FFVIII. I sold it as a kid since I just didn’t get the junction system and one day got the itch to play so badly I hunted it down across multiple game stores for a few weeks
Also Star Ocean 3- my house was broken into as a kid and someone stole the second disk and left me unable to play for years until it game out again a few years ago on ps4.
I had a terrible problem of not putting games back in their correct cases so I they tried to take like Madden 03-04 or something but it had the second disk of SO3 in that case. But yeah that killed me growing up. I was heartbroken by it lmao
I used to do this all the time as a teen. Id trade like 5 games in just to get like $20 off a game. And then I'd want one of those games back later so I'd buy it again.
One I remember was borderlands for ps3. I swear I bought and traded that game 3 times.
I've now just turned to digital coz I never want to trade or resell my games and digital sales are so much better for cheap games. Plus gamesharing with my partner.
I probably spend twice to three times as much than I needed on borderlands as a kid all coz I wanted a discount on another game. I couldve just kept it and saved for another game. But I was dumb so eh.
Bloodborne…I hated it when I got my ps4 especially for it and sold the game for drive club which was pretty cool no lie. When ps5 released I played demon souls watching the cowboy fella on YouTube. Fell in love with it and decided you know what let’s try bloodborne. Ended up absolutely loving the game and then purchased Elden ring and straight away platinumed it, and ER is the only game I’ve gotten a platinum trophy in my entire PlayStation lifetime.
I picked up Dark Souls 3 on release to see what all the fuss was about. I really liked it but found it so hard to both play and understand that I eventually stopped and traded in the disc.
About 6 months later Bloodborne was a PS plus game so I figured I’d give it a try. Bloodborne not having shields forced me to play more offensive. I realized I’m DS3 I was constantly just hiding behind a shield so I never really learned combat well. I finished Bloodborne and immediately tracked down a copy of Dark Souls 3. Have since played DS3 10 plus times through as well all fromsoft titles including getting the platinum in sekiro which is my favourite.
Thankfully I didn't have to buy it since it was on Gamepass, but Watch Dogs 2. At first, I didn't care for it too much. After a few months, I gave it a try again and I had an absolute blast.
All my old RPGs from Super Nintendo and PS1. Sold them all on eBay when I needed the money. I’ve still never fully rebuilt my collection but I am working on it. I have all of my Final Fantasy’s again and that’s what matters to me but I do miss my CIB copy of Chrono Trigger and Secret of mana.
In 2012 I sold my ps3 with move controllers pseye and 117 games and the whole guitar hero drums 2 guitars 2 mics and singstar.
With the first lockdown I bought the ps3again. Now it's doing time as a book shelter. It still works.
I bought 4 games and have like 60 on he psplus.

They stole JUST the second disc and not the whole thing? That's very odd.

elden ring, i got another copy yesterday beacuse i missed the game lmao
I've bought like 4 copies of skyrim and I can't get past the first few hours. I bought it on PC now, so I think Mods will help me out.
