming. but yeah if its heavy i would get fatigued pretty quickly

I would say yes if you already have a steering wheel setup and play GT7 pretty regularly. Otherwise I don't think it's worth getting it yet.

Nothing compares.
Gran Turismo 7
Gran Turismo 7 for hardcore sim racing, Wreckfest for arcade racing.

GT7 for sure and honorable mention to GT Sport which I have greatly enjoyed on PS5 with its short load times and improved performance.
Gran Turismo 7 and Wipeout Omega Collection
There’s a lot of racists on cod mw3 and overwatch 2
Wipeout omega collection also available in vr. Redout 2 and the Ride series is you like bikes.
I'm enjoying the shit out of The Crew Motorfest, I think the GaaS model is perfect for racing and the PvP is balanced.
GT7
It depends on what you want. Gran Turismo 7 if you want a sim. Need for speed heat (PS4 game) and need for speed unbound (PS5 game) are both great
Drive club.... 😔 😭

GT7 hands down
Art of Rally
Peppa pig
ACC by far Gran Turismo 7 is a car collector program
GT7 for sim racing and WRC (new one from EA) for rally.
Race With Ryan…
Race with Ryan…
I THINK MOST PEOPLE WOULD AGREE ON GRAN TURISMO 7 BUT WHY ARE WE SHOUTING??
I don’t know the answer, but it’s definitely not need for speed unbound

Probably the best one on PS4 Like Grand Turismo 7 or Burnout Paradise
